Coffee has a bitter after taste. Ice melted so fast it became watered down. I am not sure what all the excitement is about this place.

Whenever we go on…read morevacation, we try to visit a new coffee shop every morning, and on this day we ended up heading over to Coffee Co. We chose this spot simply because we passed it several times during our vacation, as it sits right off Route 30. I headed inside while my family stayed in the car. Although I knew the building was fairly large, I was not expecting just how many tables and seats were available. From that standpoint, it felt much more like a sit down restaurant than the coffee shop I was anticipating. That said, they did have a designated area for ordering to go, which is where I headed. After looking over their winter specials, I tried to order something with peppermint for my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of peppermint syrup, which was also what I would have ordered for myself. I ended up getting my wife an iced mocha while I went with a hot coconut latte. My coffee ended up being decent. The coconut syrup was easy to taste, but it did not overpower the coffee itself. My wife's drink looked good with whipped cream and crushed peppermint on top, as they still had that available, but she was unable to drink it due to a stomach bug. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future. While I do not know that I would go out of my way just for coffee, it seemed like a nice place for a sit down meal.

The vibe is here is much more casual than Berwyn but maybe it felt that way because I went on. Berwyn's first day. What I personally love about these doughnuts , it's the "layered " part. The croissant like mix between a doughnut and a flaky croissant. They are also big doughnuts.. the flavors are good and very interesting. I got half a dozen to try as many as I could but still left some of the flavors out. Definitely opting for a full dozen next time! Another thing that makes this place stand out , is there savory doughnuts . I got one of those too because I just had to try them.. lol. I couldn't stop eating them lol they are so good! By far, my favorite doughnut in PA. They also offer Gluten free & vegan doughnut options. Which is a huge plus, since my daughter is gluten free. She said "these are the best doughnuts I've ever had" ! The place is really nice , modern like warm Bakery / coffee shop feel. The service was great too. I waited a bit for the gluten free and savory doughnuts, but the employees were very good about letting me know that they would be coming out shortly, which was nice. Will be driving 40 minutes to get my doughnut fix any day!! Definitely worth it.

Not too sweet, good portions where you can taste both the passionfruit and the matcha Truffle fries (truffle powder, parmesan, aioli, scallions) $11 - great portion size to share or it could be your whole meal if you just order this for yourself Turkish-ish eggs (Middle Eastern spiced lamb, two poached eggs, dill, yogurt, hummus, chilli oil, herb salad, sourdough) $16 - this was delicious! It was fun to see some of the products that Lancaster is known for! I had to get the special red soda, and a Whoopie pie. Both delicious! This spot has all the basics you could want. My party of three walked to browse the various merchants/ vendors and foods. My party of three visited this indoor food market where there were many options of pies, nuts, candy, pastries, baked goods, bread, pretzels, Amish quilts, but disappointedly I did not see any Amish wicker storage baskets. My desiderium was to purchase one large storage wicker basket with inner cloth lining, but to no avail as I am characteristically organized in both my living and workplace space environment. Or, purchase one large raffia storage box with lid. Surprising Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market is open and operational on July 4th, 2026 holiday. Customer service is average. I did receive a sales receipt printed from a very dated cash register. There is a large souvenir gift shop in the lower level via schlepping one flight of stairs. It is not ADA accessible. There is no stair climber available either. Ergo, for the mobility challenged take caution and there is very low headroom in the stairwell. My party of three has always patronized to support local souvenir gift shops as tourists - past and present. Personally, I believe in patronizing brick and mortar local souvenir gift shops drives the local economic tourism. We are non-Pennsylvanians. The souvenir T-shirts are hugely extortionate priced at $19.99. This gift shop reminisce nostalgia of Hallmark stores for mugs, decorative pens, bookmarks, post cards, magnets, pins, printed recipe books, small journals, wall calendar year 2027, et al. The costume jewelry was also hugely extortionate priced $19.99. I freely walked the aisles to browse and circled back. I purchased one post card of Amish horse buggy with a farm field $0.50, one Pennsylvania shape magnet $1.99, and one lighthouse shape coaster $2.99. I have a small collection of post cards from travels. I actually needed a coaster for my workplace desk as I am currently using a makeshift coaster of my own arts and craft creation. I love lighthouses for the long history, significance, contribution to navy and maritime industry, including aesthetic of nature scenic local landscape emitting a sense of peace.

Note to those navigating the Bird-in-Hand restaurant website, there is a section for coupons and "specials," that is a must to check out. I need to take a moment to emphasize the customer service, which far exceeds nearly anything I've encountered elsewhere. My hands shake and this was seen while at the hot food area (eggs/ham). The gentleman behind the bar, offered to hold my dish, scoop my food and bring the food tray to my table. Our waitress, spoke to us as if we were friends and her smile, seemed genuine. The breakfast offerings, unfortunately, were a let down. Eggs were lukewarm, scrambled hard, boiled ham, flavorless, pancakes, spongy discs, homefries, potatoes from a can (noticeable corners were cut in many food items), continuing... mini sticky buns, crisp, hard, fruit - lacked variety, baked oatmeal, toothsome, dry, unremarkable. I plan on coming back for lunch - Wednesday, for your chicken potpie; it's so good and to be treated like family.
