    Reuben with gazpacho
    Allison K.

Went here for a nice lunch with my family. They have changed and updated the menu. They now do breakfast or lunch all day. I got the Reuben on their homemade bread and the fried egg sandwich, and split them with my family. We also got the sandwich and soup special (Reuben and gazpacho). The table was wheelchair accessible. Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing. The food was delicious. The homemade rye bread was very good. This was my first Reuben, and it was delicious. The fried egg burger was made perfectly. The gazpacho came with croutons and other toppings. Overall it was a very good lunch, and a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try some of their new breakfast menu items that looked delicious.

We've been coming to place but I haven't done a review. We had several dishes and every bite tasted great. Eggs Casino: Their twist on classic Eggs Benedict was fantastic. Perfectly poached eggs, hearty ham, fresh tomato, and that signature sauce really brought it all together. Morning Super Star: Comfort food done right. It came with crispy hash browns smothered in melted cheese, topped with basted eggs, fresh tomatoes, and toast. Hawaiian Omelette: Loaded with sautéed veggies, topped with a rich cheese sauce, and finished with a grilled pineapple garnish. Deliciously unique. Nova Bagel Platter: A classic combo done with fresh, quality ingredients--creamy cheese, ripe tomato, red onion, and just the right touch of capers. Short Stack Pancakes: Fluffy, golden, and just the right amount of sweet. A perfect side or dessert to share at the table. Each plates came with a slice of watermelon and cantaloupe which both are pretty refreshing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and fast, even during a busy morning. We'll definitely be back.

I have limited experience at this establishment, but every time I come here for breakfast, they did not disappoint. Good food, good service, and a nice place to have breakfast with friends and family. Very efficient seating and ordering process. Overall, great experience.

2022 4. Raisin Cream Cheese French Toast vs 2025
    Kailey M.

I have been coming here for 25 years and I am deeply disappointed in my most recent visit. The prices have continued to go up (which I understand). But the quality and quantity of the food has dramatically decreased. I recently came back to John gs to get the cream cheese stuffed French toast that has been my go-to order. When they placed my food down on the table I was appalled. The difference is inexcusable. I understand that with covid and the change of management there have been changes here. But they kept up with the size of the food even after they changed owners... that is until today. The photos I included show 2022 vs 2025. Even my photo I took last year looks like the 2022 version. I'm so sad to say that after recommending this place to everyone I know, I don't think I will be returning after being a loyal customer for 25 years.

Eggs Benedict with lox was great. Loved crispy home fries. Why raw onion on it?

So happy we finally got a chance to visit Coastal. I love their menu selections, fresh seafood, and great service.

You do have to pay for parking in the municipal lot if you don't have a resident decal. It's not too much though. My server was new but very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. She even caught an error with my order before I did! They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. They had a lot of specials on the board too. I decided to try the shrimp club special. It had whole grilled shrimp on sun-dried tomato ciabatta with mixed greens, tomato and bacon. The chipotle aioli was too spicy for me. It was delicious but took away from the sandwich. Obviously it's a personal preference so if you can't handle spice, ask for something else or at least get it on the side. They put a lot on. It made the bread slightly soggy by the end. The tomato was fresh. The greens were wilted from the dressing. The grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly. It was a little different to eat with them being whole but it worked. The ciabatta was very flavorful. I'm not usually a fan but it was soft and really held up to all of the sandwich fillings. The fries were nice and crunchy on the outside. They gave me regular fries instead of sweet potato fries but the server brought out a small plate of sweets for me. If you like sweet potato fries then order these! They were much better than the regular ones. I enjoyed the coleslaw. Perfect portion size and balanced flavors. I tried the key lime pie martini. Definitely not worth it for the price. I didn't get much alcohol out of it. Great presentation though! Oh and I ordered the conch fritters appetizer to go. I wanted to try them but knew I couldn't eat them and my sandwich. You get 6 big fritters. I can see these being super filling before an entree. The conch was tender but they were doughy - a typical fritter. I wish they had cracked conch.....

The tallow fries tasty but I liked the regular ones better. But basically everyone loved all the fries. Entrees were just mediocre. The French dip would, have been nice but the beef was too thick and overcooked and the roll was thick and doughy. The cheese shouldn't be on a French dip at all, but even more so when it was congealed and not melted. Skip this one. The tacos were decent though. The snapper was really good but a little overcooked and seriously over salted. No room for dessert. Love the bar because they accommodated a silly pisco sour request with a humorous creative twist! So yes the food is uneven but I actually would go back because the apps were great, the cat was cute, the bar was clever and our server Liam was just the best.
