My daughter had chicken and waffles and I had the fried chicken with a side of breakfast home fries. We were both very pleased with the quality of the food and the great service! Very clean restaurant and would highly recommend!

Staying and downtown Knoxville and coworker said this spot had delicious biscuits. I love biscuits . Very cute restaurant with friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The restaurant sits in a beautiful square lined with other restaurants and bars. So this location is perfect for bar hopping. They are open 9am to 9pm and have breakfast all day! My food was delicious I had the bone in fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce. The biscuits were flaky, buttery and so good with the compote and the butter given. I think this is a chain so I'm adding it to my regular restaurant list,

Hit and miss items. Cute ambiance, service was not great unfortunately. The first bites of biscuits were good until halfway became too buttery/salty, same with the breakfast potatoes became too salty after a few bites and the side order of sausage and gravy was inedible, wayyy too salty. The omelet was lackluster and the cherry tomatoes in it were sloppily cut, not halved or chunks but 90% whole tomatoes just thrown in. I did enjoy the ashville chicken and ranch sandwhich along side the Mac and cheese and okra.

Outstanding food and service. Great ambience too. Were on the college visit. Would come here just for food.

Half Fried Chicken dusted with their special seasoning, creamy mac with their cajun kick, and crispy Brussel sprouts.

Had dinner at Tupelo Honey in Market Square and it absolutely delivered. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and easily some of the best I've had. The real surprise, though, was the Brussels sprouts--perfectly crispy, seasoned just right, and completely addictive. Great Southern comfort food, generous portions, and a fun downtown Knoxville atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Oh Tupelo, what a great memory you were. If you're a local or just wandering through Knox, you're likely going to stumble across Market Square. If you're not on Gay St. or in Old Town, this is basically the only other spot you want to be (with some exceptions). Tupelo is one of the good ones, where you can't really go wrong. We are people watchers, so of course we sat outside. As far as people watching, it doesn't get much better than Market Square. To be honest we went there for a drink at first. After losing control of ourselves we started getting random appetizers on the menu because they sounded irresistable. Things like the onion rings, which sound basic, were quickly realized as absolutely fantastic. Brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and of course the biscuits with blueberry jam. Especially after some top shelf margs... you'd be crazy not to try them. Big shout out to the servers there. Lizette especially took most excellent care of us, but the crew from the front to the back of the house we met personally, and took care of us like we were sitting at their kitchen table. I will miss all these folks on a personal and professional level. See you there next time! Go ahead and go now though, too.

Oh my, what an amazing place to walk in to. First off - it's gorgeous inside with fantastic lighting, and the decor is killer! But....we came to eat! We started with biscuits for a cause, as it only made sense! Perfect pairing to the main course, which I had the smothered chicken as it sounded amazing. I opted for the onion rings - which were amazing, and the mac&cheese for my sides - clearly not looking to move fast for the rest of the day. Everything was delicious, and our server was fantastic!

WOW! The foods are really tasty here. It was grad day so the place was packed. Mountain morning hash - I did not try but my son loved it. Fried green tomatoes and grits - sounds so simple yet super tasty. Shrimp and grits - yummy Honey dusted Fried chicken and fried Brussel sprouts- really good. Banana pudding- good Perfect place for a brunch before heading over to the T basketball stadium for the graduation ceremony.

Walking around knoxville we were looking for a place to eat lunch. This place was busy when we walked by in the mmorning. After some shopping and sight seeing, my son decided to call for reservations. Thank God he did we had to wait about 15 minutes but will worth it. If you didn't have reservations you probably weren't going to eat there. Service was warm and welcoming. Food was delicious. Chicken is must have and bring your appetite. The portions are huge. We were able to eat outside so people and dog wathing was fun while eating. If we come back to this area we will be back. Everything was great. And don't forget your reservations.

My boyfriend and I visited Tupelo Honey in Knoxville, Tennessee for brunch and absolutely loved it. The food was fantastic from start to finish. You have to order the homemade biscuits with their selection of house-made jams -- they were phenomenal and honestly reminded me of my mom's homemade biscuits, which says everything. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared, with those warm, comforting flavors that feel like home. Even the coffee was amazing, which is always a big win for brunch. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, making it a perfect brunch spot. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Knoxville. Highly recommend!

Ate here for lunch on Tuesday Nov 2, 2025. We had a reservation, were seated promptly, and greeted right away. Lots of great options on the menu--I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken and the poblano chicken soup. Both were delicious. Friendly, efficient service and a comfortable vibe. I'll definitely swing by again next time I'm in Knoxville.

I really, really enjoyed this place. Great atmosphere. We had seats by the window so we could people watch. I had the Smothered Chicken with the gravy on the side. Excellent fried chicken thighs. Roasted Brussel sprouts were on point and the most delicious fried potatoes. Crispy with parmesan and rosemary. Absolutely loved them. My wife got the shrimp and grits. The flavor was good. She thought that it was a little greasy with the chorizo, but I liked that darn grease! Our friends had the honey dusted chicken and the chicken strips with mac and cheese. They liked their plates. We all tried the fried green tomatoes over grits. Very good!

Food is pretty good overall. Chicken was decently crispy, and salmon was perfectly cooked. The Brussel sprouts were kinda dry and salty, not sure I would get those again. I enjoyed the crispy potatoes a lot. The gravy on my smothered chicken was slightly seasoned. Caesar salad was okay. We also had drinks. The house lager was nice and light, their seasonal apple cider tini was refreshing and light, and the Bloody Mary was decent. 8.8/10 overall experience. Service was alright and the ambiance is well lit and cozy. Would come back again

This is the place that officially made me a fried chicken fan -- and no fried chicken has ever come close to Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken! Address: 126 Lovell Rd, Farragut, TN 37934 Food: 6/5 My go-to meal is the 3-piece Chicken Tenders with French Fries and Baked Beans, with an added Chicken Breast. Gus's chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. It's perfectly cooked with an incredible crunch on the outside, while staying moist and juicy on the inside. The spices are absolutely delicious! I've been here over 15 times, and the consistency has always been amazing every single visit. The baked beans are also the best I've ever had. The French fries are seasoned perfectly with a great crunch while still having a fluffy texture inside. ‍Service: 6/5 The service at Gus's is top tier. Every server treats each table like they're the most important customers in the building. Special shoutout to Daisy -- the last few times I've visited, she has been my server, and she remembers me every time. She even knows my order by heart now! She is genuinely one of the nicest and best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. Atmosphere: 5/5 I absolutely love the vibes at Gus's. I always feel right at home whenever I walk in. The design and menu perfectly match the restaurant's personality, and the place is always clean with plenty of comfortable seating. Value: 5/5 The prices and portions are both an A+ for me. I ordered extra food this time, but you can easily get a fantastic and affordable meal here. Final Thoughts I absolutely love Gus's, and it will forever be one of my go-to spots before going to a movie. This is some of the best fried chicken you will ever have -- if not #1, then easily Top 3 of all time. Bring your family, let Daisy take care of you, and enjoy an incredible meal! I felt it was kind of tough and not crispy enough. Like a dark, over-fried version. Sides were okay. I like that they had collard greens. Goes well with chicken. Overall: Seems way overhyped. I like CM Chicken better. For Southern style, I've had better as well.
