NGL this place caught me by surprise. Not a big space but its clean and has a beautiful view to the parking lot anywhere you sit at. The service was 10/10 staff were polite and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap with fries, but it didn't quite deliver. The wrap fell apart quickly, and the flavor was more on the average side than memorable. From what I've heard, this spot really shines at breakfast--so that's likely the better choice. The service, though, was excellent. Friendly, attentive staff made the experience much better, and that kind of hospitality deserves recognition. The space itself is cozy and exactly what you'd expect from a diner--small, bustling, and filled with regulars who clearly know the best things to order. This place is so good!! The furniture is just a bit outdated and the seats were cracked, but I knew the food was going to be delicious. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was outstanding! We were helped by Nicki I believe that was her name (she said she also goes by the nickname mickey mouse) I was traveling from California, but decided to stop here before I went back home. Great location, and you could tell it was popular because we had to wait about 15 minutes for a party of two. It was full and busy, but not too bad as we approached the end of the brunch rush. I ordered an apple juice and the Waffle Tacos with chicken carnitas. It also included house-seasoned potatoes, garlic cilantro sauce, pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, and scrambled eggs. Although the waffle was a little crispy on the ends, the combination of the components, along with the sauce, worked well together. The potatoes were flavorful and having a little slice of pineapple was a sweet add-on. Overall, I was satisfied with the food, service, and location. The staff were friendly and attentive. The guacamole did a great job of showcasing the jalapeño flavor without giving too much kick and was spread generously under juicy tomatoes with fresh avocado layered on top. OMG!!! absolutely delicious food! Family restaurant, family recipes, family, motivated staff. May was incredible and made us feel like we had been eating there for years. We are from California and when we travel, we love to experience local food. I had the mac & cheese with chicken, hot honey and jalapeños.... Yum my wife's breakfast potatoes were so good. It seems to get pretty packed, there are benches outside that were occupied by big parties, there is a bar though if it's just you and maybe one other person, we didn't have a long wait time for that. We arrived to the Diner on a Sunday aroud 11 AM. It was PACKED & the host took our information and advised that there would be a wait of about forty minutes. He also mentioned that they would send a text and we would have five minutes to return to the host stand to claim the table. Because we did not want to stand for 40 minutes, we opted to kill time by going to the Publix and sit in the outdoor plaza chairs. After waiting for 40 minutes to eat breakfast we received the text, but our table was given away because the host said we did not return to the stand in a timely manner. It was not until I showed him that the text alerting us that the table was ready did not come through more than 5 minutes before we arrived (after waiting in the line again to get to the host stand BTW), that he worked quickly to find us a spot to sit. This was annoying because we saw at least 4 empty tables available to accommodate our party of three. Once seated, we were not in the mood for breakfast anymore because it was noon. The waitress was friendly and made good recommendations. There were not a lot of lunch options, but they had some convincing simple ones that worked for what we had a taste for at that point. We decided to order gyros and my son wanted a hamburger. My son loved his burger and it was a great size (big). My gyro was delicious although I wished that they would have chopped the lettuce down into skinnier spirals rather than the larger wedges of iceberg. The fries were fresh and cut into thin wedge-like shapes with just enough crisp and a balance of softness. I decided to order the chicken and waffles to go for the next morning (don't recommend doing that because it tastes better fresh and the waffles were a bit dry the next day, the chicken lacked salt) Overall, the lunch food was good and our server was friendly, but the seating issue with the wait time affected our experience. I recently had to travel to Orlando for a wedding and my hotel didn't offer breakfast so I took a drive to visit The Diner (where else would a guy from Jersey want to eat?). I sat at the counter (the place wasn't full, but I didn't want to take a table) and Maye (I think that was her name) greeted me and brought me some coffee (badly needed) while I looked over the menu. I ordered a Ham and Swiss omelet, subbed in grits for the potatoes, and rye toast. The food came out fairly fast and was delicious. I rarely find grits at home so whenever I cross the Mason Dixon Line and I see them on the menu...I'm ordering (four years in the Army back in my younger days taught me to LOVE grits). It was a simple, but delicious breakfast and I didn't have to pay Disney prices ). The service here was excellent...and friendly, the place was very clean and bright and there was plenty of parking (it's in a strip mall). . The only 'ding' was the cell service in this area was terrible...which is fine if you have someone to talk to, but I was alone and just wanted to scroll a bit. I definitely recommend. read more

OMG this place was A GREAT FIND. This spot is located in a shopping mall (with a Publix, my favorite). Unfortunately they are constructing in the parking lot but there are plenty of parking spaces. When you walk inside it does look like a typical diner. It is very spacious and I was lucky enough to be seated right away when I got there. First off the service was a 10. My server was super sweet attentive quick and helpful. She helped me pick things out in the menu. When I looked around and saw all the dishes my mouth was watering. My oldest child had the avocado toast which looked outstanding! He ate it quickly and said it was amazing. I shared the chicken and waffles with my other kids and let me tell you I STILL had left over. It was large and so tasty. I also ended up having a mimosa, which when i come back I would like to try their other mimosa flavors. Great breakfast spot to hit up in Orlando. I know the same ones get busy all the time. I love my coffee strong which is usually a problem at other breakfast spots I have patronized. I visited based on a recommendation from a fellow Yelper! Went in on a Saturday morning, there was a 35 minute wait time for 2 people and they do not do reservations. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes. Sat down and waited about 10 minutes before our server came over to greet us and take out drink orders. You could tell they were very busy! The ambiance of the restaurant feels and looks just like a beachside diner. They do offer mimosas which was nice. I ordered the chicken and waffles with turkey bacon and cheese grits. Although they were busy, the food came out within 20 minutes of ordering, hot and delish! I found this place on Instagram, and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out before our Universal Studios visit. We got seated relatively quickly since it wasn't too busy when we got there. They have a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. I decided to have their caramel latte and to eat I went with their street waffle taco. I thought the concept was a cool idea. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla latte and the rib-eye steak with eggs. The coffee was pretty good. We failed to ask if they had alternative milk, but the vanilla latte was good, not too sweet. The caramel latte was overly sweet imo. The food was decent. The waffle was kind of dry, but the carnitas were full of flavor. The potatoes were overly salted. My bf liked his steak and eggs, but also agreed the potatoes were not his favorite. Our server was wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but she was very nice and constantly got us water. Came in on a very busy Sunday morning but was sat pretty quickly at the bar! I ordered the Loaded Biscuits. It was pretty good albeit hard to mess up in my opinion. The only downside was that it came with sausage gravy, so I expected chunks of ground sausage in it, but there was nothing. So not the most filling meal with just the bacon bits as your sole protein.
