Sincerely wish I had looked closer at reviews. Took our truck there. So much greasy stuff on floors our feet were sliding. Not to mention the grease on anything that touched the floor. After the detail I found something under the passenger seat, looked like dried vegetables. This had to be from previous owner, so never cleaned under the seats. Specifically asked for seats to be cleaned front ones looked okay but back looked worse than when I dropped it off. Windows streaky. Dirt on tail gate. Not impressed at all. I cannot speak to the U-Haul side of this shop, but I was not impressed with the cleaning work performed by "The Detail Shop". I recently had The Detail Shop perform a "Showroom Detail", after I cleaned the interior of my truck myself, (I was trying to get as much done before hand so they could focus on the major issues.) I did not wash the exterior prior to the service, nor shampoo the seats. I did attempt to get the salt stains out with hot water & a vacuum. EXTERIOR DISCREPANCIES: My truck was some how semi washed & waxed, select spots of the painted surfaces & disregarded others, it was washed & waxed on the front bumper, sides & tailgate, but the hood, mirrors, & windows were missed. There is an overabundance of tire shine on my wheels, enough so that I now have speckles of tire shine all over my paint. INTERIOR DISCREPANCIES: - The seats were not washed, they were lightly vacuumed. - The floor was not washed, it was lightly vacuumed. (There is still salt stains on the floor, & the gas & brake pedals still have dirt all over them.) - The ceiling was not touched, there is dirt on the ceilings center console after the service. - The A pillars & grab handles have dirt on them after the service. - The interior of the truck was caked with Armor-All, so much so that there are small pools of it on the faces of the radio interface & dash. OTHER NOTABLE MENTIONS: - The truck was dropped off the night before & I left the keys in the Uhaul drop box as instructed. - I attempted to call the detail shop at 12:37 pm, when I call the phone number listed on the internet, I was greeted with a message that said that the phone had been disconnected & was not accepting phone calls at this time. - The detail shop later called me twice at 1:53 pm & left a voice mail to let me know that my truck was done, & to call them back. I was at work & unable to answer my phone. - The detail shop called again 2:49 pm, I was able to call them back at 2:55 on the other phone number they provided, I was able to tell them I would not be able to pick my truck up until after hours, & they agreed to leave my keys in the truck & left it unlocked in the parking lot. My Personal Thoughts & Conclusions: 1) The customer service over the phone, was adequate & the people who run the shop seem like alright people. 2) The quality of the service I was given was subpar, I would not recommend & would not go back to this shop to have another detail performed, even if it was free. 3) If the quality of the service improved, & I was able to verify it before & after the service, I would go back to this shop. 4) The Shop was in possession of my vehicle for over 24 hours, 9 of which were business hours, the detail shop was open from 8 am to 5 pm. Giving the shop the benefit of the doubt that the employees are granted 1 hour for lunch, there were a total of 8 business hours to ensure that all the surfaces had been cleaned properly. In my opinion they fell short of the mark on this. 5) If you are looking to get a showroom detail, I would recommend that you go a little farther down the road (on the same street about a mile into Batavia) to Ziebart, in my opinion the quality of their work is superior. 6) I have not contacted the shop to try to resolve this issue, because they have lost my trust & I don't think that given another chance anything would change. read more

WARNING!!!! If you are looking for a great detail shop to make your vehicle look like new, Well......STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!! The employees do not take the time to clean your vehicle but do take the time to take your money. This shop had my vehicle for more than six hours and still couldn't get the job done. Windows still had smug marks, windshield had dead bugs on it along with the grill, interior was not vacuumed or washed off before armorall was added, and the bed was not washed out. The list just keeps on going. When I spoke with the owner/manage James, he could care less what happened. He says one thing but doesn't follow through. After one phone conversation, he refused to answer his phone or respond to voicemails. If you need your vehicle washed, take it to the dealer or have your local boy scouts wash it. read more

STAY AWAY from The Detail Shop in Batavia. I had an agreement to have my motorcycle completely cleaned and detailed before winter storage. I was told to drop it off at 8:30 am. I arrived on time and the shop was closed. I repeatedly called the shop number (which kicks over to the owners personal phone) with no answer. The owner finally arrived at about 10:00 am. I was told my motorcycle would be ready at 4:00 pm. I arrived only to find the was shop closed early. Again, I repeatedly called the shop number with no answer. I eventually contacted the sheriffs office who was able to locate the owner. The owner arrived about 5:00 pm to release my motorcycle. It had been hastily washed and was still very dirty (bugs, grime, etc). Obviously it was not waxed or polished either as agreed upon. There were also several parts found loose believed to be from using too much water pressure. The owner could have cared less about the entire situation and then had the balls to tell me to bring it back in the spring to have the job finished.
