    Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wrap

This is a step above the average in a small town. Good food and drinks, and they even freeze coffee for ice cubes! They have good sandwiches including paninis and wraps. The frozen chai is to die for (yes, with ice cream). My breakfast today was an everything bagel with a fried egg, cheddar and bacon - egg was medium and bacon crunchy, perfect! The home fries were cubes and flavorful, browned also to perfection! Iced coffee was great - who around here freezes coffee for their ice cubes?! Give this place a try! I'm sure it is hard to survive in a small town, but they are trying to do better than average, so please eat here! Personally I think this is better food and coffee than Speckled Hen in StrasHen

my favorite place to stop when driving from Lanc to Oxford for work! THE.BEST. scones - super light, fluffy, tasty and not dry! So good. And they're iced coffee is so super smooth- and they use coffee iced cubes so noo diluted iced coffee drinks -- win win!! Definitely need to check it out if you're in the area.

Loaded Home fries. Perfectly cooked potatoes, bell peppers, and bacon covered with cheese. Yum!

Great folks, really cool establishment. Perfectly sized menu with something for everyone. Prices are reasonable.

Just a warning this is their $6 avocado toast, several pieces of avocado on dried toast. Shame on you!

They're very high prices here, and I certainly don't mind paying them, when there is an effort put into the food. This is their dried up avocado toast. A hunk of dried old toast, with slices of avocado on the top. No salt no pepper no anything. This is absolutely shameful for $6 this is like a $3 hunk of toast with a couple pieces of avocado on it and they charge you six bucks for it this is disgusting and I won't be back. The time before that I got spoiled pastry. This was their second chance.

    Avocado Toast?

Finally got food from here... not impressed. Got their "Avocado Toast" and it's literally just avocado sliced and put on top of toast- not mashed, no salt, no pepper, no lemon or lime juice, no olive oil or tomato- zero effort made- putting avocado on top of toast does not make it "Avocado Toast"! Don't put something on your menu that your cooks don't know how to make. Also got an egg and cheese on a croissant, and the top of the croissant was stodgy and dry- like someone who doesn't know how much moisture needs to go into making a croissant was practicing and they just served that. It's like they're trying to be trendy, but their execution is laughable. If all you know is SoLanCo fare then this might be considered good, but if you have lived outside of SoLanCo where bakeries and cafes have competition- then it's just disappointing. The Harry Potter Butterbeer is pretty good, if they have someone on staff who knows how to make it.

    A variety of unique beverages.

First, let me say this is a local family restaurant, the service has always been good, and the…read morerestaurant is clean. I have eaten here several times, and while I appreciate that it is a local establishment, the food quality is much closer to what I would expect from a school cafeteria than from a traditional family restaurant. That may sound harsh, but it is honestly how the food comes across to me. The issue is not the service or the cleanliness; it is the quality, presentation, and value of the food itself. One thing I have noticed during my visits is how heavily they promote their "Pot Pie," including advertising on the backs of the servers' shirts that says, "Make Pot Pie Legal." Since Wednesday's special is all-you-can-eat Chicken Pot Pie, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The presentation was not appealing, and the food looked more like a scoop of gravy and potatoes than what I expected from chicken pot pie. There was very little chicken, chunks of potato, and gravy, but no other identifiable vegetables. I ordered a side of peas and added them myself. There was also no pie crust at all. When I asked about it, I was told that "chicken pie" has crust and "pot pie" does not. I understand there may be a regional distinction, especially in Pennsylvania Dutch-style cooking, where chicken pot pie can refer more to a chicken stew with dough or noodle-like pieces rather than a baked pie with crust. I found that interesting and did not argue the point. That said, even allowing for that distinction, this dish was still disappointing. If it is not meant to have a pie crust, I would still expect a hearty chicken dish with a better balance of chicken, vegetables, and some type of dough, noodle, or dumpling-style element. What I received was mostly potatoes and gravy, with very little chicken. I paid the all-you-can-eat price, but I could not finish the first plate. Overall, the meal was disappointing. In my opinion, the pricing is high compared to the quality. My wife does like their chicken strip salad, which is why we continue to go occasionally, but this particular special is not something I would order again.

The bread for the sandwich was toasted but soggy and squashed. The bacon was good. The "hand cut fries" seemed like they were commercial frozen. Under cooked and soggy. We ordered 3 paninis and tenders, along with drinks. Beverages were served shortly after. Four to five couples & groups came and ordered after us. Oddly enough, their food was served first. We waited roughly 30-45 minutes. Didn't think anything of it, until one of the workers dropped the tenders we ordered for my child. Instead of immediately saying she would replace the tenders, she asked if it needed to be replaced. Logic dictates, especially if you work in the food industry and you, as the server dropped it on the counter replace the items immediately, no questions asked. Obviously, I want the items replaced. First & foremost, my child is hungry. Secondly, I paid for the food & expect my order to be fulfilled in its entitreity without racial bias! I confronted the server about her lack of common sense and unacceptable behavior. To which she said, "But you won't let me talk" or "You won't even listen to my side of the story". I mean cmon, you work in the food industry - take accountability! Why am I educating you on healthy food standards and food safety? I told the employee to sit down & her response was "You're not my mother". Real professional! Please note, as a mother I don't raise idiots. Her own mother would likely be disappointed in the way she took zero accountability for her lack of actions and decisions. I waved her away. It's quite obvious that she expected my child to eat tenders that were contaminated from when dropping it on the counter & my group, persons of color to excuse her behavior. We left the establishment, fully aware that the treatment we endured was racially driven. All the other customers who ordered after us were not people of color & somehow got their food before us! Outside, a person of color approached my group. She noted that she has also been mistreated due to the color of her skin & was treated as less than in the same location. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! Employees are racist, lack human decency and common sense! Additionally, employees are improperly trained/educated on food safety.

The guy at the register said that they cannot do that. Confused... I said it slower that I want cheese, but only on half of the sub. Granted... the Italian sub comes with provolone cheese.... He again said that they are unable to do that. He said the only thing they are able to do is put cheese on the side. So I ordered it with "cheese on the side." After waiting 10-15 minutes for what I assumed is a simple sub to make, I received my overpriced sub with barely any meat on it. I also received a separately wrapped container with slices of cheese in it, to which I was charged an extra dollar.... So apparently it is impossible to just put two slices of cheese into only half of the sub. And because of a lactose issues, they charge an extra dollar just for asking for less cheese. I'm just glad I didn't order a pizza with half pepperoni. I'm sure I would have received a cup of pepperoni on the side and paid extra for each slice. Just ridiculous.... And the icing on the cake... I got sick after eating the sub. If you like paying 2x the amount for your food and even extra if you want to take away ingredients, wait 10-15 minutes, then this is the place for you!!

I am so unbelievably glad we stopped here because it was one of the most impressive and tasty dinners I've had in a long time! Their menu isn't super extensive but they do have rotating specials of drinks, dinner, and dessert. I went with the pork chops which came with their seasonal starch and vegetable which was potatoes and zucchini. The pork chop was super flavorful and cooked to perfection. The bacon jam had a sweet and salty vibe which only added to the flavor of the dish. I ordered a ginger and pear mocktail - refreshing. Their drinks looked amazing but I refrained from alcohol for the night , but they were definitely tempting. My mom loved her apricot salmon and had the same sides. Bread and salad a soup are all à la carte add ons. The roll was nice and fresh tasting and my mom had the tomato bisque which she loved and honestly smelled so good! It was covered in melted cheese - yum! We got dessert because of course we had to- all made in house and gluten free. I got the creme brûlée which was hands down the best creme brûlée I've ever had. You could see the vanilla bean flecks and it had a hint of saltiness which balanced out the creamy texture and sweetness nicely. My mom got the carrot cake which was multi layered and came with candied walnuts and caramel sauce. Our waiter was so unbelievably kind and attentive and personable. The restaurant had what appeared to be 3 main rooms. The bar looked gorgeous, we sat in one of the dining rooms which was simply decorated and a bit moody. The building itself is cool and they also had a nice outside area with beautiful twinkle lights. I'm so glad we randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and when we go back to Lancaster we'll definitely be back - prices were pretty fair! Overall, don't sleep on this!

We shared the poutine, which had a lot of tender meat, perfectly cooked crispy fries and a tangy and warm gravy. I would have liked more cheese, but I'm not complaining that much.
