I had been wanting to go to The Dinner Detective show for the longest and I am so glad we went! I surprised my partner with tickets to a Saturday night show which was called "Dirty Money". Buying the tickets online is super easy. If you are going in a big group there is a section in the form where you can put that. This makes it so easy if you're not buying the tickets all together so that you are guaranteed to all sit together. You have 3 options for dinner: chicken, fish, or vegetarian which is pasta. All the information you need for the show is emailed to you. Check in begins at 6 pm for Saturday night shows and 7 pm for Friday night shows. There is valet parking at the hotel where the show is located or there is also a parking lot right across the street for $7 self park. The valet is $20. We did self-park because it is just crossing the street. We arrived at the show and were greeted by a friendly face. We were given our meal ticket and table number. We then got to choose an alias name. Which was hilarious. I am a huge fan of The Office so I chose our names to be Beatrix Bourbon and Voodoo Mama Juju. If you know you know haha. It was so fun to read what other people had come up with. We then proceeded inside to sit at our table. You are sat with a group and everyone who is wearing a name tag can be part of the show and a suspect. You can choose to pay a little extra and be part of the show. I wish I had done this option. I would've picked my partner to be a suspect. She would've loved it! When we arrived our salads had been served and there was bread and butter at the table for all. I will say the bread and butter were really good! The food is okay but the show 100% makes up for it. The detectives were so hilarious and kept the room engaged the entire time. The woman reminded me of Linda from Bob's Burgers she was so great. The show is made up of 3 acts and in between each one you are served your food. The staff, host, and waiters were so friendly and nice. It really is a small group but boy do they do an amazing job! Everyone involved was great. We had an incredible time and will be going back with a big group!

This event/show/dinner was a blast! It was a truly unique interactive show that gets you out of your comfort zone. It feels like you become part of it and at the end leaves you suspecting even your own husband! The food was delicious . They had 3 choices to pick from chicken, salmon or vegetarian pasta. The pasta was a large portion. There was also desert, salad and chicken. The host went around taking his time to meet every single guest. There was music to match the mood in the room. I would definitely recommend. And for those of you that stopped and froze at "out of your comfort zone" no need to worry there is a bar in the room with drinks for purchase so chillax and come check this place out. You'll love it !

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT. I never went to a murder dinner before and didn't know what to expect. The event happened in the Embassy Hotel by the Miami Airport. The location was clean and very welcoming. The actors and the show were funny and everybody had a good time. They also used guest and made them interact in the show. The clues were a little difficult and wasn't a big help for the motive of the murder. The food was delicious. It started with a salad, then I had the salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes and as dessert they served cheesecake. I definitely will recommend this show to friends and family. Thanks for the great evening.

Now, full disclosure: I'm not a huge theatre person. I'd much rather be curled up on my couch than paying to periodically shush strangers. But iPic makes leaving my house worth it. The oversized recliners, cozy blankets, in-seat service, and a good movie? That's a solid date night. Now onto the important part. My biggest tip is to arrive 30 minutes before showtime so you're not trying to read the menu by flashlight once the previews start. Since we caught an afternoon showing, I wanted something a little lighter and ordered the Harvest Bowl, while hubby went with the bison burger and sweet potato fries. I treated myself to one Old Fashioned, and he kept it simple with a beer. Everything arrived before the movie started, which I always appreciate. Just be warned... once those lights go down, you're pretty much on your own trying to guide food from plate to mouth. I find it to be a fun challenge. The Harvest Bowl was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving with chickpeas, quinoa, avocado, and plenty of green. The sweet potato fries were good too. I would've loved a little more crisp on them, but let's be honest that's usually the trade-off with sweet potato. The portions were just right. Filling enough to enjoy without immediately falling asleep in those dangerously comfortable recliners. (Although... maybe skip the late-night showing if you're anything like me.) If you're looking for an easy date night with good food and a comfortable movie experience, iPic remains as my solid choice.

We bought our tickets online, about $25 per person, and they were emailed to us. We choose the 9pm show, comedians usually perform two shows per night, 7pm and 9pm. If you order food, snacks or dinner it will definitely add to your total. The food however is great, I've been here a few times and have gotten different items each time, and loved it. Seating is first come first served. Once you check in the staff will escort you to your table, they mange how the room fills up so you don't have to cause chaos trying to figure where to go. The club is spacious, and dimly lit, but still easy to maneuver. There also is a very strict no camera policy, for obvious reasons. I love this place. It really gives new meaning to "dinner and a movie." Honestly, the movie I saw was good, but that's almost secondary here. The real draw is the experience. Being served a full meal while sitting in a super comfortable recliner takes it to another level. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with maple syrup dipping sauce and sriracha ranch, along with fries, and it was all very tasty. I also like the brownie dessert they have. It's delicious. The theater itself is upscale and feels more like a luxury experience than your typical movie theater. I've been to other theaters that try to offer food service, some closer to this level and others that feel more like a regular theater that just happens to serve food. I definitely prefer the upscale version, and this place does it right. Service is handled well and doesn't distract from the movie, and they stop taking orders with about 45 minutes left, which I thought was a smart move. It is pricey, so I wouldn't go all the time, but once or twice a year it's a great treat and a really enjoyable experience.
