I received HALF a shot and one of the worse mix drinks I've ever tasted. A friend tried to order a water but didn't meet the $30 limit for a card, was then told we could leave. Districts, is personally my favorite club to go to. Best part about it is the people you meet going/working there. The music is good and the drinks isn't that expensive. If you're planning to go, Saturday night is always booming. Plus hit up my boy Al Sanchez on Ig , the best promoter you'll ever meet. The security guards are low key cool once you get to know them. This club is super ratchet, hence the two stars. The good thing was the yelp checkin before 1130pm you get free entry. At 1130 on a Saturday night the club seemed to be about 50% capacity. I'm not sure when things turn up in Hawaii but apparently it's definitely at The District at 1130. The venue here is not great. It definitely is a club, but it really seems like a bar w/ a dance floor. When you're from California, you're used to nice classy nightclubs, the venue here just doesn't give off that vibe. When you're here it almost feels like you're partying in a basement, like it's dark, not much air flow, basement vibes. Crowd here is ok. Definitely seems to be like younger 20s vibes. I'm sure the younger you are the more lit you think this place is, as you can see I might not be that young. Music. Music is good here, they play hip hop, I like hip hop. Oahu's best nightclub hands down! Had my girlfriends birthday celebration there and got bottle service. She loved it and everyone had a great time. Lit lit litty! First time to District LOL because yo girl has been kickin it at Scarlet most of her 21-privileged year. However, My friends and I decided to change it up a bit and came to District on a Friday night. Thank goodness Yelp offers that free entry before 11:30 coupon deal, because that's exactly what we did. Upon entry, you find yourself in a dark room with a bar on your left, another one on your right, and the dance floor smacked in the very middle. It was kinda small overall compared to Scarlet, but the DJ was definitely playing better music. It was great. My friends and I got Jäger bombs and made our way to that throwback, grinding, hitting it, having a great time music. What threw me off guard was every now and then the ceiling just blasts smoke at random corners of the dance floor, so we got pelted by that a couple of cold times. It was a super fun night. So I had a GOOD time here with my boys for our Bachelor party. I was expecting 3 star service based on these reviews, but nope! Mind you, we were 3 dudes deep looking mainland asf with our hawaiian shirts that scream TOURIST!!! We had no issues whatsoever, from the beginning to the end. Wish I can say the say for the club next door to them... It was me and my boys first time to a club in Hawaii, yes, we were newbs and were kinda shy. We weren't loud or obnoxious at the gate, but we did pre-game quite a bit before entering. Security didn't give us any issues whatsoever. This huge security guard did turn a couple girls away for wearing shorts, so keep that in mind folks, no shorts, doesn't matter if you're male or female! There was a cover charge of $20, but we dodged it thanks to one of my boys putting us on the guest list. The young lady checking us in was pleasant to deal with too! Also, this club is a two parter, there's another room in the back that you can get to as well, think you can order food there. The inside...we showed up before 11 pm and it was pretty empty. The party did not start until 1 am or so, when people next door poured in. The bartender that we dealt with, can't remember his name, but that dude was awesome! He gave us 5 star service and we tipped him a good amount for it. Tip your bartendar folks! He made us whatever friggin drinks we wanted, nah seriously, we made him concoct a "tiki tea" and gave him the dumbest drunk explanation of the ingredients and he delivered! With a heavy hand too! Can't thank that guy enough, he made our night that much better. Music - think ratchet trap music (Tyga, YG, G Eazy, etc.) and remixed with other popular songs. Dear Friends Over 40: Remember when going to "the club" was life? Before Tinder, before Bumble, before Bagel Meets Donut... when your cell phone phone was a flip phone and your life didn't revolve around a smart phone and Netflix? We were all kinds of ratchet but boy was it fun! Now that I am married with three kids, the last thing I ever want to do is go clubbing. It's so loud, there are so many people I don't know, I have to wear high heels. Did I mention that it's so loud? So when my friends planned a night to go salsa dancing at the District I wanted to throw up from all the negative thought swirling around in my brain. First off, it's clubbing. Second, it's salsa. I think I've said enough for everyone to cast their stones of judgement into the pool of understanding. But in an effort to stay forever young and try new things, I convinced my husband to go with me and our group of friends to the District for a salsa lesson and dancing. I laughed and told him this would officially mark the beginning of us not being cool. We rolled into the District with a group of 8 and joined the class which happens before salsa night. We all followed the instructor for a bit and got drinks from the bar along the way. The club is definitely not new, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The crowd was an eclectic assortment of transplants and tourists of all ages but I loved how much fun everyone was having. One of the girls that was with us apparently comes here every single week and lives to dance salsa. We stayed until about 10:30pm and bounced to another bar. Although the District is not necessarily my kind of spot for this moment in my life, I'm sure the 20 year old me would have loved it! read more

I worked on Memorial Day weekend and had no chance to go out. But I found a free ticket offer to a dance club on Sunday nite from 10 pm to 4 am on FB. The ticket expired at 11 pm. I arrived a few minutes after opening and walked into an empty club. Staff was setting up the three bars. There are four bar tables, but no stools anywhere and the only seating available was for bottle service. Music was danceable in the begin. The club comes with all the fixing of a serious dance club. Plus, ceiling fans aimed at dance space. There was no Wi-Fi service. Per Google reviews, there is a dress code for business attire. I was wearing a skirt and top. By 10:35 pm, there were four non-drinking couples and dress appeared opened to shorts and tee-shirts. The couples were probably thinking of their options of going somewhere else. More people appeared at about 10:40 pm and general age were the mid to late '20s. There was no cocktail waitress, so I order a from an unsociable bartender, on a night that only had ten customers at the time. Tequila on rocks; $10 in a plastic cup. By 11:00 pm it looks like disappointed people were leaving looking for greener, more livery clubs. The music progressed to semi-danceable to rap. DJ didn't show any skill to be invented or making his own unique playlist to generate tribe event for customers. I don't mind sipping alcohol from a plastic cup, but there must be social interaction that comes with drinks. Or I might as well stay home and dance to my Kinect & Xbox One. By 11:25 pm, more people appeared, but the DJ was too musically wrapped up with himself to entice people to dance. As I was leaving the club, they were allowing people to enter for free with the ticket. I can understand why this place needed to offer a free ticket to stay in business. The District declined my real California ID. I am over the age of 21 and they didn't accept it. Not only did they not take my real ID they were very rude and disrespectful about the situation. They bent my real California ID to the point it is permanently damaged and called my friend a bitch for trying to explain that it was a real California ID and I was over the age of 21. I will never be going here again as the front men are rude and dismissive and they don't take real IDs. As well as damaging personal property. 0/10 read more
