Went in to have my engagement ring repaired (prongs were loose) and they quoted $1500 for a entirely new setting. This was far more than I anticipated so went to.Barmakian Jewelry nearby and was very pleased. Rather than trying to sell me a whole new setting they said oh you onlyneed a new head. Including labor, it was more like $500. We bought the ring at Desenza but won't be using them in the future. read more

I wasn't going to write a review until I was 100% sure I wasn't going to come back here for a wedding band and... now that I am sure, here I am! I came here to get my ring resized (not purchased from here) and the woman who helped me was a delight! She made me want to come back and work with them for my wedding band. However, when I got my ring back... you can see the incision mark (not sure if this is normal or not) but it's also lumpy. There is also a clear mark on my band where they used the clamps to hold it down to resize it. I didn't and don't care too much to go back because the way I see it, these are marks of me getting an important ring to fit right and c'est la vie but for others, some might not be as forgiving as I am. I kind of got the impression because the ring wasn't from there they didn't find the need to handle it with the same amount of care. read more

I have and my husband have been frequent shoppers at DeScenza's Framingham. I purchased a gold bracelet on 12/30 it has fallen off twice lucky to find it. I have had it in the box for 2 weeks afraid to use it. I went there today to exchange found another bracelet with a better clasp the sales person was surprised of the price since it seemed to have more gold but he would honor the price. Went to start transaction he wanted to give me store credit for the difference. Went to ask the manager if he could refund the difference after about 20 minutes he came out and said the bracelet had multiple dents. I wore it maybe 2 weeks. They would not return it they tightened the clasp and said they were unable to do anything else. So sad after multiple expensive purchases by myself and family members. read more

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Purchased a beautiful bracelet here years back, I absolutely loved it. About 6 weeks ago I lost it and was devastated. My insurance company and I battled many times over emails. They said it was over valued and at first offered me half of the price. Bought a nice Gold and Titanium Omega Constellation watch about 7 years ago. Needed a battery. Brought it back to De Scenza. The man who "assisted" was rude, and after some debate as to whether the battery could be replaced there - finally did so. Why do these companies sell high end watches, and then offer low end service? Why not provide courtesy and appreciation for a customer that has spent a significant sum on high end watch. For that matter - you could probably get better treatment as a watch kiosk across the street in the mall. read more

Shocking customer service today at Decenza Diamonds. My family has been shopping there since the mid 50's.... and me for more than 20 years. I travel from DC to bring jewelry for repair - and to purchase 90% of the time I'm here visiting family. I received a bracelet for a gift a year ago - and the clasp just did not work properly. I exchanged it - and the replacement again just did not stay closed. For a $300 bracelet, worn once, it should work perfectly - and not need repair. Today, with a relative, I returned the bracelet to Decenzas at the urging of an employee - only to be dissapointed at the only option of a store credit when I wanted either the bracelet to be sent back to the manfacturer or a newly ordered replacement. Instead - my only offered option was a store credit. Totally crushed as the Constellations Bavaria is just beautiful. My expectation after a 20 year relationship for not only shopping, but repair work, was more options than a store credit. After much back and forth, and, I admit bad behaviour on my part, I left my repairs and the bracelet. They say they will return the bracelet to the manufacturer and keep me posted - however, I'm really unsure if I will continue to visit - or keep the $600 worth of jewelry purchased on 12/27. Brought a pair of beautiful sapphire and diamond stud earrings to DeScenzas in Framingham and paid a lot of money to have them made into drop earrings. The price tag was high, the quality of work was flimsy, and I nearly lost an earring while wearing because the quality of the work was so poor, one of the earrings just fell off. Fortunately, my husfound the earring in the parking lot! We brought the earrings to Long's Jewelry in Burlington to have them completely re-done. Never go to DeScenzas! Poor quality and poor customer service. read more

I was completely blown away by the service at first, and then again by the quality and craftsmanship of the ring. Kathy and Neil Jr. were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to take care of me through the entire process. At other stores it was a bit intimidating and impersonal, but the amazing staff at DeScenza made me feel completely comfortable and I immediately knew that this was where I was going to buy an engagement ring for my (now) fiancé. I was able to look at and inspect several diamonds of every different color, clarity, and shape learning more about diamonds in the process than I ever thought I would! There was no sales pressure and I felt they genuinely cared about making a beautiful product. Kathy and Neil Jr. also helped me to pick out the perfect setting as I was split between two different styles and they suggested a custom setting that blended both styles and was exactly what I was looking for. Very disappointed in the customer service. From the time we walked in the store until the time we left we felt rushed and unwelcome. My boyfriend and I were looking at engagement rings and are very close to purchasing one. The salesman didn't bother to even ask our names or take time in trying to figure out what we liked. There's a saying that "if you don't know jewelry, know you're jeweler". The first part most certainly applies to me, so when it came time for me to shop for an engagement ring I went to the place that has treated my family well for decades - DeScenza's. I looked over a number of diamonds in the comfort of a back room and the gemologist was great to work with. He wasn't pushy at all, really just answering questions and chatting while I looked at stones. When I wasn't quite satisfied with the selections he suggested he get some others from other locations and I come back in. I was perfectly willing to take my time with such a large purchase, so was fine with making another visit. On the second visit I found a great diamond and completed a ring my fiancee loved. We went back for our wedding rings and had another good experience. We were offered a discount for repeat business and her custom ordered ring came in under estimate. Based on a fair amount of research done before my purchase and conversations with friends who shopped elsewhere, I was also pleased to be confident DeScenza's pricing was competitive. I probably could have saved a 5-10% on Bluenile, but wouldn't have had anywhere near the level of service or personalization that I feel is important for such a purchase. read more

This watch and its wave finish is still being sold actively by EBEL. I brought my watch to my local jeweler for their opinion and they said it needed a buff on the polishing wheel. We love the beautiful, unique pieces in their stock, and we have been in for all kinds of occasions. They never steer us wrong! I want to mention our experience yesterday in particular, because it really sums up the whole reason we are such loyal customers. My grandmother recently passed away, and my mother and I received a WIDE variety of her jewelry, both costume and fine jewelry pieces. ok so I'm not usually in the market for high end jewelry or 1.75-2 carat diamonds. I have made quite a few purchases over the years and have found the sales people incrdibly helpful but for one time I had a sour apple that made the experience unpleasant. I typically will buy a birthday bangle for my niece or a gold bracelet or something of that nature, I may not be spending huge wads of cash. But, I always leave feeling like the most important customer. I have been a few times buying charms for a bracelet I started for my niece and the sales associate Francesca was the most knowledgeble and kind sales associate I have run into. She really went out of her way to make shopping at De Scenza a really nice experience. Jewelry stores always make me feel uneasy. I would give the sales associates 5 stars. I would definitely return as the selection is varied and as I mentioned the sales staff are 5 star indeed. read more

The salesman who assisted us, Neil, was great. He pulled out every ring we wanted to see and was very unobtrusive while we went back and forth between three rings. When we finally decided, he brought us out back to look at loose diamonds, showing us several for comparison until we decided what we wanted, even though the store had closed while we were there we never felt rushed or pressured to purchase. My Raymond Weil watch needed a battery and the first jewelry store didn't know what to do. They tried to pry it open, but scratched and dented my watch instead. Then I took it to De Scenza in Framingham and they knew exactly what to do. They replaced the battery and buffed out the scratches. They were so nice about it and make you feel very comfortable. I recently had a diamond ring repaired there having them replace lost diamonds and repairing some prongs. I was amazed at the beautiful job they did. I have been shopping at DeScenza Diamonds for many years. The staff is very attentive, and you can always find the perfect gift. I recently brought in several pairs of my earrings which I had purchased there to be cleaned, and they came out beautifully. I brought in a ring as well, which the staff member cleaned, and then helped me send out to be resized. The pricing was very reasonable, and it came back very quickly. While I was there, I was able to pick up my daughter two beautiful bracelets for under $30, and a beautiful pair of earrings for under $30 as well that she loves. Since, she is at college, I do not have to worry about her losing them, and they look fantastic. The wonderful part about DeScenza's is you can purchase something very reasonably priced and beautiful or a true treat for yourself. I have been a customer of DeScenza for over 30 years. The customer service is top notch along with the quality of the jewelry being amazing. The most important thing to me is not getting a sales pitch; that will never happen to you at the Framingham store. All of the employees I have ever dealt with were more concerned that I loved the piece I was buying rather than just "trying to push it". I've been to De Scenza twice and both times I've left empty handed. The first time I asked to see diamond studs and the sales associate tried to talk me into CZ's. More recently, I went to look for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. My friend purchased a nice solitaire from the Boston location- albeit quite a bit smaller than the size I was looking for. Unfortunately, they just didn't deliver. I also went to the Boston store, had a similar experience. They may be great if you're looking in the 1 carat range, but failed to deliver in the 1.75-2 carat range. read more

My engagement ring was purchased from a family run jewelry shop in RI that I have done business with in the past and liked but we decided to try De Scenza after a coworker of mine recommended them. They had gorgeous rings and the woman who helped us was soooooo friendly. She loved that my fiancé and I were local high school teachers and she really helped us get gorgeous bands within our price range.
