Very excited when there are new ice cream shops to be tried. Normally we make the 40 minute drive to downtown Riverside to go to 'Afters ice cream' because it is fantastic and after doing some research on The Dolly Llama brand, our hopes were high. Five of us went and we tried a very big assortment of the different options they have from cones to waffle to their "specialties". Although there was a lot of different ways to serve the ice cream, I was disappointed at the flavors-I even asked if they were exclusive to their brand - they looked like thrifty ice cream(which I love) but from what I remember, there were definitely not as many options. The ice cream was good not great and we spent about $50. We would've all been equally satisfied with spending $15 at Rite Aid. The Customer Service was decent not GREAT . We really wanted to love this place but we will continue to make the drive to Riverside when we want something special. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

Really liked the atmosphere. Ice cream was good. The waffles are amazing! Portions are huge. Even a small scoop I couldn't finish. Took our teen group there and had a great time. Music was a little loud on top of a bunch of teenagers yelling at each other but we will be returning. read more

Was able to try the Dolly Llama for the first time. I had the coffee shake and it was fine. But, quite honestly, not worth $11.00. My wife tried a waffle topped with chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. She liked the ice cream but didn't care for the waffle. We have had dozens of liege waffles that were baked fresh and were delicious. But, I'm a little surprised they used a packaged waffle here rather than making their own. I hope they do well but we won't be back. read more

Disappointed. I kept hearing about how this store has vegan ice cream and I was quite excited to try it because I have a dairy allergy but when we get there the employee said he wasn't even sure they had it in stock and they only carry vanilla and chocolate if they even have it. Place is small and clean. Service was slow and not very friendly. The ice cream was nice and creamy and the flavors were good, not too strong or overpowering. The waffle dough was decent, taste best when eaten along with the ice cream all in one bite. First and last visit. Purchased the Bubble waffle to go and the machine quit working. On duty person said to come back in 15 minutes which added to be a 1/2 hr for ice cream. Took my order home only to find the bubble waffle under cooked. I paid 11.00 for a gooey Disgusting Mess. Go to DQ way better. read more

Went with my husband late one night. I made my own bubble waffle with fruit, brownies and salted caramel ice cream if I remember correctly. It was delicious! My husband loved his as well. First time I came here it took almost 30 minutes for 3 of us to get our ice cream and we were the only ones there. Today, the girl was making waffles and FaceTiming someone cleaning the machine. Didn't acknowledge us until after 10 minutes I asked her if we needed to come another time. She finally took our order. Made my shake and it tasted like pure milk. She remade it and it was the same. My husbands order was made wrong and my child who wanted a scoop of vanilla waited 30 minutes to get it. Again, we were the only customers there. Came in to order something to try it and walked right back out the door. I saw one of the workers a girl blowing on the waffle maker to clean it. I stood there for a few minutes just staring and one of the owners was there looking at her doing this but said nothing. I think it was a family member to the owner as nothing was said considering this is the food industry and she just blew spit all over the waffle maker that you use to make our waffles.
