Tucked away out of the way, The Dough Shed Pizzaria is one of those places you might drive right past if you're not paying attention. But once you find it, it's a solid local spot worth stopping for. (I would give it a 4.5 out of 5, but the app only let me choose 4 or 5.) We swung by for dinner around 7 p.m. and found plenty of seating--both tables and booths--so it's comfortable for small groups or larger parties. They can definitely accommodate big groups if needed, which is a big plus. They also offer ample outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. If you don't have time to sit down to dinner, they have a drive-through as well. As the evening went on, it got more crowded--the place definitely draws a good crowd, especially at prime dinner hours. Just a reminder: they close at 8, so timing your visit is key! The place was very clean, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and had our order ready pretty quick--definitely a highlight. They've got a ton of toppings to choose from--something for everyone. And here's a rarity: they have a buffet bar where you pay one price and can keep going back for more. That night, they had all-you-can-eat wings, but we went with a salad, cheese sticks, and a medium pepperoni pizza. The salad bar was well-stocked with baby spinach and spring mix, and there was a dedicated attendant making sure everything stayed fresh, clean, and topped off. Nice touch. Our cheese sticks and pizza came out promptly and tasted fresh -- the cheese on the breadsticks was pretty generous. The pizza was thin crust only, which I like, but I think it could have been cooked a little longer -- it wasn't quite as crispy as I prefer. That didn't take anything away from the taste, though; it still had good flavor. The variety on the buffet was solid, and it looked like they kept a steady rotation of different pizzas. As for drinks, the water tested at 36 ppm, well within safe drinking standards--no worries there. Overall, it's clear this place is a local favorite, especially during dinner hours. Everything's pretty much self-serve, but they do bring your pizza to the table if you order it that way. All in all, if you're looking for a no-fuss, tasty pizza joint without the fancy bells and whistles, The Dough Shed is a solid choice. Good service, good food, a clean environment, and a cozy local vibe -- just make sure you get there before they close!

Formerly Village Inn Pizza, The Dough Shed stuck with the salad bar & pizza buffet as well as some spaghetti and the day I went they had chicken & dumplings on the hot bar. They keep a variety of fresh pizzas coming out and fully stocked. Their 'cracker' crust is my favorite and veggie (onions, green peppers, etc.) and the cheese pies are my favorite and the fully stocked salad bar makes it easy to spruce up a plain slice of cheese if you so desire.

Ten inch Chicago style pizza from The Dough Shop with pepperoni and green peppers.

Great lunch having the buffet. A good variety of different types of pizza were available, good flavor, good crust. Lots of other items as well: pasta with meat sauce, macaroni, salad, potato salad, pasta, salad, etc. I also had dessert pizzas, cherry, and apple. Excellent price, and no waiting with the buffet! My wife also had the Chicago style deep dish, pizza, eight size. Lots of cheese, outstanding crust, plenty of toppings inside.

Nice salad, very good vegetable beef soup, homemade spaghetti sauce and pizza

Buffet $12.59 on Saturdays. Pizzas were constantly being brought out. All crusts looked the same, which makes me wonder if they are pre-made. It was ok buffet pizza. Salad bar was nice, with lots of options. Spaghetti sauce was homemade, and tasted pretty good. Homemade chicken-n-dumplings was definitely not as good as the vegetable beef soup. But the star of the show for me and my wife, was the vegetable beef soup. We enjoyed it the most.

The staff is very friendly. My friend got the bar. I got a gluten free pizza. I also got a to-go 16oz ranch dressing. It's amazing! :-)

We've visited this restaurant twice in the last month. If we were rating the food alone, it's a…read moresolid four stars--maybe even five for simple, well-done bar food. Unfortunately, the service brings our overall rating down to three stars. After our first visit, we thought the rudeness we encountered might have just been a fluke, so we gave it another try about four weeks later. Sadly, it wasn't. Both times, the hostess seemed visibly annoyed to seat us, as if helping customers was a burden. On our second visit, we didn't even bother with a table--we sat at the bar. Unfortunately, the servers on both occasions carried the same attitude, acting as though serving us was an inconvenience. The worst moment came when my wife asked the bartender a simple question: which sauce he preferred between two options. He actually laughed in her face, rolled his eyes, and replied with a snarky tone, "We make one in-house and the other is store-bought." She had to call him out by saying, "What's so funny? I don't work here, how would I know that?" Only then did his attitude shift, and while he became friendlier afterward, the first impression was already made. It's a shame, because the food is genuinely good. On our first visit, we had an Italian sandwich, a burger, and some boneless wings--all excellent. On our second visit, we liked the wings so much that we each ordered them again, trying several flavors. The only miss were the pub chips--nothing special there. Overall, if you're willing to risk unfriendly service, the food is worth trying. Maybe you'll catch the staff on a better day. To those about to dine--good luck!

Read carefully…read more.. Awesome wing joint. Good beer. Good prices. Great wings! However... beware. Cam, behind the bar, is a HOT MESS. He's batshit crazy! If asked, he'd say customers like me make him this way. I think it's in his soul! (Grin). Seriously, though, Cam and the rest of the staff make me feel at home here. Great little local haunt, and open late (for the mountains!). Maybe it's the crazy???!

Plenty of seating inside and out, with a really nice outdoor covered patio. Ordered some wings, an enormous fish n chips plate, and a few cold ones to wash it all down with. The wings were a bit underwhelming. I ordered them first and they came out 30 seconds later. They were most likely sitting there in the kitchen instead of made to order especially on a wing night. It showed since they were a bit chewy and not hot and fresh. Everything else was amazing. The fish n chips knocked it out of the park! I wasn't planning on ordering it, but after the 3rd plate of it went by I couldn't resist. 2 huge fresh, hot and crispy fish on top of their homemade chips. The fish was outstanding. Perfectly fried with that outer crisp and inner tenderness. I will have a hard time ordering anything else here. If you haven't had it here, get it for sure. With a fresh and made to order wings dish, this place is a 5 star review with no hesitation!
