The wonderful woman who greeted us made us feel at home with her friendly hospitality. Larger than it looks with a warm homey feeling this store has something for everyone. We learned a bit about the history of Adirondack cheese and a relative cheese company I will leave for the owner to tell you about so be sure to ask. My friend and I had done the cheese trail the year before and all in one day but had a blast. We never found Adirondack that day as we were directed to an old sub location in the Village of Clinton. We were to get a cooler bag in completion and mail in of our completed trail brochure and I had sent mine in with the explanation of what had taken place. I never received the bag but the owner had some in her stockroom and was so nice to give me one when I told her my plight! Can't wait bring my friend here now that I found it!!

Easily some of the best around. We also grabbed the potato salad and mac salad and I'm not even exaggerating when I say it's better than a friend's grandma's... and that's saying something. I could honestly live off it. Prices are very fair for the quality you're getting, which is rare these days. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and just has that classic local butcher feel. Don't forget your bacon, it's next level! I've also purchased half cows and pork in the past, and everything was handled professionally, cleanly, and exactly how it should be. The self serve store has many ways they process goat milk but the gelato is our favorite. The mint flavor is bright and the gelato is not green because they don't die it green. I stop by this market every few years as I now live 950 miles away. But when I get my chance I go by Croghan Meat Market and buy meat like I used to when I was younger.
