Up here for work and saw this place near where I was working and wanted something healthier than Dairy Queen or Taco Hell, I was wary of paying $9 for a sandwich but holy heck was it good! It was simple tasty and hearty! Loved it! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area !! read more

I love this place! Unusual and delicious salad bar ingredients abound: sundried tomatoes, feta, artichoke hearts, real bacon pieces, jalapenos, banana peppers, grilled chicken, kalamata olives, etc etc! The sandwiches are really tasty, fresh, and unique. My favorite is the Tom on jalapeno bread. Sooo yummy! They also have vinegarettes for the salads, a different pasta-type salad every time I've been in there (potato salad, chicken curry salad, etc), awesome soup, and a nice soda + chips combo for $1.75. And don't ever pass on one of the red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting...out of this world! read more

Went here and got the ham surprise I believe that was what it was called and a salad. Their salad bar is awesome. The salad goes by weight however their so many options it's hard not to pile it on. The lettuce and toppings were fresh. They had different types of lettuce including kale and different dressings and meats. The staff here is always so friendly, they remember who you are and appreciate where they work. As far as the food, I enjoy the salad bar a lot. I LOVE this place. The food is fresh, homemade and so delicious. Service is friendly and helpful. A few weeks ago in a pinch I called to see if they could have sandwiches ready with just a few hours notice for an event I was putting on. I had forgotten to call Costco and get their catering platter like I usually do, and Costco told me no, they couldn't do it for me and that it had to be at least 24 hours in advance. Dilly Deli told me YES and got it done on time and everyone loved the array of sandwiches and wraps that they prepared for my event. She even threw some vegetarian sandwiches and wraps in there. So yum. I recommend everyone go to Dilly Deli and grab lunch! And of course use them for catering. read more

I am from out of town and a buddy and I were looking to grab a quick bite before hitting an important meeting in an hour, so with little time we searched Yelp and settled on Dilly Deli. What we came upon after reviewing their menu was WOW. What sandwich to pick, they all sounded so darn good. I selected the Meat Jagger and was not disappointed. Awesomely fresh ingredients throughout and the whole wheat bread was excellent. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an excellent bite for lunch. NOPE, NO and NO First off, I was glared at by the manager on my way inside the deli. I determined that she was the manager because she walked behind the counter to assist an employee on the register. Second, the line situation is confusing. There is a salad bar to the right with the sandwich order station straight ahead...but it is confusing as to where one forms a line. It was busy in there but no sense of urgency from the employees. Only one register open. None of the employees greeted anyone with friendliness, or "hi, welcome!" or started to take orders running down the line. The general vibe was that of yuppie Seattle, not warm and inviting as a place to enjoy a sandwich. Third of all the prices are ridiculous! $9.00 for a HALF sandwich? You're kidding, right? I can go to the San Francisco Sourdough Bakery and get a FULL sandwich for that same price, which is exactly what I did for faster and friendlier service. Screw this place. I'm never stepping foot inside of it again. Also, what kind of cafe doesn't have a bathroom? Never again! read more

Have to agree that the jalapeno cheese bread is amazing. I popped in on a Fri at lunchtime so it was quite crowded, but I got my order quickly and snagged a seat at the counter by the window. My sandwich was large and I could only finish half of it, but the highlight was definitely the jalapeno cheese bread! read more

First time visiting the deli and was very pleased. Great prices and sandwich options. I grabbed half a turkey bacon avocado sandwich but their very extensive salad bar options were tempting. We visited around lunch time and they were keeping pace with the crowd well. Not a long wait for our food at all. Being relatively new to Wenatchee (and relatively well traveled otherwise) I found The Dilly Deli to be 4, and not 5, stars. Why 4, I suppose you're asking? It's simple... 1 star for the food. This is a lunch spot, a great place for some tasty sandwiches, homemade soups and probably the best salad bar in the entire valley. I've looked, and looked.. and looked. The owner, Kelsey Mehelich, does everything possible to add quality to the salad bar itself. Carter, the resident Roast Master, creates the incredible flavors for the meats, a mouthwatering vision if you've ever walked in there while they were roasting; making the homemade soup fresh every day doesn't hurt either. And at an average 6 bucks a sandwich, I'll take a full half pound of meat on The Jeffrey or the flavor of the BBlta (Bacon, Basil, Romaine Lettuce, Tomato, Sun-dried Tomato, and Avocado.. YUM) over a national chain sandwich (for the same price, mind you.. when is the last time you walked into Subway and walked out without spending 8 -10 bucks on a meal?). 1 star for the service. Yes, The Dilly Deli is new, and yes, they're small. But the ladies at the counter, Kelsey (the owner) and Chelsea, are always pleasant, always on their game, and always looking to make the experience as perfect as possible. Keep in mind, those two ladies exist during the day to get your food to you as fast as possible, and as fresh as possible. And the floor tiles keep your head spinning; the offset orange and purple is vividly eccentric, and the almost-superhero theme they have going on has definite promise. 1 star for the atmosphere. Again, Kelsey and Chelsea do what they can (especially in the midst of a 100 sandwich hour); the eclectic mix of country, rock, blues, and modern themed music coming from the kitchen helps ease you through the (rare) 10 to 15 minute wait; it's a popular place in it's infancy. You probably won't ever see any TV's in there; Kelsey tells me every place in town has a TV (I'm not inclined to argue) and she's very much trying to keep her spot unique and memorable. And the lack of a TV is rather refreshing. 1 star for location. This place is located in a gem of an area, next to the liquor store and on the way to the park. It's right on the edge of the center of town, 2 seconds from the river and on your way out of town in case you're looking to stop, pick up a tasty treat and go hiking, biking, or camping in this beautiful valley we have. 1 star for the vision. Kelsey tells me she plans on having a full service meat and cheese deli, with roasted meats and cheeses available by the ounce or pound. In fact she let me taste test a cheese called the Red Dragon, a stone ground mustard infused sharp cheddar that set my taste buds dancing with the hearty flavor of a good mustard and a great cheese. Kelsey also tells me she plans on expanding her menu in the near future, and is always game for suggestions from her customers. The Dilly Deli is a refreshing change from the national chain sandwich shops; being a lunch spread, don't expect to walk in there at 6 a.m. for a breakfast burrito. But the flavors that Kelsey, Carter, Chelsea, and fellow sandwich artisan Keefer infuse into their work is far above standard. The soups might not be identical from day to day, and the sandwiches are always being improved upon (as much as can be said about almost perfect sandwiches as is), but the flavor never ceases to amaze me each and every time I go in there. So why only 4 stars if I have 5 categories listed? That fifth 'official' star is reserved for the deli case, when the fresh roasted meat and cheeses start getting sold by the pound. And the tables... let's just say, as a start up business, The Dilly Deli saved money in the right place. Who goes to a sandwich shop to loiter anyways? Love this place! They have a great salad bar that charges by the pound. The sandwiches are full of meat and goodies. They never skimp! My husband goes in there quite often to where they know him and say hi to him by name, and fixing him his "regular". You need to go here and enjoy the awesome people, food, and atmosphere read more

Hands-down, this is one of the top three restaurants in town even being so simple. The sandwiches are amazing and the salad bar is phenomenal. The selection on the salad bar and the quality of the ingredients are the best I've ever seen on a salad bar here in the valley or out of town.
