Amazing selection! Amazing barrel picks for whiskeys! Service is stellar and top notch. Saw a show at the Showbox Saturday night and was looking for a bar to chill in for a few drinks. The Diller Room is close to the Market, and close to the Showbox, right by the Hammer Man. The bar has really cool, old school vibes. We were lucky to grab a seat for the four of us. Can only speak to the cocktails, they were strong and delicious. My husband tried an old fashioned with Buffalo Trace- strong, smooth and stiff (insert joke here). I tried the Dillerlicious- yum! There is a whole book of cocktails to choose from! Cool place!

Stumbled upon this gem when walking around the waterfront up back to Pike Place! This place seems perfect for a date night: low-lit & intimate. Really homey and loved the interior! So many fun cocktails to choose from and more fancy pours depending on your budget. Most of their hard alc was $20 for a shot and could go up to almost $100, but my boyfriend and I were more than content with our cocktail and old fashioned. Prices were around $20-$25 for a cocktail that comes decorated as shown in the drawings! Loved the attention to detail. What we got: - Geisha's Whisper: small serving but very fresh & couldn't taste the alc. loved the lil decor that came with it! - Old-Fashioned: don't know how they nailed it but had the perfect ice cube and the citrus notes really helped you overcome the insane strength of the whiskey You can also tell the owner loves whiskey by the selection on the wall and we got to learn more about the place from one of the bartenders. The bartender from Macedonia (forgot his name) helping us was so friendly and knew a lot about whiskey, which made our experience here quite authentic and enjoyable. Would love to come back here again (whenever I'm in Seattle) later in the night when it gets busy than the late afternoon to get that full bar night effect. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a fun drink!

Overall Diller Room is a homey cocktail bar in a prime location near Pike Place. The cocktail menu is both beautiful and extensive, including signature, premium, and standard drinks. At night, the dim lightning emphasized the intimate, classic, and historical vibe of one of Seattle's oldest bars. My girlfriend enjoyed her glass of house wine ($15) and my friends enjoyed their espresso martini + old fashioned ($20+ each). The bartenders were kind and knowledgeable. While it is a prime location in downtown Seattle, I would subtract a star for price as most drinks on the menu would be nearly $30 after tax and tip

First time visit after Seahawks game (suggested by family member). Love this place! It is eclectic and hip. Love the vibe here. I was drinking mocktails because I had some beers at the game and needed to be clearheaded. This is definitely a younger crowd. Totally dig that. It's cozy and intimate as well. It is louder than I would like for conversation but it wasn't too bad. I love the drink menu. The artist renderings of the drinks were lovely. I wish they listed the artist as I would look them up for a compliment! I feel bad that I was not able to imbibe the drink fare here. I think it makes for a great time. The Diller room is one of the oldest bars in Seattle. Started in 1894, they have been pouring drinks for patrons for over 100 years. This bar is one of my go to for night caps. The interior has a classic and timeless feel. The pressed tin ceiling and original brickwork adds a classy vibe to the bar. The bar has a good amount of seating room. They also have a back seating area offering the same classy vibes. Outdoor patio seating is available and is perfect people watching while sipping on a craft cocktail. This bar features a massive collection of over 900 whiskeys and a decent list of cocktails. I've had their Espresso Martini, Manhattan, and even a Vesper. My favorite drink to get here is the Old Fashioned and served with a large ice cube. This bar does get packed at night. Service is top notch and I've always had a fantastic experience. Pricing is on the higher side. An Old Fashioned is about $22. I've never tried their food and that will be the next on my to do list.

Easy local cocktail bar for a quick drink. I really liked their menu layout with photos for all their drinks! (Didn't take any menu photos, oops!) Drinks were good. Solid spot. Nothing overly memorable, though they had this folded paper crane on a toothpick that was pretty cool, which I kept as a keepsake. :)

this is a fun spot for a night out, it's small and intimate, has a moody/dim vibe inside. lots of bar seats and tables, even a pretty spacious room in the back. drinks are creative, but definitely spirit forward and a bit on the higher end price wise (most were around $20!!!) i believe they also rotate some menu items, which keeps things exciting. we also got a pizza to share, i think it's the perfect size for two people to share for a meal or maybe three people if just snacking. pizza is a crispy thin crust, and just a good standard pizza, not doing too much or too little.

Im not sure if they have a staff problem, but seems odd there is ONE guy working after a Seahawks game..... we sat down and waited 30 minutes before even getting acknowledged by the tender, ladies who walked in directly before me got drinks 15 minutes before I was acknowledged. Didn't seem worth it to come here in this scenario. Drink was tasty at least! read more

Came to this bar while waiting across the street for a table at Vons. It wasn't too crowded so we easily got seats at the bar. Drinks and service were solid. Would recommend if you need a spot in the area to wait in or hang out after 10pm. read more

I like the vibe. It's a very clean and yet also "dive" bar. It's not overtly fancy, but it does have many kinds of liquor. There are only a few kinds of beer but probably one of them is appealing. Around the area is a lot of crazy homeless people, so you often end up with cranked-out weirdos who are not only drunk. On a late Sunday night it became very busy, but the single barkeeper and another security guy were keeping it all going fine. They did have to take a couple out who I thought was trying to coerce me into prostitution, but maybe she was just hammered drunk/altered. Eventually she fell off the bar stool onto the ground so our good security man showed them the door. Some people may feel menaced. I felt it was part of the experience. read more

First of all service was fantastic. Bartenders were responsive and friendly. The bar is very cool vibe and rich in history. Will go back in day time to see more. The whiskey and bourbon options look excellent as well. My old fashion was very good and traditional. The Manhattan was perfect. The Diller Licious however either wasn't made right or we got the wrong drink which I assume was the case. It tasted like a twisted tea or Arnold Palmer. Ancient age Whiskey sour was ok. Diller Rita was good marg. Felt like drinks were pretty pricey. I would go back though for sure for that Manhattan and Old Fashion. Will try the Aristocrat next. Didn't eat any food only cocktails. read more

Bartenders here were very polite. Greeter at the front had a great vibe to him as well. Loved that he let us know that we did not have to have our masks on if we were vaccinated, especially in the warm heat that we had experienced that day. read more

Rob's Espresso Martinis are something to write home about. With a pen and paper. With an old fashioned letter. They will change your life and rearrange your brain cells on what an Espresso Martini should be. He is passionate about what a shot of espresso is, and has a special recipe for liquor to add. If you do nothing else in downtown Seattle, go get a two-for-one and have *amazing* coffee and a delicious drink. read more

We have been coming to the diller room for years now and we love the place. One of our favorite bars in the city. Not pretentious at all and the drinks are great! I love the neon too. I recently lost my wallet and I thought I may have left it there. I went the next day and the owner Rob went out of his way to check the cameras to see if it was swiped. He was very helpful and kind. Long story short it wasn't lost there but he was very concerned about it and I appreciated that. 100% recommended. read more

Tried to call in an order to go 3 times and no one answered the phone. Went to the bar and had to wait 15mins outside to get in (no one left in the time I was waiting so I don't know why I was waiting). Ordered 2 pizzas to go, one pepperoni and one margarita. Both seemed under cooked really greasy/oily. Slices weren't cut all the way so I had to re-cut them. Couldn't get the slices out of the boxes without a spatula cause they just flopped and all the toppings just slid off. read more

Didn't even get to experience. I walked in with my coffee (as I was finishing it) ready to get a cocktail and the host came up to me, looked me up and down without eye contact and says, "uhh we don't allow outside drinks". He proceeds to roll his eyes and move onto the next couple without taking care of us. I walked right on out after his attitude. Nice spot to grab and drink in downtown. Near the SAM, this bar has good food and drinks. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. I stopped by for a quick drink and snack as I was out and about. Definitely will stop back by and is a great place in the neighborhood. read more

Cool little bar we stopped at before dinner. They actually serve food here, but we just had drinks here. There is an Lon bar that takes up most of the front room and a few tables on the floor. This place has pretty good light coming in from all of the windows for a downtown bar. Its not a dirty bar, but it showed its age (which may or may not be part of the charm) Its within walking distance from Pike's place Market and they served pretty decent drinks. The services was moderately attentive, but we all had a pretty good time conversing over drinks here. read more

Great bartender and great drinks. We came here for a nightcap after exploring the city and the Diller Room is just what we needed. I ordered the Dillerlicious and it was great. Cucumbers, blueberries, vodka. Can't really go wrong with a simple, yet refreshing cocktail. You are able to sit inside where the music is playing, but my friend and I opted to sit outside so we could people watch. With the bar windows open, you are able to hear the music as well. read more

OMG! This place was such a vibe. I frequently visit Seattle to see family and friends and I've never been here before. I came the other day and the bartender (sean) was so funny cool and just got it! He recommended some drink I think it was called the bardstown breeze (?) which was an amazing cocktail but the star of the show was Sean foreal, he made the experience with my friends and I so much fun and I will be returning just becuz of him!! Lovely bar in a historic building! My colleagues and I came here for a happy hour celebration, so we reserved the back room, where the restaurant provided reserve signs on the tables. Since we came during happy hour, most of the front of the bar was already packed and there were some parties outside on the dog-friendly patio. I'd recommend making reservations for a group, as the place is on the smaller side and is narrow. I chose a cocktail made with cold brew, coconut, coffee liquor, and Kahlua. It was very good, with a strong coffee flavor yet creamy from the coconut and cordial boozes. I really enjoyed it. But if coffee cocktails aren't your thang - they have a long list of specialty cocktails, with your spirit of choice. I'd definitely recommend coming here for drinks - but not for food. We ordered some bites, including pizza and nachos on happy hour and thought they were just average. But what I love about The Diller Room is the place itself! Located in an old, historic building from the late 1800's during the gold rush days, The Diller Room has taken over the old hotel for where its namesake comes from, The Diller Hotel. The bar has kept the vintage feel to the place with the exposed brick, dark and worn wood furnishings and even the glassware and signage. It's also very obvious that where the bar is now is what used to be the lobby of The Diller Hotel, just adding to its charm and all. Glad to have visited The Diller Room for a good cocktail in a Seattle landmark. read more

After checking good reviews, our group of 6 walked in to have a few drinks. The only bartender in the place, said loudly, "I'm only doing one tab for you guys, or you don't get served! " My wife and I were playing for our own drinks, and didn't want to face the hassle of paying back friends or paying for everyone. The are plenty of good bars in the area. I would never waste my time here again. read more

The prices are on the higher end, but personally I think they're totally worth it for the creativity and overall experience. Rather than simply explaining the reservation policy herself, she went to get the manager instead. She had a problem with Hispanics. She refused to engaged at all. The way I was treated left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as someone who was genuinely excited to visit. A beautiful venue can only go so far when the hospitality doesn't match. I would have happily accepted that reservations were required if I had simply been treated with basic kindness and respect from the start. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the location itself is stunning, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, because of my interaction with the bartender I've added in the photos, I don't see myself returning. Sadly they have a Prejudice bartender.

I told him I'm a big fan of an Old Fashioned, and he suggested an Eagle Rare Old Fashioned. It was, without question, one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had at any establishment. The balance of flavors was outstanding, and the attention to detail was obvious from the first sip. I was so impressed by both the drink and the overall experience that I asked him how he made it and what ingredients he used so I could try to recreate it at home. While I'm probably only 90% of the way there, I'll never quite match the perfection he achieved that evening. The atmosphere, service, and cocktails were all exceptional. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. Awesome drinks + Great food + Excellent service = Happy Me! I had been here before but not since they redecorated. The feel in the front room is so warm and fun. The lighting was PERFECT. It has an old world look and feel, alot like bars you find in New York. Rob the bartender (who turned out to be the owner!)recomended we try one of his fresh juice cocktails. It was what can only be described as the best cocktail I have ever had.It was called a "summer sunset". Fresh grapefruit juice and rasberry vodka shaken and served with a chambord float.My friend decided to have a glass of Barbera. It was excellent quality, as good as he ones I've tasted in Italy and a generous pour for only 8 bucks! I stopped in on my way out to meet a Friend had been in before but never at night. What a cool place! The atmosphere was fantastic. It was as if walked into a big party. I intended on having a beer but decided on one of the house cocktails(after all the sign above the door read "Cocktails") I chose the Diller'licious and it was REFRESHING! The fresh Blueberries and lemon really made it . I ended up calling my friend and asking him to meet me there instead! I tried the pizza and it was excellent quality. The Diller Room is a charming downtown speakeasy-style bar with a warm, early-1900s vibe. I visited in late October 2025 and tried the Flamingo Punch - an impressively well-balanced cocktail that didn't lean too sweet or too bitter. It's a bit on the pricier side, but definitely enjoyable. The space is dark, cozy, and wrapped in rich wood tones, creating an inviting atmosphere. The cocktail menu is especially thoughtful, featuring great illustrations and clear descriptions that make choosing a drink easy, even if you're feeling overwhelmed by the options. Overall, a great experience. I'd happily go back. One downside - parking is abysmal. Limited street parking or private lots. read more

Matthew, is incredible. For being such a humble guy he really makes a phenomenol cocktail. He is the king of craft cocktails. Understated, smart, engaging and not terrible to look at either;) Robbie is so well versed in tequila and mezcal and I am always impressed with his indefinite knowledge. I go to school everytime he's behind the bar. Justin is the tiki tourmanator. He makes me feel like I'm on an island when I come in! So professional, not pushy, just sincerely has a passion for what he does. All of the bartenders do! I suppose it's a true cheers bar. I'm so lucky that I have a place like this to go to in Seattle. read more

After an initial misunderstanding during our visit, I'm happy to say that the owner of The Diller Room reached out to me personally and handled the situation with exceptional professionalism and care. Rob took the time to listen, address the concerns with his team, and ensure the matter was resolved in a constructive and respectful way. It's clear that The Diller Room values integrity, customer service, and creating a welcoming environment. I truly appreciate Rob's responsiveness and dedication. I look forward to visiting The Diller Room again the next time I'm in Seattle! read more

This was my third night going to the Diller Room. Eric is my bartender and wasn't working when I got off. The tatted up clown whom calls himself a bartender is rude doesn't know how to make cocktails. The guy in front of me was first and he wouldn't serve him and when I said down I ordered Martinez with mezcal. The clownish tatted dumbass said he wasn't making that drink and I looked back and the guy trying to order before me as said are we hearing the same stuff he said yea we are. A few friends and I went here for happy hour one afternoon. Between all of us, we made it through a good portion of the house cocktails - all fantastic. The pizza was also great, crispy,thin crust with the perfect amount of toppings and well worth the five dollars during happy hour. The place has the look and feel of a classic cocktail lounge- speakeasy and the atmosphere was nice and lively. It was quite busy but we were able to snatch seats at the bar. The bartender was super fast and the service was personal and friendly. read more

You may approach this bar not quite sure what to think of it. You may even dodge its dark exterior. Actually please do because then I can find a seat at the bar. Diller Room has the unique aspect of having something for everyone. There is pizza and beer. But if Justin is working you can and should take full advantage of his skills behind the bar. For someone like me that doesn't enjoy pizza and beer its market cheeses and flaming tiki drinks. Its got some hidden gems on that menu and a stellar staff. read more

I hate to have to write this. Today while enjoying a quick one I had the most unfortunate interaction with a racist bartender. While answering a question about the protest that was going on up the street I informed him or a genocide taking place in Africa to which he responded "Pfffft get some real problems" I had to bite my tongue and just leave this establishment. I can't imagine someone so clueless hateful serving in my city. White guy with neck tattoos and a fucking sad world view. read more

I just left The Diller after not being even ask to order. I sit at the bar for 10 minutes as the bartender talked whom I can only assume is his friends. He observed me at the bar and looked my way four or five times, but didn't bother to ask me what I wanted. Also, I realize this bar is in the downtown, but the security at the door could at least ask for my ID instead of the silent stare. There are a lot better bars around than this one. read more

Friendly bartender, nice atmosphere. The Pineapple Express special cocktail was great. I also tried the island sliders and margherita pizza, both were excellent. The service was great (seated at bar). I will be back. read more

Here on business with some colleagues and the tall bartender with all the tattoos was less then friendly or accommodating and seemed more annoyed that we were there in the first place! read more
