Had lunch today with friends at The District Tap. I'm always on the lookout for a good Buffalo chicken salad - my go to has always been Chili's but since they've closed the 2 locations near me, I've been looking for a replacement. I think I found it at the District Tap. To begin with our waitress was great. She kept our drinks topped off and allowed us to linger at our table to catch up on old times. My Buffalo chicken salad arrived - lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and red onions tossed with a Buffalo ranch dressing and topped with fried Buffalo chicken tenders. Would really recommend this place! Great ambiance of music and TV, without being too obtrusive. The service was quick and friendly. Our server gave us great recommendations. I ended up getting the Buffalo chicken sandwich with tots. The table got the Buffalo cauliflower bites, dumplings, salmon pene, General JC's chicken, and the smash burger. The main concensus was great, the only call out from the whole table (and why I went 4* not 5*) was the salt. Everything was VERY salty. If you like salt, this place is for you. I think if I just visited The District Tap for drinks and sports, I would have had a great time. There are TVs everywhere: Even personal TVs in the booths. It looked like every sports game that was happening anywhere was on a TV in the restaurant. The bar area is massive and there were lots of drink options. The alcohol menu was probably more extensive than the food menu. Alas, I didn't visit for a beer and sports. I visited for the food, and that's why my review is just "OK." Honestly, I think you could have put my meal on the table with similar meals from Applebee's, TGI Fridays, Cheesecake Factory or pretty much any brew pub that sells burgers and handhelds, I could not have picked out which one was from The District Tap. It was just more of the same. You're probably like, "Hey, snob! I like Applebee's!" Well, then you will like the food here. Go with God and enjoy your meal. I got the Left Coast Chicken Club, which is a club sandwich with grilled chicken. It was fine -- the chicken tasted grilled, which is great. It came with a choice of a side, and I chose fries, and they were fine, too. My husband got the Mr. B's Philly Cheesesteak, and it was fine. In the past, I tried to come here but the wait was always too long. Tonight we came at 5:30 and were seated right away, and our waitress promptly took our drink order. On Thursdays they have a $3.50 pint special including most of their expansive beer selection. The food menu, while not the most unique, offers something for every palate. The average price point for their main dishes and meals was between $12-$17. While the prices seemed to be on the higher end, the portion sizes were large enough that two of us could split the Creole Pasta and have plenty to eat. We also really enjoyed the flavors of the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer, but it wasn't quite as spicy as the name let on. As it got later, the room started to fill up in anticipation of the live music scheduled. The upscale bar-type environment would be ideal for groups and casual nights out. I work in a medical office in Carmel Indiana where District Tap has been catered a few times over the last couple of weeks. The chicken tenders and naked chicken are terrible. It taste like fish and has traces of fish batter on it. Change your grease. Why are you cooking chicken and fish in the same batter? I feel bad for these drug reps spending all this money on terrible food because it's catered and they think they won't get a complaint. My dads 80th birthday celebration was today. I was really disappointed with the service my family and friends received . Inattentive. The staff acted like we were bothering them. Also not clearing the tables before serving my family food. Not starting with the head table Birthday. I had to ask 4 times before I could get a refill. I had a salad that I started with. Super clean, a million stalls, and even have the handicapped stall sort of isolated from the rest in a way that achieves privacy and efficiency that is unheard of in most bars. Well done DT! Been awhile since I've been to district tap on game day. The bar seemed understaffed, maybe two working it so service a little slow. That was the bar, but I didn't stay there long. Fortunately I was joining a Packer watch group in the events room. Keirsten was our server. She took care of room by herself and did an absolutely amazing job. Bloody Mary's are $5 on Sunday, so that made it easy to select a drink. I ordered the pork chop for my entree. It was one of best pork chops I've had. It came with jasmine rice, asparagus wrapped in bacon and a little side of bbq sauce(I think). The sauce, chop, and rice combined was perfect. A+ to district tap. read more

The fries and onion rings have great seasoning and the ingredients are fresh. Parking is really easy and always plenty of room. They've been following great Covid protocols, but are now open to full capacity, so make sure you are comfortable with that. read more

I decided to have my birthday party at the District Tap because it was highly recommended and also for convenience. I must say it did not disappoint. I wanted a simple but filling meal so I decided to order the pepperoni and sausage 14 inch pizza. To my surprise it was very tasty and filling. As a matter of fact I ended up sharing half of the pizza because everyone thought it was that good and wanted to taste it. I will certainly add District Tap to my pizza list. The customer service was great even though it was a Sunday and the place was totally filled to capacity. I ordered fries on the side and they were cooked to perfection! My wife tried the cheeseburger and gave me a piece, I can only say wow! It was juicy and don't mention the bacon! Since this was a Sunday there were tons of tv's to watch any football game you wanted to watch which was a bonus. My husband and I went for an early dinner with friends who were celebrating their anniversary. Everything from walking into the restaurant up until the time we left was amazing. The ladies who greeted and seated us were very friendly. Our server was absolutely wonderful. She was very prompt getting to our table; greeting us with waters. She answered all of our questions and if she did not know the answer, she went to find out. She brought us a few samples of ciders, which was helpful because there was one in particular that we all loved. Our food was amazing. We started out with the southwest egg rolls, they were very good, I was upset I had to share ! Next our server suggested the Dirty Style Wings (not pictured). They were some of the best wings I've had around Indy. I had the Bottle Cap Burger, I love spicy and it has a jalapeño cream cheese with fried jalapeños on it, delicious! My husband had The Good Egg Burger, and that must have been just as amazing because he did not let me taste it lol. This was one of the first restaurants I've been to in a while where a manager has actually come to the table to speak to the guests. That was a really nice feeling. Working in the food and beverage industry for as long as I have, there are many things that do not happen how they did in the past. We are all very pleased with our visit. We arrived late, around 10pm. The music was too loud. The ribeye was way over-salted. Waiter did a good job.

Food was awesome. Fried cheese was great and an amazing cheese pull, that nearly reached the far end of our table. Wings were awesome, plenty of flavor and sauce. Games were on every TV and live music was great. The only complaint was service was a little slow. A few of the people in our group didn't get a refill on drinks til right before our server came for us to ask for the bill. One of the orders of Wings came out late. And once we asked for the bill we waited probably 10 minuts before they brought it out. It was a good experience and food was great we will still be back. read more

Our waitress was not great at all, we never saw her and she rarely checked on us. We had to walk through the restaurant to try to find her because she hadn't come to our table in maybe an hour. I'm a little embarrassed to say that The District Tap was not my first choice. Hubby and I came downtown on Sunday July 3. We were hoping to go to Kilroy's for breadsticks but they were closed. Even though we checked on the website and yelp before going to make sure that they were open and there was a little typed note on the door saying that they were closed July 3 and fourth. No biggie, but where to eat now? The district tap is located directly across the way from Kilroy's and I had heard good things so I thought we would give it a go. The inside is a really cool place with the bar right in the middle of everything. I'm sure they said somewhere how many beers were on tap but I don't remember seeing it. However, there is a HUGE Selection of craft beer. I couldn't decide between the bougie breakfast board or the tenderloin. Lucky for me Hubby ordered the tenderloin so I was free to order the breakfast board! As you can see in the picture it is a gorgeous gorgeous board filled with two types of pancakes, a waffle, mixed berries, bacon, and all the things to put on top! It was delicious. Hubby's tenderloin was delicious as well all white meat and perfectly seasoned breading inside of a warm grilled bun with all the fixings. Everything was really good. There was also live music. I am not the type of person that likes live music but it was really tasteful and on the other side of the bar from us you could barely hear it from where we were. I say I don't like live music because it impedes on your conversation from being so loud many times. The volume of the live performer was perfect. We heard him loud and clear toward the front when we were going out but barely at all in the back while we were eating. Service was A-1 our waitress was fast and nice. And when we asked for to go sodas we got an actual cup which I'm still excited about. 10 out of 10 will go back. read more

This place was great- when I heard it was a sports bar I was expecting any old sports bar but I was pleasantly surprised! It was spacious, classy, and had very cool decor. I got shrimp tacos, which were amazing. They came in a lettuce shell, which I don't normally go for, but I do think it made it better! The lettuce made the tacos a bit messy, but I ordered the rice pilaf as a side and then just mixed that with all my fallen toppings as the end. It was a great way to do it- would recommend. We ordered some beers as well (they have amazing beer deals and selections). Additionally we ordered some southwest egg roll appetizer, which did not arrive til much after our dinner. While this was disappointing, they were still good and our waiter was very nice about it. The service was a little slow, but we didn't mind because we were watching football games on the TVs! And our waitstaff was very nice about it. All the waitstaff were wearing masks, the tables were distanced, and they had paper drink menus. I felt very safe dining here. Twice in the last 3 weeks I've ordered the $12 lunch that states, copying from menu, "$12 DAMN GOOD LUNCH - Min Mac pot, Choice of one of the three mac and cheese pots, SERVED with a Breadstick and a side salad., the $12 also includes a soft drink". To me this tells me for $12 +tax I should receive a min Mac pot, breadstick, side salad, and a drink. TWICE I've ordered this. Never got the breadstick, not a biggie, and the cost is $14+tax. Both times I've been told that the salad costs $2.00 more. EVEN THOUGH the menu states it comes with a salad for $12 you have to pay $14 for that one. Hostess today was very blunt "that's just how we charge it". I pointed out the menu and said said "That's just how we charge it". I questioned why does it say it if it's more and she replied "that's just how we charge it". SO if you want the min mac and cheese pot for lunch KNOW that it is not $12 but they will actually charge you a premium up charge to order this $12 lunch...oh and you won't get the breadstick either. read more

Noise levels for lunch were average but imagine it gets quite loud when big sports games are on TV. Generous portions especially for kids meals. If you have beer specials pasted all over the walls you should honor it. When I got my bill I got charged regular price. The server said it was because of St. Patricks day. I dont know what that has to do with any thing since there were no more people in there than normal. At the very least the server could have told us when we ordered. read more
