Upon entering, there were a couple of staff members at the host stand. A man who completely ignored me and a lady who was on the phone so she couldn't help me. I waited a bit until the hostess got off the phone and I told her that my friend had a reservation. Gave her the name but she was having a hard time looking for it, so I finally simply texted my friend where they were seated and found them myself. Not sure if my friends chose to sit out in the patio area or if they had chosen to sit there. But as we were eating, the sun was beating down on us hard. So this wasn't a very fun experience for me. Especially for being here the first time. The foods were not bad. And our waitress was awesome because she was quick with everything. I wouldn't mind coming back again, but hopefully I'd have a much better experience than my first time.

Our server was super attentive and he made sure that everyone's food and drinks came out at the same time even if someone came in later. I had the nachos with beef fajita and chicken, and I thought it was pretty good, it has the same set up as nachos from Pappasito's and my only complaint was that I asked for a side of sour cream to go and was charged a dollar for it. So if anything keep in mind that if you request an extra or even a condiment on the side, you might get charged a small fee.

Within 3-5 minutes of my arrival, the valet driver, Gustavo, was involved in an accident in my BMW that caused substantial damage. Valet staff and restaurant management knew there had been an accident, yet no one came to notify me. I sat in the restaurant for more than 90 minutes completely unaware that my vehicle had been damaged. I found out only when I was leaving, when Gustavo approached me with, "Don't get an attitude, I had an accident in your car." That was his opening statement. Not an apology. Not "Are you okay?" Not "We need to speak with you." He damaged my property and somehow I was the one being warned about my attitude. He then became combative, raised his voice at me, and presented himself as though he were management. The level of audacity was almost impressive. Restaurant management did not handle it much better. Johnathan and Jose both acknowledged that I am a regular and recognized my face, yet management showed very little urgency, offered no meaningful acknowledgment of what had happened, and did not even offer to comp my meal. No, a complimentary dinner would not fix a BMW. It would, however, have demonstrated basic hospitality after allowing a regular customer to unknowingly eat dinner for 90 minutes while his vehicle sat outside damaged. The communication afterward with Cedars Valet was even more concerning. Mohammed, Cedars Valet President acknowledged in writing, "we admit what we did" and initially stated, "Rest assure we will cover our damage." Yet the conversation quickly shifted to Cedars attempting to decide, before BMW has even completed their inspection, which portions of the damage they would and would not accept responsibility for. Interesting approach considering Cedars had possession of my vehicle when the accident occurred. Accidents can happen. What does not have to happen is failing to notify the customer, allowing them to sit inside for an hour and a half, greeting them with hostility when they finally discover it, and then immediately trying to minimize the damage afterward. If you valet at Gloria's, understand the risk is apparently not limited to whether your vehicle gets damaged. Pay very close attention to how you may be treated once it does. As someone who regularly patronized this restaurant, I expected significantly better. The accident was bad enough. The lack of transparency, professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care afterward is what made the experience truly unacceptable.

I couldn't believe that was my first time step into South Beach Club (SoBe) since I moved to Houston almost 2 decades ago. Every time I came to SoBe, I got turned away by the long line wrapped around the parking lot before midnight. That's when I normally get off work. But this time, we stopped by on Saturdays. We came super early, like 9:30 pm. Yeah. We got our free pass. Normally, it's $10 cover charge, which isn't bad because there is a huge dance floor with high tech lighting system and sounds system. It was totally worth every penny. Because we love to dance. We adore the music to our liking, more like in the 90's oldies. Yeah, we are older than most people on the dance floor. Thank goodness they didn't kick us out. I remember one night there was a huge group of young Asian guys came in around 10 pm. There were also many birthday celebrations around the seating area. Boy, I would love to sit on a cozy chair after dancing my ass off. Looks like they have some kind of VIP access. There were also girls and straight couples on the dance floor and around the lounge area. Oh, there is a cool patio on the side. Restroom was clean. Looks like there was some kind of upgrades at the club. Yeah. I would definitely return.

Knowing the history of the…read morespace adds a lot more character and appreciation to the experience than simply looking at it as another food hall or entertainment venue. The building itself has a large, open industrial style interior with plenty of natural light, which gives the space a distinctive feel. There is a lot of room to walk around and explore and since it wasn't particularly busy during our visit, we were able to take our time looking through everything without feeling rushed. There weren't any events happening while we were there, so the overall atmosphere was fairly quiet. I could see the appeal of coming back when there is an event happening, as I imagine the space has a much livelier energy when it's being used for its full range of activities. We primarily went to check out the POST Market, which has a food court style setup with different cuisines and food options. (I'll be reviewing each of the places we tried separately.) The selection was varied, although I wouldn't describe it as particularly extensive. Unfortunately, the food experiences we had were consistently overpriced and underwhelming, which made the overall trip feel fairly uneventful. This was probably one of the more disappointing aspects of the visit. Considering the market wasn't particularly busy when we went, I was surprised by how many tables were sticky or visibly dirty. The washrooms were also in fairly rough shape and could have used more attention. The condition of the common areas was noticeably below what I would have expected from a venue of this size. Parking was convenient and free for the first hour, with charges of $6 applying after that. Overall, POST Houston was a pretty average experience for me. The history and character of the building, along with its open industrial design and natural light, are what stood out most positively. Based on our experience, I wouldn't make a trip back specifically for the POST Market. That said, I'd be interested in coming back for an event to see how different the atmosphere is when the space is busier and there is more happening. Hopefully, more businesses continue to move into the space as well, giving people more options for shopping and dining and creating a livelier overall experience.
