Merchant fees are a set percentage of a transaction. They do not increase with inflation. I run a business and I do not upcharge my clients on credit card fees. Also, 4% is outrageous. They do not pay that much to Clover. Merchant fees vary from around 2% to a maximum of 3.3%-3.5% on certain Amex transactions. Guess what? This is the cost of doing business. No other places in America practice this surcharge. If you cannot pay merchant fees don't open a restaurant. I went there only once. Will not return due to this abusive practice. Let me set the bar for you. We are religious about KeKe's Breakfasts here in Orlando so to try a new place was totally out on a limb for us. Drove 30 minutes to this location, away from DW chaos and arrive to see the parking lot very empty on a Monday morning. Very nice residential area location- we were skeptical of how the food would be. Greeted and seated by friendly staff; few customers eating and talking. Very clean area as well. My friend and I came here for breakfast the other day. Kristie was our server and wow was she amazing! She did such a good job at recommending menu choices that would suit our personal preference. She also had a wonderful personality that was friendly, helpful, enthusiastic about us being there and the food we were ordering. The place is really fast at serving you, seating you, good at accommodating any special diet needs, and giving you time to enjoy your food and friends without being too interruptive. The grits were piping hot and seasoned well, they didn't need salt or butter and cheese would have been gilding the lily. Hubs had a traditional bacon, eggs over easy, toast, potatoes, grits and a side of the biscuits with gravy. I tried his grits and gravy. The gravy was also seasoned well. I had a shortstack of pancakes which were perfect not too big, not too small, the goldilocks portion. These were great pancakes I could have easily just enjoyed them with the whipped cream, but butter and syrup perfected them. I also had a side of potatoes which were really well seasoned and I would get again. To start off the service was absolutely amazing I had the absolutely wonderful waitress Kristie, her service was the best i've had anywhere. Something to know about me is i'm medically disabled with an invisible illness, with that i have a medical alert service that accompanies me everywhere. When I went to this restaurant Kristie was the one who greeted us with one of her coworkers. She went out of her way to explain to her coworkers that it was a service animal. She also made sure I was comfortable and my service animal didn't need any water and her service animal educate was absolutely amazing the best i've ever seen from a server. She had an answer for every question. She made me feel so comfortable and safe in the environment. She absolutely made my day! After a very long wait, the server sauntered by without a word, greeted another table and told them she would be back to take their order, and then returned to us, asking for our drink order. We told her we were only having waters and would like to place our food order now. She refused, saying "I'll get your waters." However, instead of getting our waters, she returned to the other table, took their orders, then leaned against the banquette and chit chatted with the other table until we left the restaurant. We were there at 10:30 a.m. on 6/11/25, in case management has any interest in following up with the server and seeing who was failing to supervise her adequately. We attempted to go to the Universal location but they had a really long wait so we figured we would drive the 15 minutes and see if this location was any better. We only waited 5 minutes for a table. Due to Covid- they are seating every other table and all staff and customers wear masks (obviously mask can be off at your table). We got the bennyffles which are eggs Benedict on waffles with ham and bacon. It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. They came with red bliss potato home fries which were really good as well. We also got the Oreo pancakes. These were good however they were a little too sweet/heavy. The hubby and I always split our breakfast meals so we can dry a sweet and savory dish so I only had half of these. Even having half- it was too much to finish. The pancakes were also on the dry side (probably due to the Oreos) so they needed lots of syrup which didn't help with the sweetness.
