[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is one of the restaurants where the air conditioning is both functioning, and also set to a temperature that offers some respite from the relentless swelter outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes, it's a hotel restaurant, it's not Le Bernardin, and the menu is not large, but they have all the essentials, including vital breakfast in the morning. The food is very good. They have a bar (I don't drink, but you probably do). You will not be disappointed. The people that work here, whether front of the house, or emerging out of the kitchen, are extremely nice and welcoming. Of course, it's Atlanta, so everyone is as friendly and kind as the weather is humid and hellish. Basically, Atlanta is like Opposite Boston. This restaurant is located inside of Hotel Indigo and in the heart of downtown which means that the accessibility to this place is not convenient at all. They have a parking deck nearby but honestly it's ridiculous. I called to confirm where I could park 3 times and no one picked up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering, it was beautiful overall. The interior was modern and sleek.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Margherita Flatbread and the Purple Lotus, and I was not amused. The sauce one the Flat bread lacked flavor so I had to ask for red pepper flakes and ranch. Which made it a little better. The drink was just an expensive Chili's cocktail. I came in and ordered the bolognese with sautéed spinach to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a beautiful bar located inside the Indigo Hotel, which is located next to the Peachtree Center MARTA station.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The service was phenomenal! My server Randy and the rest of the staff were very attentive and so kind! I was a little worried because the spinach looked pretty sad but I had the pasta and spinach the next day for lunch and it was really good! It was explained to me that the bolognese pasta was placed in a cardboard container to prevent the sauce from being absorbed by the container, which I thought was thoughtful. read more

Flying emotionally high from getting to have my picture taken shaking hands with the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Lech Walesa, I was not even sure I wanted to eat a late dinner. But I did - here. The name of the place drew me in. You need to understand that I am a retired engineer and did architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings on a real old fashioned drafting table. The one I worked on was 6 feet wide and 4 feet across. Built of solid oak, I could have used it for a bomb shelter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were no drafting tables that I would have expected. In fact, it was ultra modern, open and airy with a lot of chrome and mirrors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Joking with the manager, he said the majority of the complaints he gets are that there are no draft beers on tap. My order was the Shells Bolognese. Remember, I was excited and did not want a lot to eat. I got a lot to eat. But, I finished this dish with just water. Pasta was a nice al dente and the sauce was thick with almost more meat than tomato. It was not busy, in fact, I think Atlanta rolls up their sidewalks early. So the service was exceptional. For all the glitz and glamor, prices were reasonable, especially in a big city associated with an upscale hotel. read more

They were all pretty good, nothing special but good portion size and reasonably priced for the area, but I used my IHG free breakfast vouchers each time. It was pretty empty when I arrived. Didn't want to eat much after reviewing the reviews on Yelp. They have an A rating but failed on standards met when it came to insects and rodents! Also when we called to ask questions about parking etc. no one ever answered the phone! I called for two days straight at different times during the day, no answer. We stayed at the hotel, so we decided to try the restaurant in the hotel. We wanted to try the breakfast, and I made us reservations. Well, it seemed as though they were understaffed because it took a little while for us to get seated along with the people who were ahead of us. The two employees were trying their best to serve customers, clean off tables and seat guests. Once we were seated, we ordered waters to drink. I decided to order the western omelette with breakfast potatoes and toast. My food came out quickly even though we waited long to be seated, so I was happy about that! Service was friendly but there was a delay in getting silverware/salt and pepper/coffee refills despite only having a couple tables seated and plenty of staff. The breakfast was underwhelming. I've been to the bar a couple of times for dinner and cocktails, for my money, I prefer Ray's, next door. It's a nice place, pretty but dated architecture. I feel the restaurant management needs to make more of an effort, in terms of quality control for the food and staff. The food is hit and miss, I've been disappointed enough not to eat here when I stay, although the fettuccine Alfredo was good last time I stayed at Indigo. I only tried it because the bartender promised it was the best thing on the menu. The quality of cocktails depend on the bartender du jour, I had the worst Old Fashioned ever one night and the next night, a different bartender (who recommended the Alfredo) made one perfectly. read more

I came to meet some friends that were staying at the hotel. There was one server and one bartender so it was good that it wasn't crowded. The menu is basic but our food was tasty. We ordered apps and entrees. The service was sub-par. We had to ask for a lot of basic things such as more water, silverware, food that was missing. I would not come back except if I was staying in the hotel and didn't want to go out. read more

It's very pretty and clean. In all other ways it's the worst. The entrees are insanely high for what you get. The bill had an item we didn't order on it, and an entrée voucher we had was applied to an a la cart item instead of one of the 5 entrées my table ordered. We never got silverware. Only 1/3 of the table got waters even tho we all asked multiple times. $4 for coffee that never got refilled. It wasn't busy so I don't know . I stood up to ask for some things that we needed like plates and sugar for the coffee and the hostess got super annoyed at me but... we had waited and our food and drinks were getting cold, and I didn't know what else to do. There's a worker shortage for places that don't pay their ppl a living wage so seeing this place understaffed doesn't make me like it more, it just tells me it's a shitty place to work on top of being a shitty place to eat. Food is mediocre. Your safest best is the burger and fries or wings. This is not fine dining. It's bar dining. Antonio, not sure if he's a GM or kitchen manager, runs around this place screaming and berating the staff to the point it makes the customer uncomfortable. I've been staying at the Hotel Indigo where this is this only dining option onsite and he's extremely disruptive to patrons' dining experiences. We asked for a salad and pasta to be split -- Antonio would not allow it -- said the kitchen wouldn't do modifiers -- a staff member had placed a split salad order prior to this and he came out to the bar with two bowls of salad in his hands questioning the bartenders who submitted a modified order. His behavior is better suited for a Waffle House, not an IHG property restaurant. Be prepared for sub par food and service if he's around. Would not recommend. We were there last night and ordered vodka tonics which were served in short glasses half full with club soda instead of tonic water. Very pleasant server added bottled tonic water - thanks! Ordered medium rare sirloin which came out quite rare. Pleasant server nowhere in sight. If I'd waited for her to reappear, steak would've been cold so (I have a cast iron stomach) I ate the steak leaving one piece for for server to show chef. (2) Pork Chop w/ mash potatoes: pork chop was overall good, but a little dry 4/5. Mash potatoes were excellent so 5/5 because they whipped the mash. Huge mistake, it took forever to get sat down even though there were only 2 people sitting in the restaurant, while we ordered our food, our waiter was ignoring us talking to another employee there across the restaurant. It took forever to get our food, it wasn't prepared how we asked it to be but we were so hungry from waiting we ate it anyways. Go somewhere else if you're hungry. read more
