My bathtub was clogged. That was all. On the referral of a friend, I called the Drain Co. The woman who dispatched asked if it was a plumbing problem or a drain problem. This is important because the Drain Co. does not purport to be plumbers. I'm afraid that some people who rate the company on Yelp were hoping for that, even though the people who take the calls are incredibly clear. They will clear your drain. If there are plumbing problems they can give you referrals, but they don't deal with pipes, etc. A young man was at my house within the hour. How amazing is that? I read a review that described a man who didn't inspire confidence in the customer. This may have been the guy. He was soft spoken and a bit tentative in his manner. I said to myself, "awesome, I got that guy." Guess what? He went in there and did the job. Quickly, efficiently and I am now, once again able to take a shower in spite of the fact that I have thick long hair that over a few years clogged my drain. He suggested a better cover for the drain and I got one immediately. I have absolutely zero regrets about using the Drain Co. They got the job done, lightning fast, and the price was incredibly reasonable. If your drain is clogged, call them! read more

Came out with a more than a fair price, (I was used to 200.00) no upsells or baloney. My wife thinks she can put anything down the garbage disposal and it will go down. My plumbing problems began on Saturday night and I made calls on Sunday knowing it would be more expensive, but I nearly had a heart attack when the Roto Rooter guy told me it would be an additional $40 per guy, and $495 just to snake my system via the roof. That was not what I was led to believe on the phone, and it was already an hour and a half past when they said they'd show up, due to scheduling mistake on their dispatch part. So on Monday a friend suggested The Drain Company and Star's quote was way lower, back in the reasonable range. The time window for Tuesday morning was between 8 and 10am, the two guys showed up at 8:20am, did a quick and efficient job, were very professional and nice and were gone in under an hour. I liked them so much I made them breakfast. Since its an older house with invasive tree roots, I know I will need this service again in a year. They were perfect. We had a clogged drain in our only shower and after spending all Saturday trying to fix it ourselves, we finally called The Drain Co based on their stellar Yelp reviews. The Drain Co. inspected our sewage line prior to buying our new home. They found a small crack in the clay line and we completely forgot about it until it got worse. The "getting worse" part came in the form of sewage spilling in our front garden. We called a rooter company because we thought it was a clog. It turns out the pipe was broken and roots were completely blocking the line. The rooter company gave us a very high quote (several thousand dollars) to fix the issue. We called The Drain Co. with our original quote from a year ago and they said they would honor it. Today, two plumbers arrived to take care of the job. They excavated very carefully and removed a large section of pipe then replaced it. They were careful to replace everything back to the way they found it and the price was 1/3 of the quote from the rooter company. In the past I've used TDC for one of my facilities in Northridge and they did a great job then as well. They have a customer for life! read more
