I usually work with Kimmy who is really chill and has helped make great recommendations of accessories and different samples to try out. This visit I was blown away by how kind and professional Regina is! As I walked in she warmly welcomed me by name! I was absolutely shooketh and super appreciative of this (first time in my life this has ever happened) and by how much time she dedicated to let me pick my birthday candle and tell me about upcoming scents and events. My issue has been the attitude of the one specific person who was working each time I went. Pushy as heck every time, following me around and talking at my back as I look at products- if I wasn't in need of gifts I would've walked out immediately. I don't need to be hounded as I shop. Couldn't answer simple questions based on what she tried to explain to me: Me looking at a resin platter. Salesgirl: it's so pretty isn't it? Me: it is but it is uneven when laid flat and the handles are different on each side. Her: Oh it can be "warmed up and flattened so it isn't uneven" if u "leave it in the car" Me: umm huh? Her as she quickly walks away: yeah or heat it up in the oven and like press down on it on the countertop. Me: Ok so what temp can it be safely heated to? Her from behind the cash wrap: just heat it idk. So do you want it or not? Me: no thanks for that price ($200) I would want to know what "heated" means. Sounds like it isn't very possible to make it lay flat without knowing the specifics. Her: well then don't buy it. Me: yeah i definitely won't. I expected a nice reply like "Oh let me check with the Maker and get back to you" or "sorry I don't exactly know what i'm saying but our return policy is.. and here is how to contact the Maker." Still bought about $300+ of products on that visit but wrote this review in my head before leaving as she shot me eye daggers as she rang us up. Won't be in again if she is working. I found a really cute, simple necklace that was pretty yet unique along with some really nice earrings! Not exactly a matching set, but I bought them to not match. My niece loved them!! Easy $60 present and it was unique the lady behind the counter, even wrapped it in a cute little mesh bag. In all, I furnished two rooms with two couches, four armchairs, three ottomans, two rugs, one dining table, and eight dining chairs. Each piece was customized to fit the look and feel of the room. Frankly, there isn't another option I've found which hits this level of clean, effortless style and soft, durable surfaces. I needed one new hang standard to make my Elfa system accommodate multiple tasks. I first tried going to the Container Store in Palo Alto. The head Elfa woman at that store (Megan?) was extremely rude. I left frustrated and confused with what should have been a simple purchase. The next time I had business in the Bay Area, yesterday, I tried the San Jose location on Stevens Creek. OMG, night and day difference in experience! Becky retrieved the piece I thought I needed. When I commented that it looked different, she showed me the track and asked if it was the same as my track. Even though Becky has only worked for the Container Store for a few years, she is knowledgeable about the older, discontinued Elfa systems! We talked pleasantly about my options. I went home with the newer hang standard, which at least have slots that align to my older standards. Becky went out of her way to make sure I have her contact information. She even offered to put together a new system for me to just pick up, if I emailed her a picture of my current system with measurements. The entire interaction was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return to the San Jose Container Store and tell my friends! I am disabled and have an accent, but neither of those qualities make me stupid. I don't know why the woman in Palo Alto talked to me that way.

They were closed (2pm). so now, parts are all over the room with no resolution. i called the store, and they were clueless. They were actually quite rude regarding my situation. I spoke with a woman on a sunday afternoon-and she was annoyed that I was calling. The delivery guys were nice (not the fault of them) and they even mentioned this is the 3rd delivery with missing parts that they were provided. Horrible service!

I found these cute ceramic turtles that are hand painted in Mexico. They have an excellent selection of outdoor dishes and serving trays for the summer. Prices are good too. I bought a few rolls of wrapping paper. And decided on the teal colored turtle. Usually the check out line is very long. But I got lucky today. The line was short and I was all done in less than 5 minutes.
