Only had a chance to try the cheese danish today. It was solid but some of the ingredients seemed to be a bit artificial in taste. Like the frosting on the danish didn't necessarily taste homemade which is the reason for my 3 star rating. read more

Recently moved back to the area and honestly I have not had a really good donut in years. These donuts are truly some of the best I have ever had. The twist I had was pillowy soft and just delicious. No frills donut shop serving up some of the absolute best donuts in the Queen City! SO DELICIOUS my husband and I had them at our wedding for all of our guests. The Fifth Star is for the fried croissants which I had the pleasure of first trying here on my way to Cincinnati. I got here at 9 am and it was packed! This is a no frills shop with a couple booths to sit at and all were full and a line out the door! It still moved fast and they had plenty to chose from! My favorites were definetly the fried croissants, the peanut butter and jelly donuts and the fried apple fritters. It was all very good, definetly worth stopping by! read more

The donut shop is a great little shop in a strip mall. The decor is a little outdated and nothing necessarily to look at, but they really have great great donuts. The blueberry cake donuts have real blueberries in them. Plenty of sodas and drinks other than just milk, juice and coffee. The donuts are made fresh and tastes that way. Reasonably priced with a great taste. I would have taken pictures of the donuts, but I ate them first. read more

We stayed the night in Lebanon and wanted to find a doughnut for the ride home. The doughnuts are super fresh and soft. I was very disappointed in the Bismarck's, absolutely no cream filling!!! I've never seen just a piece of long dough with a smear of icing and no cream. Come on, the light fluffy cream is the attraction. All was not wasted however. If you are a peanut butter lover as I, the Buckeye doughnut was the best ever!!! Soft and plenty of chocolate icing and a generous dollop of peanut butter filling/icing. DELICIOUS. Here's why... (1) perfect yeast donut - like eating a light "cloud" - poofy and light, (2) just the right size, (3) just a light glaze not too overwhelming and not "gloppy caked on look" and (4) not greasy - the donut feels very "light" on the palate. I had a variety that my aunt Edith brought me. One of them was a Bavarian. Very nice - the custard filling was just right not to much not too little and not too sweet. The chocolate glaze was applied not to thick and not to thin. The sweetness was just right in contrast to the custard filling. It was a well balanced Bavarian donut. Great job! read more

Continues to slide downhill...when we first moved to Lebanon I loved this place--specifically the peanut butter frosted jelly donut, which they have not made the last 10 or 12 times I've been there. The actual donuts are good but if you like filling you will be disappointed. 3 bites this morning into my jelly donut before I hit any jelly at all--even less custard in my Boston Creme. Also, instead of injecting the filling on some donuts they simply cut them in half and apply. I've posted pics of my disappointment (yet again) from this morning. Unfortunately they are the only donut shop in town, otherwise I would be heading elsewhere for Sunday morning donuts with my 3 yr old. read more

We used to live in Lebanon only a few minutes away from there and we went there all the time. Then we moved about 30 minutes away and we still go back to Lebanon just to get these donuts!!
