We've eaten there twice. I would say its just average. The hostesses and wait staff seem very inexperienced. I think the menu is a bit too expansive and diverse. They should probably narrow it down to what they do best. They food has been average. Dumplings and Gyoza were good. Soup was lukewarm. Sushi was just ok. Entrees were barely warm both times we ate there and not piping hot. Servers are slow and again seem inexperienced. Drinks consistently come out late. Entrees came out at the same time as soup. We didnt have enough place settings one time. Another kept passing our table asking if everything was ok and didnt make any effort to take away used dishes that were piling up until we asked them to take them away. We had one missed order one time and one wrong order another time. We are a family of 4 (Mom, Dad and two kids under 10) and server asked if we wanted separate checks. Then she told us thank you and have a good night and I had to remind her that she hadn't run our credit card yet. Also, hostess gave our 6 year old a regular menu with the drink menu. I think there are better options for asian food in the area (Wild Ginger, Jasmine). We haven't tried take-out from here so I hope they do better with that. read more

No plastics ware (they could have asked whether I need it or not) on top of that, they charge 10% service order? Really? I understand food prices are up now. I also support small businesses. Just found this place yesterday... didn't know it existed because it's a bit secluded (a plus in my opinion but perhaps not too good for business) and therefore not visible from main thoroughfares, but I did a search for "best Thai restaurant in Franklin and Eastern Peak popped up. This hidden gem of a restaurant has three things going for it. The first thing you notice is the amazing décor and ambiance which enhance the entire experience. Secondly, the staff are unobtrusive yet very courteous and always right there when you need them. Finally, the ample portions of perfectly prepared and plated Thai cuisine were a genuine delight. I showed up as a last minute walk in when it was super busy and despite how busy her section was, My server Jordan (maybe spelled Jordyn?) was so attentive and efficient. I usually get the pad Thai but she suggested I tried the drunken noodles instead and a "Tokyo mule" cocktail. It was by far the best meal & best service I've had in a long time! Group of 6 just walked into Eastern Peak. The main restaurant was fairly full (no one at the bar). They could not support us bc they only had one server and another person helping out. If you don't have enough staff to serve, close your doors till you can provide proper service. The female manager could have gotten off her butt to help serve as well but was too busy sitting in a booth hanging out. Btw, we love the Eastern Peak in Bellevue. read more

Edamame was really good but otherwise the food wasn't good and they practically pushed us and everyone else out of the restaurant at 8pm on a Friday. We sat a little after 7 and by 8 they stopped refilling our waters and brought us our checks without asking and we had planned to order more wine. read more

Went for a business lunch and everything we had was delicious and flavorful. We ordered the spring rolls for the appetizer, the menu did not specify that they were fried so that was a little disappointing but they were delicious nonetheless. We had the red curry with with chicken and the chicken pad thai and both were excellent. The pad thai was a little "saucy" but I would prefer more sauce than not enough. My review is solely sushi and service. We came in and sampled a variety of rolls and some nigiri sushi. The salmon nigiri looked absolutely amazing, texture was good, and then came the nasty fishy taste of fish going bad. Hugely disappointing. This is the first time I've ever wanted to spit sushi out in my life. Next, we had asked for all rolls with no masago or tobiko - they all came out with them on top, so we had to have them remade (sad, but have a kid that just can't do it). The spicy tuna roll was confusing because they add two solid 1/2" x 3/4" chunks of the *slimy middle part* of a cucumber and a sliver of green onion and charge you $10, where a plain tuna roll is $8. We would have preferred just to have the spicy tuna with nothing else with it, which I've never seen anyone not offer before. Anyway, the texture was just so bad... The tuna itself was good, but you just can't get past the slime of the cucumber. No one wanted to eat that one. Blech. There was the hamachi roll, which was pretty good, but it was smaller than the diameter of a quarter, and just not worth it. The rest of the rolls were just OK; neither good nor bad. The service was good, so I'm adding an extra star (thanks to the girl with the wrist wrap, who was just really nice and easy to work with). I wouldn't come back for sushi again, the whole point of our excursion, so I can't say I'd recommend it. read more

I came in with my husband, very excited to go on a date here since I've heard nothing but good reviews- but to be honest I was pretty disappointed. First of all the restaurant looked abandoned, or maybe it was trapped in some sort of time trap it needed help escaping? Not another soul in there except 3 people at the (completely bare) bar (who all turned out to be employees), half the lights were off and the music was the hottest jams of 1992. Upon being seated we were told they not only did not have cocktails, but they also didn't have any of the selection of teas on the menu, so we were basically stuck with water. We ordered dumplings to start and sort of blankly stared at each other as person after person came in, looked around, and walked out. The dumplings came out cold, I don't know how.. but I was so hungry I ate them. I then tried to order what I was most excited to try : A(many times recommended) duck curry which, to no surprise to me at this point, they didn't have. I ended up ordering sushi and cashew chicken and my husband ordered lo mein. Overall the food was just ok. I was really underwhelmed with the quality of the fish, my chicken was 90% vegetables and nuts and my husband was disappointed with his portion of food. It was extremely overpriced. Our server was nice and did a good job, though. They should have waited to open until they were able to offer what they're known for. read more

Place has nice ambiance, kind of an upscale vibe. I came in for lunch and had good, attentive service. I'm not sure if the place was fully opened or if people had heard of it yet. I was in town for a volleyball tournament. We arrived 30 min prior to closing on Saturday, March 4th. Hostess was seated at a table behind the stand. She was annoyed at having to get up to greet us. She made a point to say she wasn't sure what would be available in the kitchen since it was "close to closing". We were greeted promptly by our server. She was friendly, no issues with her service or demeanor. I was told no lettuce wraps available which is what I wanted for my meal. Settled for the wok seared edamame and an order of spring rolls. My son ordered the TNT roll and a ginger salad. Water to drink as it appears no alcohol is served or they had already closed the bar. No complaints about the salad or the roll. Spring rolls were okay, not quite crisp and a little greasy. The wok seared edamame was AMAZING. Fantastic flavor. My son currently works in the food service industry, and in my youth, I did as well. Some advice: I don't care if a customer walks in 30 min after you open or 30 min before you close, customer service should be your #1 focus. Without customers, you have no business. Consistency in service and food quality and availability of menu items should be the same regardless of what time a customer enters the establishment. And you NEVER EVER turn on the house lights and start vacuuming and cleaning around paying customers who are still eating. Bussing and wiping down tables is acceptable but not the other. The hostess again made a point to come by at 9pm to slam the check book on the ledge beside us. Her and another employee made a point to loudly say they were leaving since it was 9pm and tell another server she could roll silverware. By the way, we were not the only paying customers that were still in the restaurant at this time. I would encourage management to make a point to remind their employees they only have a job if you have customers. Customers and word of mouth are the lifeblood of a restaurant. I'll give this place another shot based on the edamame alone, seriously great flavor and the only item I could really rave about. Hopefully, next time I'm in the area I can report improvement. PS, the hostess should really be terminated based on my experience alone. read more

I LOVED the food I got (sesame chicken with white rice) ! And the ambience is great, like a place where "celebrities would hangout" as my sister said. But, this time around (our second ever visit) the service was severely lacking. To be clear, our waitress was fine but overall the place seemed to be mismanaged. The crowd was moderate for a Sunday evening but our drinks took forever to get to our table from the bar and somehow we never got our appetizer (crab Rangoon). Our waitress was very apologetic and took the appetizer off our bill. Also, for some reason, there was a wait staffer polishing silverware out on a table during prime dinner time. And there were two people working the host stand (which didn't seem necessary). I say this just to point out how the load could have been taken off the waitresses who were serving tables or the bartender. Just little areas where things could have been clearly been made more efficient. I'm not blaming any one employee, no one was rude, but some direction for them was needed (as would be the case anywhere). I love this place and want to be able to come back again, I just hope things are a little more efficient next time! read more
