I, however have been…read morea complete stranger to the Morton Meyerson Symphony Center until Danny Elfman came and performed his music from his scores for Tim Burton films. What a great venue. The house acoustics are wonderful and the seats were comfortable enough to endure an almost three hour show! Honestly, the bathroom situation could be improved, because the lines were so long (even for the men's) that I really had just enough time at intermission to go there and back. It's a first world music venue with second world bathrooms. Also, I am not a tall guy, but airplanes have more legroom than the Morton Meyerson. I will give them an A+ on programming though, great show, especially to bridge a cross-generational audience! OK, I know Danny is 74 years old, but the bulk of his fans are much younger!

When you arrive you'll want to allow time to get through security/ticketing. Walking in you'll feel like you've been transported in time to an old Hollywood-style regal and lavish theatre. We sat on the upper level for this concert. Luckily the seats were pretty open on our row but may be a bit tight if you are sitting next to someone. This theatre is iconic and definitely worth stopping by for a show at least once.

I purchased my ticket in advance as did most of my group and they have ushers to keep everything organized. The concessions are priced pretty much like you would expect. And the restrooms are large and well maintained. All of us truly enjoyed the play. Eismann Center is very well run.

Richard McKay is tireless in finding new and unique ways to bring chamber music to life. I have been a season ticket holder for two years and every performance has been outstanding and nothing like the one before it. The atmosphere at Moody during a DCS performance is so energetic. It's a social event as much as it is a fantastic concert. What really sets DCS apart is their amount of community service. They provide programming for the underserved in DFW including homeless shelters, title one schools, nursing homes, hospitals, juvenile detention centers and beyond. I am proud to support the Dallas Chamber Symphony and will continue to do so for years to come. Attend a performance and you won't be disappointed.

She showed up on time and played for our wedding ceremony. It was an outdoor wedding (Dallas Arboretum) so it was hard to find musicians who would fit in a remote, garden setting. A harp was perfect for the setting and Laurel did well.

The song list had been chosen for her to play at our Christmas ceremony and cocktail hour. Come to it, she did NOT show up and called crying that she slept through it accidentally. I'm sorry, but someones wedding is not something you sleep through, even once (and I doubt that;s true). The venue and my parents tried calling over and over for the 1-2 hours before ceremony start and no answer. She proceeded to call during the reception (when, I assume, she knew we wouldn't answer) bawling in the voicemail, saying she took too many sleeping pills and had never missed a wedding before. Again, no excuse is ok for me not having the music for my ceremony and cocktail hour. NOT worth the risk--pay a couple hundred more for someone else. VERY unprofessional and inexcusable.

Unfortunately one of the security guards working was extremely rude, they just continuously yelled "keep walking". There were no instructions on people with bag go here, people without bags go here, so it just seemed like the line was going one by one. Then one of the people in my group had to stop at the table to get their bag inspected and I was trying to stick with our group as to not get lost and like I said there were no instructions given to go a specific place so I was waiting behind them and one of the security guards yelled in my face to "keep walking" and looked at me like I was an idiot for not reading his mind and figuring out what he wanted me to do. All the other security guards were very nice and had CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS for what to do so idk if this guy missed the memo but I think that situation could have been handled a lot better without having to scream at people who are trying to figure out what to do and where to go.
