Battery was temporarily installed incorrectly by their technicians (reverse polarity during…read moreservice). Right after leaving, my car wouldn't start. An electrician later confirmed a blown main fuse consistent with an electrical fault during installation. We returned to the store and they denied everything. Very disappointing experience for a basic battery installation service.

David the "Customer service rep" is ignorant, rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I called…read moreabout a gas cap and was told it was there. When I showed up it was not. I then called a few weeks later and asked for a different part and was told it was there. I asked if they could double check and I was told it was there again without him checking. Meanwhile other places are perfectly fine doing so. I decided to get the park from a closer store and when I got there it was the wrong connection for my vehicle. I called the store and David picked up again. He asked if I was the same person from earlier and I said yes because I thought he was trying to help me. I asked he could check a specific connector and I was told to check myself online. I went to the store and when asking giving the part number, David said "oh, so your miss ___" and started to talk down to me. He said that the parts online match what's in store and I can check the connector online. I told him what happened previously and he did not respond to me but turned to my boyfriend and addressed him kindly. The part was luckily correct but when David went to check for it, it was in the wrong spot and he could not find it. He continued to speak down to me with no response from me. He said "I don't want this girl to be angry" multiple times. I ignored him, payed and while leaving I was told "I'm glad you're finally happy this time." Again, I have not said anything since he came back with the part. David was extremely respectful to my boyfriend and answered all his questions but was hostile with me. I was nice on the phone and can only think that he has a problem with women. This was an awful experience that will sit with me every time I enter an AutoZone. Is disappointing he is a 'customer service rep.'

Located on Benoist Farm Road in West Palm Beach, this place is interesting to say the least. It is…read morewhere dead cars go to have their bones picked clean. You need to go with a knowledgeable mechanic and tools in order to retrieve parts from the cars. From time to time I get sucked in to going to lend some muscle. There is another LKQ in Ft, Lauderdale and having been to both, they are equally miserable. There are junkyards that pull the parts for you but this junkyard is in the you pull it category. You can look online to see the car inventory and vehicles are arranged in rows. Parts go fast so you really need to hit the cars when they first enter the yard. You need to bring your own cart or wheelbarrow to haul your parts. They check your toolbox before you enter and there is a $3 admission per person. In addition to tools and some way to haul your stuff I highly recommend water. There is zero shade on the lot and you will feel like you are baking alive. An umbrella for shade and rain is a good idea too. They do have some snack and drink machines. As soon as you step into the yard, the smell of vehicle fluids smacks you in the face. I can't describe it but it always makes me feel sick. The ground is a dry dirt that covers your shoes and legs. That is until the rain comes and then you are walking in mud. Despite the heat, smell, and dirt I always find the cars interesting. A lot of them are here because of accidents. You can see the deployed airbags and the perfect circles where heads have smacked the glass. I have never seen it but I have heard stories of remnants of flesh left behind. A walk around here reminds you to buckle up. The accident cars usually have personal effects left behind. They are towed from the scene and sold to the yard and the owners never see their cars again. Car seats, hats, and paperwork are common to see. There aren't any restrooms or port a potties on the lot, so one thing I have seen is the backside of gentlemen relieving themselves. Once you find a car with parts you like it is up to you to pull them off. Sometimes you will see someone already working on the car you want. I believe the correct junk yard etiquette is you can look over the car while they are working on it but do not start on it until they are finished. My least favorite part of the visit is trying to haul heavy car parts back to the front to pay. I always leave covered in sweat, dirt, and God only knows what else. They do have a return policy which requires you to have your parts marked before you leave, I saw in previous reviews that people have complained about how they were treated here but that has never been the case with me. Everyone who works here has been exceedingly kind to me but then again I just tag along. I never argue with them about prices. If you need to save money and you have the skills, this is the cheapest way to get car parts.
