Tupelo Honey has terrific ambience ... exposed brick walls, art and farm-to-table food. Their homemade honey pairs so well with fluffy Southern biscuits. Shrimp and grits with Bloody Mary--perfect! Sister had grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Shay, our waitperson, a joy. You must visit this Market Square restaurant by the Oliver Hotel.

Grilled Harvest Chicken for my continued birthday celebration.

We came on a very busy Saturday night (weekend of Dogwood Festival, theatre night, and prom night). Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!

My daughter had chicken and waffles and I had the fried chicken with a side of breakfast home fries. We were both very pleased with the quality of the food and the great service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean restaurant and would highly recommend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Soooo much goodness here! Off the rip, it's super busy on the weekends, so if you do go--go straight to the bar. We got a quick seat & service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes instantly take you back to Neaux Orleans and I'm here for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was better than what the pictures suggest. Parking is discounted with validation!

Staying and downtown Knoxville and coworker said this spot had delicious biscuits. I love biscuits . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute restaurant with friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant sits in a beautiful square lined with other restaurants and bars.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So this location is perfect for bar hopping. They are open 9am to 9pm and have breakfast all day! My food was delicious I had the bone in fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce. The biscuits were flaky, buttery and so good with the compote and the butter given. I think this is a chain so I'm adding it to my regular restaurant list,

Tupelo Honey was a great experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, with Southern comfort classics that really hit the spot. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic, and the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, making it a great place for brunch or dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Tennessee.

Hit and miss items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute ambiance, service was not great unfortunately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The first bites of biscuits were good until halfway became too buttery/salty, same with the breakfast potatoes became too salty after a few bites and the side order of sausage and gravy was inedible, wayyy too salty. The omelet was lackluster and the cherry tomatoes in it were sloppily cut, not halved or chunks but 90% whole tomatoes just thrown in. I did enjoy the ashville chicken and ranch sandwhich along side the Mac and cheese and okra.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The food service atmosphere were all amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely coming back next time. I'm in town. HIGHLY recommend the fried green tomatoes with grits and the fried chicken entrée Go with the original and get the two sauces on the side so you can get a sample of it all the flavors. For sides went with green beans, which were great and the brussels sprouts were amazing! Their old-fashioned was great too

Outstanding food and service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambience too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Were on the college visit. Would come here just for food.

Oh Tupelo, what a great memory you were. If you're a local or just wandering through Knox, you're likely going to stumble across Market Square. If you're not on Gay St. or in Old Town, this is basically the only other spot you want to be (with some exceptions). Tupelo is one of the good ones, where you can't really go wrong. We are people watchers, so of course we sat outside. As far as people watching, it doesn't get much better than Market Square. To be honest we went there for a drink at first. After losing control of ourselves we started getting random appetizers on the menu because they sounded irresistable. Things like the onion rings, which sound basic, were quickly realized as absolutely fantastic. Brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and of course the biscuits with blueberry jam. Especially after some top shelf margs... you'd be crazy not to try them. Big shout out to the servers there. Lizette especially took most excellent care of us, but the crew from the front to the back of the house we met personally, and took care of us like we were sitting at their kitchen table. I will miss all these folks on a personal and professional level. See you there next time! Go ahead and go now though, too.

Oh my, what an amazing place to walk in to. First off - it's gorgeous inside with fantastic lighting, and the decor is killer! But....we came to eat! We started with biscuits for a cause, as it only made sense! Perfect pairing to the main course, which I had the smothered chicken as it sounded amazing. I opted for the onion rings - which were amazing, and the mac&cheese for my sides - clearly not looking to move fast for the rest of the day. Everything was delicious, and our server was fantastic!

WOW! The foods are really tasty here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was grad day so the place was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mountain morning hash - I did not try but my son loved it. Fried green tomatoes and grits - sounds so simple yet super tasty. Shrimp and grits - yummy Honey dusted Fried chicken and fried Brussel sprouts- really good. Banana pudding- good [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect place for a brunch before heading over to the T basketball stadium for the graduation ceremony.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was recommended to us and we would highly recommend it!…read more It's located in a cute market square in downtown Knoxville, TN - lots of booths and some tables. We dined on a Sunday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent and fast with many folks checking on us throughout our meal. The menu has sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fingers, ribs and more! It's definitely more focused on chicken. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, 3-piece chicken tenders and kids chicken and fries. Food arrived very quickly and was extremely hot and fresh! Chicken tenders were fresh and thin - a perfect combination. Fries and sweet potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft inside. We also had the greens and grits, which my husband raved about. A great southern fried restaurant was big portions and delicious food.

The chicken was hot and fresh but the tomato pie was cold in the middle. When I say COLD I mean it was cold but the outside was hot, which was weird. I didn't even bother getting a replacement because I think things were taking too long. My cocktail never came out even after waiting 20 minutes. I guess the bartender just was having a rough night even though they weren't busy. The chicken was excellent though and had a great crust!

The burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the wedge was fresh, crisp, and exactly what we were looking for. Even though we arrived late, the service was excellent and never felt rushed. There was still a lively crowd, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The bar is especially impressive, with towering shelves stocked with an enormous bourbon selection, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I really try and not post bad reviews but this is one is needed after our experience last night…read more Please know that we have been to Stock and Barrel many times during our visits to Knoxville and always enjoyed our experience. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.
