Enjoyed some fine dining at this relaxed lounge located in our hotel The Tennessean. The service was fantastic, the staff was very attentive. So I had never had gin before but it sounded adult so I ordered the Gin City in honor of Kiss' last show and their song Cold Gin. Very tasty. Main course was the Panko Pork Milanese. Rustic and hearty, very well done . For desert a NY Cheesecake with a side of caramel and a side of strawberry sauce. They did it to perfection. Would most definitely recommend this place.

Very unique little bar and lounge situated on the second floor of the Tennessean hotel/residences. When you walk in, it looks like the inside of a living room you'd find in a luxury mansion. Couches, plush chairs, and small tables. There's only like 5 tables and only 1 or 2 that seat more than 2 people. It's the sort of place that just feels like a VIP room or private club. For that reason, at first, I wasn't sure if it was open to the public. We sat at a nice table by the window. Really enjoyed the food and appetizers. Although it's a limited menu, you could have a great date night here and feel like it's a very unique experience. Likewise, this would be a great place for a small business meeting. Definitely will be back.

Intimate, clubby space with a great menu and impressive cocktails! The service was very friendly. Great relaxed atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious, from charcuterie plate to Ceasar salad to filet. The Pineapple Express cocktail, their own creation, is one of the best cocktails I've ever had, not too sweet due to the inclusion of Amaro. I'm so glad we decided to dine here rather than in Market Square!

Coq Au Vin Blanc - the most delicious chicken meal I have ever had!

We decided to eat here while we stayed at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. You MUST get the chicken. It was the best chicken I have ever had. It takes a bit longer than most other items but when I ordered it, the bartender said it's worth the wait and she was not wrong. A week later and we are still here talking about how amazing that chicken was.

Wasn't sure how this would be as the don't take reservations and it's inside The Tennessean Hotel but since I was staying there, I thought why not. I was in town to see my daughter and son-in-law for Thanksgiving. Her birthday is a couple days after Thanksgiving, so we always celebrate while we're all together for the holiday. My daughter got the scallops or I should say scallop because there was only two tiny tiny scallops in the entire dish. That was kind of a bummer my son-in-law got the yard bird and said it was delicious. I personally got the Wagyu burger with fries. It was huge! And the fries were, good portion size. We got a bottle of the house Bordeaux and thoroughly enjoyed that all in all it was very good. Don't think we'd get the scallops together though. Service was excellent!

Service was a negative experience 6 employees working but could care less about guest waiting 30min. The delay is service kept us from having time to order food.

The burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the wedge was fresh, crisp, and exactly what we were looking for. Even though we arrived late, the service was excellent and never felt rushed. There was still a lively crowd, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The bar is especially impressive, with towering shelves stocked with an enormous bourbon selection, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.

After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.

This place was recommended to us and we would highly recommend it!…read more It's located in a cute market square in downtown Knoxville, TN - lots of booths and some tables. We dined on a Sunday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent and fast with many folks checking on us throughout our meal. The menu has sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fingers, ribs and more! It's definitely more focused on chicken. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, 3-piece chicken tenders and kids chicken and fries. Food arrived very quickly and was extremely hot and fresh! Chicken tenders were fresh and thin - a perfect combination. Fries and sweet potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft inside. We also had the greens and grits, which my husband raved about. A great southern fried restaurant was big portions and delicious food.

Myrtle's finally did, and now I'm questioning every church potluck of my childhood. Where has this been hiding all these years? The tomato pie comes out in a hot little crock with a golden, bubbling crust that smells like grandma's kitchen if grandma was a world-class baker. Think cheesy, creamy, savory layers over tomatoes that taste like they've seen sunshine and prayer. It's rich without being heavy and hits that perfect spot between home cooking and something a chef bragged about in culinary school. If you come here and don't order it, you're robbing yourself. The fried chicken tenders are solid, the tea fine, and the vibe feels like a casual local spot where you can relax after wandering around Market Square. Service was friendly and fine for a not-so-busy afternoon. Still, I'd go back just for that tomato pie. Honestly, I might plan a trip around it. If Myrtle's ever puts out a cookbook, I'd buy it just to see whether there's a secret ingredient or just generations of Southern guilt that kept this dish from me. Order the tomato pie. Trust me.

I learned that Knoxville hosted the 1982 World's Fair, so we walked around the old fairgrounds and then down to the river. Beautiful area and a perfect day to just hang out. At Calhoun's, I loved our waitress, sitting out on the deck, my blackberry margarita, and the chicken tenders with honey mustard. The bacon-wrapped burnt-end brisket was tasty too, although a little dry. Maybe that's just part of being burnt ends. Honestly, I thought most of our food leaned a little dry for me -- except those chicken tenders. Maybe in Tennessee, the barbecue sauce is supposed to do more of the heavy lifting. Either way, great food, great weather, great company, and a very good day all around.

I liked the sauce on the pork and the sunny side up egg brought a good amount of yolk into the dish. Everything mixed well with the sesame flavored cucumbers and jalapeños. I also had a bite of the smoked salmon from the power bowl and a bite of the chicken piccata. I normally don't like chicken piccata but the lemon and caper flavor did not overpower and the angel hair pasta was very soft. A bit on the pricier side for a lunch but I enjoyed what I had at Cazzy's. I hear both locations are very consistent as well.

We did not have any drinks but the offerings cover the local, standard and top shelf tastes. The staff is even invited to events to learn about food and drink parings. Lunch was grab and eat. It was very quiet becasue we were well past the lunch rush and before the early dinners. I needed something more than a salad or bowl even though several were tempting. Not always a burger guy, but a bison burger will draw my attention. You don't see bison much in TN. Delicious. Juicy enough I needed an extra napkin. The second reason I chose the burger was for the carrot fries. I don't ever remember having them before or even seeing them. Their good, no reason they can't be a replacemnt to traditional fries and they don't "sag" as much as sweet potato fries. In my case, the kitchen put potato fries on the plate rather than carrot fries. Our server, Daniel noticed it and brought out a separate plate with proper side. Great service there. Another upgrade is that seasoning on the fries. There are several different ones and they differ byt the dish and fry. It was fun to compare the difference on the plate. So, cazzy's is not at diner but a fine gastropub.
