At this diner, it was less about the food and more about the company. We had a pretty impressive lineup of Yelpers: Ronnald M., Te See B., Dawne F. and her boyfriend Todd A., Ariel W. and KIMBERLEY K! Definitely a fun group and honestly, the perfect place to get everyone together. Now, I'm going to be honest. I don't think the food was really up to par. Nothing was terrible, but nothing had me thinking, "Wow, I need to come back here for this." The mimosas, however, were doing their job quite nicely. Then again, once you've had enough mimosas, does the food really matter that much? At that point, it's all about the conversation, the laughs and the people you're sitting around the table with. And on that front, this brunch delivered.
This local favorite serves up delicious comfort food with a hint of nostalgia in a charming and inviting atmosphere. The menu is a masterclass in classic American cuisine, with mouth-watering dishes like juicy burgers, fluffy waffles, crispy fried chicken, creamy mac and cheese and more. I started off Brunch as any good one should...BOOZY. I sipped on the Passionfruit Guava Mimosa, while catching up with the crew. I ordered the Eggs Benny and upgraded by adding the Lox-perfectly poached eggs, smoked salmon, creamy house Hollandaise sauce all over a toasted English Muffin. Heather, our server, was warm and friendly. Portions are generous. And the decor is cozy. Thank you Te-see B., Ariel W., Ronnald M., and Kimberley K., for a fabulous afternoon.
I ordered a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream- a must for me at any diner. The hot chocolate was classic and they were generous with the whipped cream. I ordered a BLT with cheese, they forgot the cheese on the BLT, but added extra cheese to the macaroni and cheese. It was loud in there, so I didn't care too much about the mix up. There was also this absolutely delicious sauce on the sandwich, maybe a garlic aioli?? I'm not sure, but it was great! The BLT was huge and the bacon was not too crispy, not too soft- just right. The macaroni and cheese side was extra cheesy and very yummy. My friends asked for water, and they only brought out 2; we were a party of 5. We asked for water for the rest of us; later during the meal they asked if the water was good- which was a little weird. The food was good over all.
This is a pretty new cafe. The food was great and the service was very attentive. It is very clean and inviting. I ordered their chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy. I had my gravy on the side so that I could control the amount I ate. Plus, I wanted to be able to taste the chicken and not just gravy. The chicken was very crispy, but very juicy and flavorful. The biscuit was fluffy and good. They put a piece of chicken on a half of a biscuit so you don't get a full biscuit with your chicken. You do get 4 good pieces of chicken though.
You know the place is good when you have to wait 30 min to an hour to be seated. I took my husband out for brunch the day before Father's Day and the restaurant was packed but so worthy! He loved it so much that is our brunch spot now!
Incredible brunch at @ The Diner visiting a friend. The standard waits are 45-60 minutes and the place is packed but you get a link to see how long you have been waiting, how long the people ahead of you have each been waiting and you can watch the progress. It was SO worth it and we loved everything. The hollandaise was amazing. The service was super friendly, there are SO many options and we even grabbed an extra red velvet waffle to go.
Heading back from a cruise, we wanted a breakfast for the road, and discovered this diner. On a Saturday at 9, it was packed! I love diners and the menu and the style were perfect. Our server was adorable and helpful. She quickly brought our drinks and took our order. We didn't wait long at all for our order. The menu is extensive, with pancakes being their specialty. Not being a sweet breakfast person, I settled on a bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. I got to choose how my egg was cooked so I did over easy. There were red potatoes served on the side. Everything looked great, but I had thought the bagel would be toasted, so that was a little disappointing. The sandwich was good, but toasting would have made it excellent. Overall,service was excellent, nice menu and good food.

First of all, there is nothing better than breakfast food. Second, there is nothing better than designing your OWN breakfast combo. We went months ago and still think about it. The staff was helpful, the service was quick, and the Diner is a return-to destination!
Visited @ The Diner for a quick Orlando trip and I had an incredibly pleasant experience. The service and food were both equally impressive. I ordered the Papa's Burrito w/ egg, cheese, and avocado. I asked for extra fluffy scrambled eggs and they delivered perfection as the eggs were light and moist. This dish also comes with a side of potatoes. Additionally, my friend and I split a singular Boston Cream pancake and it was heavenly layered with vanilla custard, Nutella, whipped cream, and powdered sugar; perfect if you have a sweet tooth and/or are craving something good! I also got an iced vanilla latte on the side that really hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're in Orlando, esp loading up before going to Disney.
Atmosphere - The restaurant is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. There are not many breakfast choices in that area, so it was very busy with quite a few people waiting for a table. As a result, the tables are very close together and the place is very noisy. Service - Despite how busy it was the service was great. Food - I ordered a combo of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and a pancake. Everything was served hot and was very good. Value - my wife ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Our total bill (including coffee) was around $40 (including a 20% gratuity), which I consider high for such basic meals. Thus, a 4 star rating, not 5
This breakfast restaurant is one of the best breakfast restaurants around. The food, atmosphere, and service is amazing!. In regards to the food, we got the bennyffle, cinnamon swirl pancake, macadamia nut pancake, and the butter beer latte. The food was fantastic! The service and atmosphere was wonderful. This just added to the experience. next line, I would definitely come here again when I visit Orlando.
Very busy when entering but wonderful atmosphere. Nice snap on the smoked breakfast sausage, eggs were fluffy, and house potatoes were soft and flavorful. Highly recommend trying.

Food was fantastic. Pancakes were one of the best I've had. Egg quality was very good. The hot sauce provided had good flavor but not spicy. Server Maria was a joy and very attentive! The place is very clean. Did not have sufficient bathrooms in my opinion. The only knock was a service charge of 22% added to our bill because we were 5 adults and 1 3 year old. Then they said to leave a tip. Why would you say service charge of 22% and then ask for a 20% tip? Not a fan of this! Meal was already $130 for 4 adults and 1 child. read more

The Diner is a nice, above average breakfast/lunch restaurant. The service was fast and friendly (although I did sit at the bar). I had a basic coffee which was bold but average. The atmosphere is typical contemporary style from a breakfast cafe. There is a lot of seating, but this place gets crowded in the morning. So, I suggest getting there early or plan on waiting a bit. I had a special (that I can't quite remember). It was good, but again, not remarkable. I do recall the potatoes were just warm, but it might be that they were a little backed up and my plate may have sat on the counter a little too long. There are a lot of great reviews for this place, so I my expectations were high and guess I was a bit underwhelmed. YMMV. read more

Wowwww was I impressed! This diner was amazing!! My caramel latte was DELICIOUS. I love when I don't have to add anything to my coffee. The potatoes were so tasty, definitely well seasoned. if you are true coffee drinker, do not get the coffee here because you cannot taste the coffee taste like syrup. The food took about 20 minutes to come out and they're not even that busy. the food was cold. The service is horrible. The pancakes came out and the strawberries syrup never made it to the table waitress is very impatient look discombobulated, and confuse like she didn't know how to serve a table. I will not be back. We visited @ The Diner on Black Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday. We were in town to visit family. We found this restaurant on Yelp and were pleased by the reviews. Of course due to the holiday, there was a wait upon arrival. We had 20 min which wasn't too bad. They have an app that they use for the waitlist so we couldn't sit in our car to watch our place in line. This was very convenient. Upon entering the restaurant, it was very clean and organized. The tables are a little bit close together, but far enough apart for you to have space to move. The staff was super friendly and attentive. One of the things I miss about living in the south is the great southern cooked food. We ordered the omelette breakfast and the build your own breakfast meal. We had the ability to enjoy smoked sausage, grits with cheese, a well-made, omelette, biscuits, and more. We washed it all down with fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh brewed coffee. Generally always full when we go but they somehow always to manage to get us sat pretty soon which is good! A bit generic in interior design but willing to not stress about that too much because the food is good and some plates are rather extravagant! Decided to give it a try after seeing the reviews and it did not disappoint! Wait time was not as bad for a holiday weekday morning. We had great service from beginning to end. I love the large selection of breakfast items and we enjoyed mimosas and lattes. The food was served nice and hot and large portions which was wonderful for the price. We are planning to come back to try the French toast variety because it seemed to be a hit with other tables . I recommend this location for sure ! read more

Our food was really good. The wait was extremely too long. We waited 75 min for our table. Any other time we would leave but once we arrived the host stated that they were preparing our table, just to finally sit 65 min later. Our server was a little off putting. We wanted cranberry bottomless mimosas, but he stated that he would make us something better. Every time we would request a specific flavor he would make up his own and it would be so nasty. Our favorite dish is the Chicken & Waffles with bacon on top! Definitely a big plate can feed 1-2 people. The food was pretty good, and they have some interesting sweet pancakes. We ended up there for brunch and it was a packed house. Our wait wasn't too bad though. Initially our server was great. You can tell he was tired with the crowd but he was very attentive. I tried the chicken, bacon, ranch wrap with home fries. I was looking for the drizzle on top (like the picture), and thought it was going to be dry without it. But it was actually very good and stuffed. The potatoes were pretty good as well. My kid got the Oreo pancakes and it was...a lot. If you want super sweet and chocolate on cookies, enjoy. Under all that the actual pancake was a little dry. The Waffle Taco at The Diner is exactly what it sounds like - a crispy waffle folded around scrambled eggs, bacon, and maple syrup. Messy? Absolutely. Delicious? Surprisingly yes. Okay now let's talk food...portion size legit! You will likely have leftovers! Food flavorful, you'll enjoy every bite. The #1 ranking for brunch in Orlando is disputable but this just may be right. Yummy!!!! Worth the stop. Endless offerings on the menu. Problem is where to start?? I ended getting the create your own. Such a variety of perfectly seasoned food. With the Nutella and strawberry banana waffle.. chefs kiss. Just absolutely delicious. My friend got the Ruben Cuban sandwich and I will say the portions were huge! We came in with a group of 6 after an early morning 5K at Sea World! It's about a 10 minute drive from the park. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The decor is minimalist and there is a big open space for tables with a bar area and two single restrooms. After being seated it took a few minutes for a server to get our order so we ordered drinks and food at the same time. Everything came out quickly. My iced mocha was good, very sweet as they add extra chocolate. My passion fruit guava mimosa was good! It was filled to the brim which I appreciate and the single serving was $8. I got an Eggs Benedict (Eggs Benny) with breakfast potatoes. The serving was a little smaller than I expected but the eggs were poached to perfection! Place was very packed. Which is a good sign. It shows how good this place is, even with the amount of space that this place has for dining. Service was pretty good. My server, Gus was great. Even though the place was busy and they were rushing to get orders left and right, he was able to accommodate to my needs and check up on me time to time. Food did take a while to be served, but I get it honestly. It was super busy. Chicken and waffles were pretty good the first few bites. Later on though, the chicken did start tasting a little bland and dry. Nothing a little syrup can fix for the dryness though. Stopped in here for lunch with my family on Friday afternoon and they were busy, we had about a 30/35 minute wait for a table. Our server Peyton was great and she was super attentive. Breakfast for lunch is always a good idea, I ordered the Oreo pancakes which were delicious. I definitely recommend stopping here if you love pancakes. read more
I had a great first experience here, but this time the service was not so great. The waitress made it seem like a hassle when she forgot to bring out a condiment I initially asked for when ordering. My turkey club didn't have bacon but she was nicer when she had to go get that. I'm always polite, by saying please and thank you when dining out, no matter the service. My please and thank you's were met with nothing but her walking away. We drove an extra 45 minutes here from our original destination. I will never do that again. In Florida, one would expect to be able to find decent Huevos Rancheros. And one would be highly mistaken if they tried to order it at this place. What came was a mountain of potatoes, fried eggs on top and a whole lot of avocado. Not one tortilla! The Southwest omelette had no sauce and was overcooked and dry. I don't like potatoes. Never have, but I get Huevos Rancheros anytime I can find them on the menu. I was so disappointed when this came that I wanted to send it back. The owner came over and was obviously not happy, and told me that was their version. Instead of being nice about it (she was very obviously annoyed), they did replace my meal with a Veggie omelette, which was barely edible. it was obviously thrown together quickly with very little in it. This is not a place I would ever go back to again, both for food, service and attitude. Very disappointed, because there are many breakfast places we like in Orlando. Pity we wasted our time and money in this one. UPDATE: Owner responded to this review with a sarcastic response. If you call something well-known everywhere by a certain name, you should be prepared to deliver that. I just went online and looked at a dozen recipes for Huevos Rancheros. Not one did not have tortillas in the recipe or black beans. I didn't pay attention to whether they had potatoes or not, but none would have a mountain of them. This dish in no way, shape or form resembles Huevos Rancheros, only that they made something and decided to give it that name. I've had them everywhere. The sarcastic answer here doesn't endear the manager to anyone and reflects poorly on how they treat customers. As I said, lots of good places to eat in Orlando, where service and food are good, however this is not one of them. read more

You claim vegan options but what options are available for breakfast?
Not much. Avocado's, Fruit, Grits, Toast, Tomatoes. My sisters a vegan, but does eat eggs every so often, and would just eat eggs with avocados and eggs with fruit.
Are bottomless mimosas offered everyday of the week/end (Saturday's)?
I really do not know because I was visiting in Orlando. Call the restaurant to find out.
Do they have breakfast all day on weekends?
Yes. You can order breakfast foods even during lunch time. They are open til 3 I believe 😊
Are the mimosas bottomless?
They had bottomless when I was there 4 months ago ~ $20 & you could choose orange or cranberry. You might want to call to double check that it's still offered if it's a must-have.
What are the vegan options? Im looking through the menu and i dont see any :(
