Tuesday December 23rd 12pm. I was in town and craving eggs Benedict for brunch. The place was full but there were approximately 6 tables empty. 2 were dirty however. I told the hostess I need seating for one. Disappointedly she said I could only sit at the bar. I then stated I don't like stools and the bar was crowded. The hostess said parties of one can only sit at the bar. I was furious. After searching online for the dish I wanted, driving there only to be told I can only sit in one area bc of it being just me was the worst customer service I ever encountered. Shocked I looked around to see if people were waiting for the empty tables but everyone was seated. The hostess continued to just look at me as if I had no other choice so I kindly turned around and walked out. Before I taste the food I expect to be treated as a valued customer. We came on a Sunday. I arrived with my husband and daughter and no one was at the front greeting or helping anyone, finally they gave us a 30 min wait time. There's no waiting space, it was two tiny chairs. We got a table and it was TINY for 3 people. The same amount of people behind us had two tables together. Family next to us had the same tiny single table for 4 people. Seating is not comfortable. Music was put louder and was very inappropriate, playing explicit words( p*ssy, n***a, b*itch). We are an interracial couple- black and Hispanic- we don't want to hear any of this in a public setting with families around. Food was okay, pancakes were very dry. This is a solid breakfast spot! Quick service and tasty food. The inside is clean and the staff was very pleasant. I sat at the bar which lets you see into the kitchen and I loved how efficiently they work. In terms of the food we really enjoyed our experience, the Boston Cream Pie Pancakes were fantastic and beautifully presented. The Loaded Biscuits were nice, but I felt there was a lot of gravy to biscuit ratio, and an additional biscuit or less gravy would have made that perfect. As the diner serves a bottomless brunch it was a little rowdy when we arrived around noon, but nothing offensive. Onto the service, when we arrived our table was a little bit messy despite it not being busy. We ordered our drinks fairly quickly with our server Josie and then our food shortly after. Our food was out fairly promptly and the pancakes looked beautiful and made with care, unfortunately my biscuits were not with some drip on the bowl, making it look a little rushed. Within a minute of our food being put down, our cheque was brought to our table, which was fairly odd as it wasn't busy and there were multiple free tables and no wait. Our server hovered around waiting for us to put a card down, checking multiple times but not doing our refills, despite mine being empty for half the meal. We were glad that we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, otherwise we would have missed The diner. If you plan to go, make sure you have enough time. Seemed like everyone was going to the The diner between 0800-1200. A long queue but the staff was attentive and made sure that the order people came in, was the order they received table. We were a little bit lucky to get a table for 9 fairly quickly and was served by Felipe. Felipe was very attentive and service minded even though we may have giving him some curveballs along the way. What can you do with picky kids, wanting to fly to the theme parks in a jiffy! We ordered scrambled egg potatoes kids menu, avocado toast, omelette Tex, Belgian waffle and pancakes. Everything tasted great and service was excellent. The only thing I may be picky about was the smell. The smell of raw egg was all I've the restaurant. Solid, lowkey brunch spot with an extensive menu. I went midmorning midweek, and it was unfortunately fairly dead. (The only good thing about this was that the food came out very, very quickly.) Service was excellent and prompt. The food was delicious and plentiful; my chocolate chip pancakes were full of chocolate chips, and fluffy without being dense. The side of scrambled eggs wasn't dry (a common happenstance with scrambled eggs out at breakfast). The grits weren't my favorite; they were a little liquidly for my taste, but I *am* a grits snob, so I won't hold that against them. I believe this is a fairly new location; a more established location is on i-Drive. This one is closer to me and a little less busy, so I'm looking forward to going back whenever I'm in the mood for chocolate chip pancakes. :) read more

On top of that, I thought $16 was a steep price for what was essentially plain potatoes, two eggs, and a single slice of avocado. I had asked the server for a recommendation, but was told to just stick with the highlighted menu items since they're the biggest sellers. My girlfriend and I came to hit Disney world and the universal parks on vacation and stopped here on the first day. Wow! This is a hidden gem. Located in a strip mall area. Our waitress Leina was wonderful! Helped me order what was divine Boston Crème French toast and crispy bacon. TLDR; this place is a major tourist trap, overpriced food, bad service & awkward set up. We were a party of 6 and when we arrived there were approx 5 parties ahead of us. We were quoted 15-20 minutes wait. A lot of other people came in after us and we were all crowded around other tables awkwardly waiting. After waiting 30 minutes we were told we would be seated next after we asked how much longer. When we were finally seated (at a table with people crowded around us) we waited about 10 minutes before asking if we had a server. After that immediately she showed up. The food is insanely overpriced - for our kids to get 1 egg it was $7.99 and with bacon and a waffle it was around $16 for a KIDS MEAL. Everything is individually priced which adds up quickly, for the quality of the food it is not worth it. And the cherry on top, after subpar service, was that they add gratuity of 22% to your table automatically for parties of 6+. Servers in Florida make $11/hour plus 22% tip on overpriced food for her to do the bare minimum. Not acceptable. read more

The food: blah. Boring and average for the adults. The ingredients were average; not high quality but not subpar. The cheese on my sandwich arrived unmelted. The kids however liked their specialty pancakes. And the portions were large. The cost: I get Orlando is a tourist town and things will on average cost more. This place is no exception, but the flavors and quality don't justify it. Also they added an additional $1 charge to each entree that had eggs as a "egg charge". My daughter and I decided to look for something a little more local while I was visiting her in Orlando. We found this delightful restaurant just north of her apartment. I had Huervos rancheros and she had buttermilk pancakes. It was very busy when we came in, but we were able to sit right down. We waited 35 mins to be sat, and given we are in Orlando, we were fine with that, because it's Spring Break, and often expected. We were sat and it took 15 mins for our server to ask what we wanted to drink. We put our order in at the same time. One burger with bacon, one kids burger, a breakfast burrito and the chicken and biscuits. We waited over 40 mins for our food. My husband's chick and biscuits were done first, and sat in the window while the rest of the food was made. We watched our food sit in the window, while servers did side work, making coffee and literally everything else. It wasn't just our food that sat there. My husband's chicken and biscuits were dry and not even edible by the time it came to the table. My son's bacon wasn't on his burger. We watched food sit to die in the window the entire time we were there. Anyone who has worked in the service industry knows that your priority must be getting food to the table expeditiously. The entire experience ruined because we waited for food, that could not be consumed. We didn't have time to wait for food to be remade because we had already waited so long for every other aspect of this experience. We ended up sharing food, so that my husband didn't leave hungry. For what food costs these days, there must be more care extended to the entire process. Our bill was $45 for 3 meals, as my husband's food was removed. But no one took into consideration it wasn't just his meal, it was all of us that were affected during this awful experience. I would not recommend this establishment. Came in for breakfast on the way to the airport and had Boston Crème pancakes, the Benedict's and the daily special ( cinnamon French toast, house potatoes and sausage. ). All of the food was fantastic and the service was prompt and friendly. I wish we had one of these in Blaine, MN.
