I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. Always a fan. The first location we went to was in Chattanooga and we fell in love with the Shrimp and Grits. This time around my husband got that, and I tried the chicken and waffles... and it was outstanding. I had one of their mocktails as well and it was super tasty. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy on the rainy evening it had turned into. Overall we enjoyed our experience and it was a wonderful way to have our last dinner out in Knoxville. I ordered chicken tenders, fries, waffles and biscuits. The fries were perfect, something you could write home about it. Definitely the overachiever of my order. Battered and fried to perfection. The biscuits tasted just like mom's biscuits but way larger and more for your buck. The waffle could've been a tad bit sweeter but it showed up and clocked in and got the job done. We ordered this To-Go via Uber Eats on the 4th of July and I was overall satisfied with our meals. I order the chicken and waffles, which happened to be on BOGO. The waffles were fluffy and light and the chicken had a light and sweet breading, although I do wish they were a bit crispier and more savory to pair with the dish. I also ordered some fried green tomatoes. In restaurant they are normally served over a bed of cheese grits, they came on the side more me. These were fantastic and were absolutely something I'd get again. My wife ordered the salmon, and although steep at an Uber Eats price of $28, the seasoning and cook on the salmon was ON POINT. Ambiance inside is nice, food is so-so. Pulled pork with salt a little too salty. Serving would have been generous until I checked the receipt (unfortunately after leaving). Some of us specifically ordered 2 for $22 weekday deal but we were charged full price. That's almost $30 added on the check! Thought you only see this in reels but it's real! The menu looks fun, the ambiance is cool, the location is also great but!..... my first experience was brunch and my poached eggs might as well have been hard boiled eggs and then it took an uncomfortably long time to get the server's attention to ask for a new set . The next set of poached eggs was fine but by the time I got them the rest of my food was cold and the folks I was dining with were pretty much done eating. Oh Tupelo, what a great memory you were. If you're a local or just wandering through Knox, you're likely going to stumble across Market Square. If you're not on Gay St. or in Old Town, this is basically the only other spot you want to be (with some exceptions). Tupelo is one of the good ones, where you can't really go wrong. We are people watchers, so of course we sat outside. As far as people watching, it doesn't get much better than Market Square. To be honest we went there for a drink at first. After losing control of ourselves we started getting random appetizers on the menu because they sounded irresistable. Things like the onion rings, which sound basic, were quickly realized as absolutely fantastic. Brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and of course the biscuits with blueberry jam. Especially after some top shelf margs... you'd be crazy not to try them. Big shout out to the servers there. Lizette especially took most excellent care of us, but the crew from the front to the back of the house we met personally, and took care of us like we were sitting at their kitchen table. Walking around knoxville we were looking for a place to eat lunch. This place was busy when we walked by in the mmorning. After some shopping and sight seeing, my son decided to call for reservations. Thank God he did we had to wait about 15 minutes but will worth it. If you didn't have reservations you probably weren't going to eat there. Service was warm and welcoming. Food was delicious. Chicken is must have and bring your appetite. The portions are huge. This was my first time in a Tupelo Honey restaurant and will DEFINITELY NOT be my last (like The Kennedy!) The restaurant was clean, neat and very well organized! Our server got to our table immediately and got us our coffee and waters right away. We ordered the Biscuits, Classic Chicken and Waffles and an Omelette. All I can say is that the food was AWESOME! Hot, Fresh, flavorful and delicious! Completely on point with flavor and without a doubt would order again, except for the fact that now I want to try everything else on the menu!! My only complaints are that our coffee cups went empty twice and I had to flag our server down for refills both times with their very tasty coffee and the butter served with the biscuits was still rock solid frozen. While I really do like this place I have to say that I find it very overpriced for what you get. $25 for half a chicken is really expensive for something that you could do yourself and much better at home. The food is good yes but the pricing and somewhat mid-level ambience take away from that. If you're downtown and you're craving southern food yes it's a very good option although I would recommend Southern grit over tupelo Honey any day -you get more bang for your buck. First time at Tupelo Honey and it did not disappoint! It was really packed on a Tuesday at 6 PM so I knew that was a good sign! Very cozy and great ambience. We ordered the pimento cheese as an appetizer, shrimp and grits for me and a chicken sandwich for my friend. Was kind of odd, but our entrees came out within minutes, less than 5. Was a huge surprise, so maybe their entrees are all pre-made and set up to just be re-heated? However, it was still really flavorful and good. Bronson, our server, who was super kind and friendly, apologized for the food coming out so quick and much before our appetizer. Really nice of him to do that. We did end up getting the pimento cheese and chips, and it was pretty good. Have had various types of pimento cheese dip, this one was a bit chunky, almost like a tuna salad.
