Really love that Holiday Inns still give you some decent breakfasts as part of their stays. Rooms are pretty clean and decently spacious. A lot of these OC locations are refurbished so you can tell they're a bit older from the smell but it's not overwhelming as they're well maintained. Front desk Staff is nice enough but not necessarily overly friendly or helpful. Breakfast staff are hard working and super helpful though. I did get a bit nervous about reading other reviews on parking and kept checking my car cameras all night so that kept me anxious but I had nothing to worry about, it was fine. All in all a decent place to stay in the area.

If you want to sleep well - do NOT stay in this hotel. The biggest reason is the noise. A…read moresecondary reason is the Front Desk staff are not professionally sincere at the least. 1) This Holiday Inn Express is operating within an older style hotel that has single pane windows next to a very busy street where many of the residents have loud car exhausts that blast by all night long (basically it sounds like you have no window at all). This made sleeping very difficult for my family. 2) The ceiling has barely any insulation and you can hear footsteps or for us-- a baby crying, quite often. 3) The Hotel is also behind an Event Center that holds very large capacity parties, from wedding receptions, to quinceañeras. Which meant that we heard music throughout the night until midnight and people yelling outside below us. 4) The elevators omit a very loud PING sound that can be heard inside your hotel room if you stay near the Elevator. 5) Even if you request a quieter room (as I did prior to arrival), the Staff will not accommodate your request. There is also very little chance of escaping any noise here because all sides of this hotel are built relatively the same. - This is a highly unusual Hotel. The biggest issue is the Windows being single pane with this much noise outside. It will be very difficult for Light Sleepers to get any rest. The Staff: are mixed in professionalism. Some are reluctantly accommodating at the front desk, while others seem to gossip in front of you rather than check you in without 'Welcoming' you properly. Their patience is thin-- and it shows. For the price you are paying, you deserve a little respect and service --at the least! Right? This isn't exactly Motel 6. The Complimentary Breakfast in the morning is fine. You can expect a lot of sweet options, eggs, sausages and fair coffee. They promptly close up at the exact minute when it's over, so don't miss out. Overall, I am very disappointed and exhausted with this Holiday Inn Express. I will never stay in this building again. Thus, I highly recommend that you put your money to a better establishment and stay somewhere else...

Service was attentive as the dining areas were cleared quickly and efficiently. The bartender at Happy Hour was welcoming and efficient woth satisfied customers throughout the evening. Five stars for service quality and professionalism! However... Unfortunately this property showed a surprising amount of wear on decor throughout the rooms and hallways. The amenities were noticeably dated. At times through our multi-day stay 2-3 out of 5 elevators were not working, causing great inconvenience for many throughout the 10 floors. The air con is set to only function between certain set temperatures. And the sign notifying guests of this was missing from our initial room. We had to change rooms anyway because our thermostat was broken. Additionally, certain ice machines were not working without signs informing and redirecting guests (normally operational every other floor)... Alas, a tough one... we are usually quite happy overall at the Embassy Suites but for this location, 5 for service and 2 for functionality, evening out to a 3 only because I was impressed by the staff. Most definitely room for improvement.

The overall facilities were very clean and spacious. I did work from a ballroom and it was open, stocked regularly with water for our team and we had everything we could need for our computers. The room is clean and comfortable. Love the bed and pillows and convenience of having amenities in the hotel. Now, for the negatives. When we checked in we were informed that it was going to be $39/night to park! Honestly, I was taken aback. Perhaps that is common in this area but given I booked the reservation over the phone, that is something that definitely should have been conveyed over the phone. It is my understanding this hotel was remodeled in 2024. It does have a new and modern feel about it. So, can you please tell me why they still have showers from the 90's when it was originally built in 2002? The water pressure is so strong in the shower that it hurts! There are adjustments and they are hard, harder, and hardest. Additionally, if you are still using wall showers instead of hand-held in 2026, you have fallen behind. Everybody knows being able to direct the shower is a much better satisfying shower. Additionally, the shower curtain is too short and it just blows around and no matter how you try water is all over the floor. Lastly, there are no safety strips or texture at all on the tub and they are just a slip away from a lawsuit. Several times both my wife and I almost slipped. Because of the sub-standard shower, I will not be returning to the hotel. If they remedy those issues in the shower, I would be happy to return.

The room we had overlooked the pool which looked like a nice pool with enough shade and chairs to lounge in. The room was simple and fairly clean. Nothing worth noting except for some wood shavings at the bottom of the sliding door that should probably be looked at. Pillows were very comfortable and soft sheets. The lighting is a bit dim so if you need good lighting for makeup you might want to use some natural light from the windows. Continental breakfast, it's a nice perk, not the best breakfast but hey it's free. Maybe you can replace those red delicious apples with a different type of apple. The alarm at 6:30 in the morning while I'm resting on vacation was absolutely criminal- that almost made this a 3 star review of it wasn't for your lovely front desk staff. Please check the alarm clocks first before your guests check in

However, I did kill a cockroach which I've never seen in my previous stay. Then on the 2nd to 4th night, the guest/s was noisy either jumping or running around at night. Then they played some thumping music. Their breakfast buffet is pretty good except for the nazi staff who gives a disapproving look as you get food. No personality at all. I checked out and then found out later on that they charged over $200 on my credit card when there should not be any charge at all. I called and the lady said that she would reverse the charge. Three days later and the charge is still there. I went in person to dispute the charge and the front desk that it might take longer to post on my credit card. I finally disputed the charge with my credit card and only then did a get a credit back.

First off the location is great for the parks, it's a doable walk when your feet are still fresh but if you're too tired they have their cute little trolley that drops you off and picks you up from the parks once an hour. It's a very quiet hotel, i've never had any noise issues staying there. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Another plus is the A/C's always work great and since they renovated they're in the ceiling so it cools a lot more evenly. They've got a pool and hot tub plus a small wading pool for the little tykes! They've really stepped up their continental breakfast as well. Lots of choices and great things to grab for snacks later inside the park. The staff is always phenomenal and friendly. From front desk, to maids, to groundskeepers and security guards everyone smiles and greets you when walking by. We like a specific area of the hotel and they almost always honor that and are very personable. The price is pretty comparable to other ones in the surrounding area when you factor in parking fees for them. My family is usually willing to pay a little extra for that Candy Cane Inn charm. More affordable than any Disney branded hotel but still that great Disney level customer service.
