This was my first time here. We came for a celebration in a large group. Our server Lauren couldn't have been nicer. We had two tables worth of people, and she consistently checked on us and made sure that our drinks were refilled. Service could not have been better. I will definitely be back.

The Bloody Mary was wonderful, the service was great, and our server was awesome. Overall just a really nice chill spot with a good vibe. Would definitely come back.

I was really happy with the friendly service, the food was great too. We had the fish tacos which were true to San Diego in fabulous quality. It's sit down and nice, invites you to take your time and enjoy. I'd recommend!!

Came here for Galentines Brunch. I got the Dagwood Sandwich (bottom of picture). The sandwich was great. The bread was extremely crispy and buttery. The cheddar cheese melted greatly with the eggs. Avocado was fresh. The potatoes could've used more spices and flavors though. The mimosas we had were soooo good. We got Guava and Orange Juice with our champagne. Overall good time, you always kinda know what you're getting into at Duck Dive. It delivers

A perfect spot for great food and bottomless mimosas with your friends! Came here with a party of 4 on a Sunday Food 5/5: I got the dagwood sandwich and if you like garlic bread, this is a must! The flavor was phenomenal and paired well with the side of potatoes. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict and he enjoyed it as well. I really enjoyed how they gave guava juice and orange juice for the mimosas. My mango cocktail was super strong though which unfortunately is just not my cup of tea but the presentation was great. Service and ambiance 4/5: We sat out on the patio which was a pretty cramped space. Service was quick and they had another bottle of champagne ready for us right as we finished one. I overall will be coming back and highly recommend this spot!

We have been coming here for years, especially for the weekend bottomless mimosas. They have great brunch, fun drinks and we just discovered they have Oysters Rockefeller! Definitely a PB staple. It can get crowded on weekends and evenings with lots of young, college kids, but during the week is a bit quieter.

Duck dive really lives up to the hype. This sandwich was absolutely fantastic and enough to feed two people. I had an espresso martini (or something along those lines), and really enjoyed it. This place is always busy and it's nice to know that despite the crowd, they still keep up the quality.

Perfect place for a weekend brunch with a group of friends. Best to make reservations ahead of time or it could take an hour or more to be seated. Favorite place for bottomless mimosas as they provide bottles for the table instead of serving glass by glass. Depending on how busy it is service could be a little slow and could take a little while to receive food.

Went during a padres game, it wasn't super busy. We got seated right away and our drinks came within 5 minutes. Overall everything was okay, I would say our service was better than the food. The shrimp tacos were unseasoned/had little to no flavor. The fries were nice and crispy, but didn't hold the garlic or the Parmesan. They do have a great drink menu, and their specials on game days are pretty solid.

My friend picked out Duck Dive for brunch- it was close to our VRBO and he's a fan of unlimited mimosa brunch. We didn't make a reservation but didn't have to wait long for a nice outside patio table during peak brunch hours to accommodate our party of 8. Seems like this place was always busy even outside of brunch hours. If you opt for unlimited mimosas, you have 2 hours and must order an entree - so you're looking at ~$40ish for a meal before tips. You also must wear a wristband. Pro tip- they do not charge large parties to pay a large group surcharge like some places do around town. #GoodForGroups Our server Lauren was amazing, and it was nice to chat with her especially since she used to live in AZ. She definitely kept an eye on those champs bottles when we needed a refill (PTL, it wasn't the cheap Korbel champagne). Food came out hot and hit just the spot for all of us- most ordered a brunch bowl or something breakfast specific. My chicken fingers were some of the best I've ever had.. even better than the Lord's Chicken.

Come for the bottomless, stay for the food Duck Dive is a go to bottomless spot in San Diego, and for good reason! Such a fun atmosphere with pretty much every table doing bottomless, they bring over bottles of champagne and mixers so you're never waiting for a refill. The food was also phenomenal, the eggs Benedict hit the spot and I also tried the PB French toast with was delicious. A great option for a fun boozy brunch

Great food, good price and great service! We loved our food here and our attentive server. We tried calamari, burger, fries, and tacos and it was amazing! A lot of seating and spacious as well. Wonderful ambiance and airy as well. Highly recommend! :)

Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. When I entered the restaurant around 7:00 PM, I was stopped and questioned extensively by security regarding my service animal. Rather than being asked the limited ADA-compliant questions permitted by law, the interaction became prolonged and uncomfortable while staff repeatedly attempted to determine whether my dog was a "real" service animal or simply an emotional support animal. I remained waiting at the entrance while this was repeatedly discussed back and forth. What made the situation especially humiliating was that another patron openly laughed at me during the interaction while walking outside for a cigarette. I later realized this same patron had her own dog inside the establishment in a stroller the entire time. Staff members appeared very familiar and comfortable with her, and multiple employees, including my waitress- referred to her as a "regular." Although her dog was eventually moved to the patio area, the contrast in how the situations were handled made me feel singled out, embarrassed, and unfairly scrutinized. I later spoke with management in hopes of resolving the matter respectfully. During that conversation, I was surprised and concerned to hear that neither management nor staff were familiar with psychiatric service animals or their protections under the ADA. Psychiatric service animals are legally recognized service animals when trained to perform disability-related tasks, and this lack of awareness was deeply concerning, especially in a city like San Diego with a large disabled and veteran community. I fully understand that businesses are allowed to ask limited ADA-compliant questions regarding service animals, and I also understand that many establishments have dealt with individuals falsely claiming pets as service animals. However, there is a significant difference between appropriately verifying a service animal and making a disabled customer feel publicly interrogated and humiliated. The overall handling of this interaction lacked professionalism, sensitivity, and basic understanding of ADA service animal protections. No customer should feel mocked, scrutinized, or publicly embarrassed simply for entering a restaurant with a legitimate service animal. I sincerely hope this situation can serve as an opportunity for additional ADA education and proper service animal training for staff moving forward so that other disabled guests do not experience similar treatment. I would appreciate being informed of any steps the restaurant intends to take regarding ADA compliance and staff training before I determine how I would like to proceed further. Thank you for your time and attention.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness! Whether I'm popping into the Golden Hill spot or making a stop while visiting friends in IB, the result is always the same: consistently great pizza and zero regrets.
