We opted to share the tropical French toast special and in hind sight, I think she may have been trying to steer us away from it and get the creme brûlée French toast special because she has so many details about that, but unenthusiastic about the tropical. If that's the case, she was spot on. The French toast had no flavor and extremely dry, they tried to toast coconut on top and it was overdone. Fruit choices are sometimes limited. Drinks always good and so is the view. Eat Oceanside or get items to go and find a spot on the beach or park. read more

If you don't mind the little ride till antenna it's a great place, it's on the water so it's a great View it was warm however there are fans blowing all over the place and we had a nice table and we had a great server, k a l a n. Our friends arrived our drinks were brought right over along with menus and we ordered. The food was delicious and large enough to take half home. We hadn't been here in years, but not much had changed. Still packed on a Sunday morning (40 minute wait). Still beautiful view overlooking the ocean (better on the back, higher deck). The service was very accommodating. It was so hectic - but the people who work here are very pleasant. Breakfast is served all day on Sunday, thankfully, because we weren't seated until after 12:00. Several in our party had the French toast special and it looked very inviting - covered with cream and drizzled chocolate. I had the avocado toast which came with a beautiful fruit cup but the avocado was mixed with something looking more like a jelly. It was fine but I would have preferred just mashed avocado. As soon as you walk up to the host stand you are warmly greeted by staff and a view of the ocean. We chose a table next to the boardwalk that gave us a beautiful view of the water. Even though we live here in paradise, I felt like I was on vacation, so I ordered one of the specialty cocktails. As it was brunch, the menu was filled with delicious options. I was in the mood for eggs Benedict, so I just needed to decide which of the several different types of eggs Benedict they offered. I settled on the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which were amazing. My girlfriend had the shrimp and steak skewers, which of course I had to try. Sooo good. The servers were attentive and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My partner and I visited Dune Deck Cafe on a Saturday afternoon. We paid for beach parking & ascended the stairs. I thought my husband was exaggerating when he said the cafe was right on the water. The cafe is literally one staircase away from the beach. The view was breathtaking & we took a stroll along the beach after our meal. The service was okay, not great. I understand the vibe of a beach cafe, but I asked to order a half stack of pancakes or a half order of French toast or a kids meal because I wanted to taste the French toast & pancakes without committing to the full entree & sides that come with it. The waitress told me that was impossible & took no efforts to accommodate me. I finally decided on the Dune Burger & my partner had the eggs Benedict. The burger was perfect! I put it in the oven later in the evening & it was good again. The eggs Benedict was also delicious and fresh. Portions are good but some of the stuff can be a bit overpriced for what you get, enter 17.50 avocado toast. Good lawd. We got the chocolate chip Pancakes which were good along with fried calamari. I visited Dune Deck in Lantana while spending time with a guest who was visiting from out of town. We were enjoying our meal and conversation when our waiter repeatedly returned to the table in a way that felt rushed and uncomfortable. Although my guest had not even finished her food, the waiter came back multiple times asking if we were "okay," but the tone and demeanor came across as sarcastic and as if we were being pressured to hurry up and leave because there was a line outside. Shortly after that, another server--who was not even our assigned waiter--approached our table and asked if everything was okay and whether we were ordering more food. When we said no, the interaction again felt like we were being subtly pushed to leave. Because the situation felt increasingly uncomfortable, I asked to speak with a manager. The individual I spoke with stated she was the owner. Her name is Daisy. I calmly explained what had happened and asked if there was a time limit for tables. She stated there was no time limit but said that the line outside was long and that it should be understood that once you finish eating, you should leave. While I understand restaurants can be busy, the manner in which we were repeatedly approached and rushed created an unwelcoming atmosphere. Guests should be able to finish their meal and conversation without feeling pressured or unwelcome. After reading other reviews, it appears others have had similar experiences, which is very concerning. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment. read more

I ordered a Heineken that I didn't even drink due to the manager/waiter speaking over it when I made my complaint. My girlfriend likes to come here on her birthday every year . She ordered a homemade corned beef hash and she said hers was good ! My other friend ordered the Dune burger and said hers was also good . I decided on trying the beef and lamb gyro with fries . In one picture I posted a close up of the inside of my gyro it literally contained 4 slices of lamb and beef! Very dry . Says on menu the meat is marinated ! Didn't see any marination on the meat . . Usually this meat is put on a skillet to crisp up the sides but mine was not. I talked to the waitress about my not liking the gyro and she took it off the bill . Staff was pleasant and accommodating. I already know what I'm going to get next year for her birthday!! The Dune Burger will be my pick ! When I want a gyro I will just go to Chris Taverna ! I went here yesterday for breakfast/lunch. I usually get their hamburger because it's the best I've found anywhere but yesterday I ventured out to breakfast. I had the homemade corned beef hash with 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, whole wheat toast, slice of cantaloupe, lettuce and tomato. The hash really is fresh and not greasy. Everything was fresh, as usual. Their attentive service comes with a smile, always. (Can you tell this is my favorite place to eat?) I made a pig of myself and ate all my food. This restaurant is open air under cover and overlooking Lantana beach. The views are gorgeous. There's also a few local birds flying through. We were entertained watching one steal a single serve butter tub from an empty table. Parking here is Lantana Beach parking with a kiosk to pay using your parking space and a credit card. Handicap parking now has no charge. read more

The location is always the best right on the beach. The food is excellent but a bit pricy. This is one of our favorite breakfast places.

This is a slice of key west right in lake worth! It may not be a 5 star dining experience, but it's a laid back flip flop type of joint that makes it the perfect spot to grab a bite on a beach day. Located directly off the beach, you can watch the waves crash while sipping your coffee. They even offer coffee with Baileys or a liqueur or your choice ! My friend decided to do a birthday breakfast here solely because of location. I would have been happy with just a coffee and the views, but man am I happy I splurged. I ordered the crab cake Benedict and it was superb. The crab was fresh and tender, and everything else was cooked to perfection. Their Benedict sauce was incredible, too! Now my friends went with their more popular choices. The chocolate chip pancakes were a real hit. My personal favorite was definitely the pumpkin waffle my friend ordered. I couldn't resist the temptation of pumpkin seeds and whipped cream! It was just the right amount of pumpkin without being overwhelmingly sweet. I highly recommend this spot if you are getting ready to hit the beach, or feel like a beach day without the sand. It's a casual restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff. Coffee was very fresh for late in the afternoon. The grilled calamari was done excellently and the spinach with it was a bit overcooked. The pita was a bit undercooked. Mmmmmm how does that work? The Dune Deck Cafe (DDC) is the epitome of not judging books by their covers. This divey looking beach bar with a diner attached to it doesn't look like much but the DDC folks sure know how to serve up Southern hospitality and delicious food. DDC's menu runs the gamut of Greek Country Salad and to hot dogs and everything in between. So we ordered the aforementioned salad and hot dog, respectively. We also added a fairly typical Turkey club and we prayed for the best. The food arrived after an acceptable wait. Everything we ordered was delicious and well prepared. On my travels I observed that typically there's a trade-off between amply portioned offerings and quality--but not at DDC. Staff was excellent: prompt, pleasant and professional. Not a surprise that this family owned and run establishment of restauranteurs are delivering the goods.
