I've been buying these Dex treats at Buc-ee's since I adopted my dog at 2 months old. He turns 5 this month and I just recently learned that they're made right here in Houston at a fabulous place! Not only are they a barkery (one of the best around by far) but they're a boutique and playground too! I took my boy (whose name is also Dexter) in for his birthday and we had such a blast. You can do serious damage shopping then to relax from all that fun, head outside and let the pups cool off in their many pools and shaded areas. Plenty of seating for their humans too. The owners and employees there are absolutely marvelous; SO talented and so sweet! There is a huge variety of goodies to browse- from their many treats, to clothing/accessories, toys and more. I'm so mad at myself for not knowing they were here years ago. We'll be making up for lost time and visiting whenever we can now! read more

I came here for an awesome corgi birthday party for Duchess and Cheddar. It's tucked away, and I never knew that there was this wonderful place to grab goodies for your fur babies. They have a large fenced in place astroturf area for off leash play. They provided lots of balls, and chuck-it sticks for the dogs to have a blast. There were a couple of doggie pools which everyone enjoyed since it was a warm day out. The owners are super gracious and friendly, offered us coozies for our drinks. If you were to host an event, you can bring your own decor and drinks. It was a total blast. Inside the bakery, there's TONS of adorable treats, ice cream, everything is made from scratch, healthy and organic for your pups. They also host every first Thursday a Bark & Sip to hang with your pups and friends. I can't recommend this place enough. Parking may be a little tight but there's street parking available. read more

Tho place is really cute!!! The staff is extremely friendly and very wonderful with helping setting up for the birthday party. They have a big outdoor area which is great for humans and dogs, music setup, a in out door TV, closed off sections, areas for setting up for a party annnnnd the bakery! This place produces all the dog treats found in the Buc-ee's. There is not a parking lot so you have to park on the streets but there is one neighboring business that has its own lot so there should be space. If you've never seen a dog go to town on doggy ice cream, you haven't witnessed pure joy. My fur babes and their dog pal all went nuts for their peanut butter banana ice cream, and it was a perfect treat on a sunny and 83-degree day. They also snacked on 'pup-cakes'. Items are gluten-free, grain-free, and dairy-free. And these treats were hand delivered by the owner, and everything arrived packaged nicely and the ice cream kept frozen in their special packaging. How the Doggie Express has been open for several years and I'm just now finding them is crazy! What a cute and perfect shop for me to come to and shower my pup with treats. I needed to get a few birthday treats for my dog's birthday and stumbled across this while searching for new places to try. The store has an abundance of different types of treats and ice creams, it was SO hard to just choose even a few! I also love the long shelf life of the treats so I stocked up on a few cookies for Thanksgiving for my pup. The staff welcomed me immediately and assisted me while I shopped. What an experience! From start to finish I can't say enough about this place. I called and spoke with Marla the day before my sweet boys 1st birthday - worried it wouldn't be enough time to get the large cake they sell - but it was plenty of time! We ordered the 6" round peanut butter cake and it did not disappoint! Our 6 dogs LOVED it! We even had leftovers. Customer services was above and beyond; they texted me the morning of with a photo of the cake letting me know it was ready. When we went to pick it up I had to restrain myself from buying a little bit of everything; ice cream, cookie treats, fruit treats, etc. Marla even made sure she came out to say hi after talking to me the day before. This is a wonderful place for dog lovers to get treats and to spend time with their pups! My pup and I came here for the first time, on a Saturday afternoon. We came in and were greeted with a delicious smell of the baked goods!!! My puppy started sniffing and attempting to reach out for treats while I took in the smell (which reminded me) of freshly baked coconut desserts! A lady came over to greet us and was very helpful. She explained the variety of treats and services, provided the list of ingredients, and gave us a tour of the establishment. She was very patient/helpful to me and my pup despite that we came in the last hour to closing. In addition to baked treats, they have variety of party hats, ice creams, meaty chews (chicken, beef), cakes, and mini muffins. They have an outdoor area for dogs with seating areas for paw parents which also, can be rented for a paw party. I got an ice cream, treats, mini muffins and meaty chew-chicken. I opted to open the meaty chew-chicken that I bought while at the store. The glass container was sealed tight and the moment the lid popped open- Wow!!! it smelled fresh and yummy! It did not smell like any other meat jerky with so many other ingredients. We got home and my pup liked everything we got. I am coming back next time to get more. The Doggie Express was able to accommodate my little girls birthday cake request on a short notice.  The process was seamless. I gave her (Marla) a call, she asked details about my pet including name, age and cake color choices.  She explained the ingredients in the cake which I very much appreciated, as I have a picky eater.  Pickup was also very simple. Packaging was great, and she even gave us a few doggy treats to sample, which our neighbor's doggies LOVED.  The cake is freezable, which is great if you have smaller fur babies.  Kona LOVED every single bite, her favorite part was the frosting.  Thanks Marla! read more

Yesterday I was devastated when the cake I ordered from another dog bakery THREE MONTHS ago was cancelled due to a work member not doing her job! This is the 2nd year we have used Doggie Express. i have an Akita and my daughters dog is extra large Bully. Both hate peanut butter...so it was hard finding a meat flavored cake. But doggie Express is the only baker that offer a meat flavor. Of course my baby bear is so picky. But honey when I tell you she loves this cake and of course my daughters dog devoured his in 2 bites. I'm beyond grateful for the beautiful cakes and the excellent customer service. The Doggies Express was awesome!! My Frenchie Levi was having a party for his 1st Birthday and of course I was going to need a cake. I purchase a dog safe cake mix from amazon for $29.00, but I had to bake everything and it didn't come with anything safe to decorate, so I returned it. Then yelped dog bakery's and came across Doggie Express! Emailed them what I wanted Tuesday afternoon, a cake for about 8-10 small-medium dogs. Kelly emailed me back and helped me find the perfect cake for the party. Then, to make the experience even better she delivered it to our house an hour before the party. The cake was so so so cute, not only did the doggies love it; the parents enjoy a bite or two as well. She also offered us puppy ice cream, which one of the pups could not get enough of. All in all it, Doggie Express made the party extra fun and extra special for all the dogs. Will definitely use them again. read more

These people are truly awesome. Same day delivery orders are supposed to be placed before 11:30 am. However, it's 1:30 in the afternoon and my best friend gave me the awful news that her pup with tongue cancer will need a large portion of her tongue removed. I called up the Doggie Express and explained the situation. They agreed to whip up a batch of cupcakes for poor Bella and are delivering them later today. You all are angels. Worst unprofessional company I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. I ordered a birthday cake and treats for my dog 10 days in advance and kept watching the door on the promised day of delivery. They finally showed up at 9:00pm and complained about traffic. How were we supposed to enjoy the day when the day is over at 9pm. I even warned them that I lived out west to make sure that wouldn't be an issue and they said it wouldn't. When I called to check they just didn't answer the phone and when they finally did they said it was on the way and it was 3 hours later. I will NEVER use them again. On top of that the delivery person tried to give my wife the cake for free and stuck her foot in the door so that she couldn't close it. I've asked for my money back ($100) and we'll see how that goes...DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE. read more

Her cake was more than I could have hoped for and she ate every last crumb she could find. The treats for the 4-legged guests were devoured in the blink of an eye and all of the dogs were lurking around for seconds.
