First, I've always had exactly the cut I was looking for each time I've been in the chair. Jeff's skill is as sharp as his blades, and he's quick too! Second, he's down to earth and chatting with him makes the cut that much better. You can also see this in his rates. He's charging rates that are reasonable and turn first timers into repeat customers. Finally, the shop was very well put together and has a subtle, relaxed, and minimalistic vibe. Some salons or shops are overly hectic, but you'll really enjoy your time at JR's. Regardless of where you're coming from in the city, you'll pleased be when you head out the door with your fresh cut.

The shop closes at 6pm, meaning they accommodated for you after hours yet you still complain. 2. I've been going to Ana/Helen for 9+ years. It has NEVER been $40. They have always been priced very fairly and have never overcharged me or any other patrons I've seen while waiting, so the comment about being charged extra simply isn't true. 3. Ana & Helen are some of friendliest, personal, and professional haircutters you could have. I have always been taken care of and made sure I liked my haircut. Come here for a great cut at a fair price, and don't write a complaint about not getting instant gratification when calling in 20 minutes before closing :)

They asked us to come in earlier, which I did, but we still ended up waiting until 6:00. The whole appointment felt rushed from start to finish. My son only needed a simple cleanup on the sides and a trim on top, but the haircut came out looking sloppy and uneven. To make matters worse, the price was significantly higher than other barbers in the area. I don't remember the exact amount since it's been a couple of months, but it was over $40 for a young boy's haircut. For that price, I expected much better quality. I'll stick with the barbershop a few blocks away, where I pay around $25 and consistently get a better haircut and overall experience.

There was too much junk and dirt. Nothing was clean in that place I'm giving it a one star because if you can't give a proper haircut then nothing else matters. My personal barber is Barnell, he pays such attention to detail that you end up looking like a new man once you leave. So if you need a great haircut he is the man to go to.
