I had an unfortunate view of the HVAC in the suite, but the hotel itself has a cool history and views from elsewhere. I tried ringing the front desk 3 times from the room phone on the night we arrived but no one would pick up. The service the next morning was much better and they accommodated my request for a late checkout. The shower wall in the bathroom was quite dirty. There was no complementary coffee (or water) available in the morning during my stay, which could be expected at many hotels. I love coming here. My favorite hotel in Seattle by far. We get the over the water rooms and I love waking up to seeing the ocean. The staff here are all so nice. From front desk, valet guys, housekeeping and the bartender here is chef's kiss. The rooms have always been very clean and I love the stone walk in shower. The water pressure is amazing. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash has the best smell. When we stayed last year we had the most adorable bear ottomans in front of the fireplace. I was severely disappointed when we came back this year and there's just a little plain ottoman where the bear used to be. Parking overnight is pricey, but you can see the parking lot from the lobby which is nice. I can't wait to come back and stay here again. read more

When you first pull up you notice the RR tracks which runs pretty consistent day and night (about every 30 minutes), so if you are not used to that it can make it difficult to sleep. The hotel is nice but not for the cost, it's got a log cabin vibe but the staff is very friendly and it's clean. It has valet parking which can run $66 + per day or there is cheaper parking across the tracks. Seemed to be a safe area. This review is just about the Little Festive Lobby Bar, I can't speak to the hotel stay experience. We came here for my mom's birthday and had a pretty terrible experience. The festive bar has been very hyped up but we were very disappointed. I waited to be greeted at the host stand for literally 10 minutes with staff awkwardly making eye contact then looking away. When we were seated it took another 10+ minutes for our server to come by and take our order, and she was acting like it was a real pain for her to even be speaking to us. The food was fine (this is what gives them 2 stars vs 1), the drinks weren't great, and everything was priced very high for size and quality. The Christmas tree that was next to us wasn't plugged in for some reason and it was so extremely loud. They were definitely understaffed, the decor was just fine and overall it was the opposite of a festive experience. We were really hoping to have a special night for my mom's birthday and were just extremely disappointed in the service, ambiance and food / bev. We went to a show after and the burger & cheap drinks there saved the night. read more

Stayed here with a few friends to wonder around Seattle. The hotel was great very cozy vibe and really felt like you were on vacation. We loved the lodge feel which is different than most hotels that try to be ultra modern and quirky. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was nice and clean and had a cool musical theme to it since the Beatles stayed there back in their day. We all loved our rooms with our fire places, water front views and one of our friends had a small living room area. The valet was great and the food at 67 was actually amazing for hotel food, who ever is in the kitchen is making magic happen. Nostalgia, northwestern decor and customer service were why I liked this hotel. I attended a wedding there and stayed 3 nights. My first room didn't have heat or air, so I was upgraded to a room with a water view and working HVAC. I would say this hotel is very expensive for the amenities offered and the prices for food, water and snacks. Big positive point was the filtered water station on my floor, but not all floors have that. The catered food for the wedding was not worth the price. The salmon needed flavor so we added salt and that helped. The beef ribs were tasty though. The veggies were unremarkable. This area had limited night life and required walking uphill for any food after 10 pm. All in all, I liked this hotel and its history of hosting rick and roll icons. LITTLE FESTIVE LOBBY BAR. This hotel has several bars and a restaurant. We have not tried the lobby bar and thought it might be fun during the holiday season. The Edgewater decorates all the bars with the Christmas theme. THIS bar is right in the lobby! You can easily see the front desk from it. Down the hall there are at least two other bars. We did make reservations but probably didn't need them. What's great about this bar are the huge picture windows of the Puget Sound which is right there! I mean, the hotel is like, on a pier. At one time you could go fishing from your room by simply opening your window and dropping a pole outside. In fact, I hear they used to rent them in the lobby. Alas those days are gone but the water is still there and the view is fantastic! They have a full bar with a mixologist who makes distinctive original drinks. Of course, there is also beer and wine and apps! Large and small. Sliders, chartulary plates, shrimp cocktails etc. it's fun, especially around the holidays. Feels like five stars. read more

I really don't understand the star rating for this hotel because my stay here was entirely lovely!!! I have a trip back to Seattle in June and I decided I really want to stay here again! First of all, this is a very historic hotel. I believe the Beatles used to stay there! Driving up, it's absolutely stunning. Literally looks like a cabin. And when you enter, that lobby!!! Wow!!! So gorgeous and right on the water. I checked in very easily and was even a little early and they allowed me to check in early which was so nice. My room was on the fourth floor and though I didn't have a balcony or a view of the ocean, I still had a view of the city and could even see the space needle from it! The room itself was very quaint and cozy! The bathroom was beautiful with a stone shower. The bed was comfy. But by far the best part for me was the fireplace! I looooved the fireplace. Thought I couldn't figure out that the switch under the bathroom sink is the switch to turn it on or off hahah. But eventually I did! Another favorite thing of mine was that you could actually rent a vinyl record player and up to 5 records during your stay. You just head to the lobby and sign a paper and then they let you pick some! I've actually never used a vinyl record player before so I had so much fun!!! I love this touch and a nod to their history! I got a Beatles album (of course) and some Dean Martin and The Beach Boys. It was so fun listening to it while I got ready each day. I also used the gym and it was very clean and nice too! Definitely would stay here again and hope I can enjoy the bar and restaurant too. As well as that beautiful lobby too! read more

The hotel and location itself was awesome, the staff was great. The AC system however is really crappy, we had it at 65 and it felt like 80 throughout the night, night sweats were bad. The lighting is terrible, too dim especially in the restroom. We did have dinner at 6 7, do not recommend. Zero flavor/seasoning in the food, steak and fish, terrible meat quality. I even returned my food which I usually don't, had about 3 bites of my steak before I decided to return it. Great views & location, that's just about it for this place. read more

Yes, yes, the Beatles stayed here. They don't let you forget it, either. (The actual Beatles room is marked and is on the second floor, I believe.) I found almost everything about this hotel charming. It's located about a 10 minute easy walk north of Pike Place. The lobby is so cozy and gorgeous, I could hang there for hours. The unbelievable view of the water doesn't hurt, either. We sprang for a bay view room. The window opens and has no screen. The room was spotless and has a working fireplace. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was also very nice. The staff was extremely courteous and professional at all times. I felt like I was at a Four Seasons at times, given the customer service. The hotel feels very homey because there is only one elevator (which is shiny and gorgeous, by the way) and you must go through the small lobby both coming and going. The gift shop sells coffee drinks and some food items like yogurt parfait and pastries but the pastries aren't really anything special. The main restaurant has gorgeous bay views but we didn't get a chance to dine there. As you might expect, this place isn't cheap. But you might get lucky with a halfway decent rate, depending on when you visit. You can borrow a turntable and records from the front desk. The music selection isn't bad at all. We borrowed one of their turntables and a few albums and, after a few dumb hiccups trying to get the turntable to actually move, really enjoyed playing music in the room. I love the Beatles but regardless of the Fab Four, for the right price, I would happily stay here again. read more

I think this hotel has cute and cozy vibes. Heard that The Beatles have stayed here in the past. So upon arriving, I noticed that it's located right near a train so I was super disappointed since that means it's gonna be loud. Luckily I got a room facing the water side so I wasn't able to hear it that loudly at night. The noise was faint. My coworkers couldn't sleep through since their rooms faced the other direction. The room also comes with a blanket which is good in case it gets cold. Some of the decor looks a little dated or random. They should find different drapes. It's just sooo far from downtown! It's really a haul. My convention was downtown and it's a long mile uphill to get there. Getting back is still long but gravity helps take you to the water. There are so many reviews on here that cover the history, as well as capture the modern day vibe. I've been here twice, and my most helpful review is this: This is the type of place that people should go when they miss NYC, but want a nice PNW water view. You will feel self conscious if you're not slightly dressed up (for Seattle, anyway). The coffee bar is surprisingly good; they offer seasonal drinks and a fairly well-stocked gift shop. The main restaurant/bar seems like it is often closed for private events. The lobby feels warm and cozy with multiple fireplaces--even in summer months--and will look fantastic on your Instagram. When I've been previously, it was free for anyone to utilize...but I learned today that they turned it into a reservation-only experience for the fall. Disappointing. In one sentence: It's beautiful but feels like a cash grab, filled with some of the snootiest people I have seen in Seattle. read more

I attended a business conference here. This iconic hotel is at the pier at the bottom of the hill from the market, on 99. Beautiful location. The valet on both days I was here were really friendly and fast. The meeting room we had had some wifi issues. The event manager stated they struggle with it at times. The catering was wonderful. The breakfast and lunch options were well done. They kept the beverages and ice stocked. The group went over and requested the event manager if they could keep going another hour. He permitted it. The hotel has a recording studio. If you're staying at the hotel, you may rent a guitar. We had several musicians so we were enthused about this. read more

We got a city side view room, had a great view of the Space Needle. Even though we were right by the train tracks, the windows muffled all the noises. Slept like babies. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. I needed some toiletries and was able to text the front desk what I need and housekeeping brought it up in less than 10 minutes. This hotel was in walking distance to everything Seattle has to offer, the Space Needle, Pier 57, Pikes Market and Lumen Stadium. I just got home from a two night staycation at the Edgewater and had an absolutely phenomenal time. The staff really went above and beyond! Maybe I'm just not used to this level of service, but they fully unpacked our car into our room, then brought our bags back down and packed the car when we left. Plus free valet! I felt like a celebrity. The room was stunning! We had a waterfront room with a fireplace and claw foot tub and it was just so nice. I almost didn't want to leave the room! They had so many amenities too and everything was so clean and well thought out. I loved watching the ferries go by and all the birds play in the water out my window. We also took advantage of the free guitar rental which was pretty cool. They have a karaoke room too, but we found out all too late that it's....not that soundproof. Apologies to the adjacent rooms! Drive right up to the front where you are immediately greeted by valet. At first they offered to take our bags in for us but then left them in the street! They then take your car to a valet-only parking lot to which they asked us if we needed anything out of our car. Check in at the front desk was seamless. Our room was on the side facing towards the pier, right next to where the cruise ships docked. When we arrived, there were many housekeeping carts to squeeze past. This stayed consistent through the duration of our stay. Staff we past were friendly but not over the top. The room itself was quaint and offered a stand up shower only. This is an older hotel and so this is reflected in the age of the decor, fixtures inside and outside of the room. The bed was quite comfy and there was a view of the bay from it. Upon arrival, there was a cruise ship docked right outside of our room, to which we could wave at the crew standing together inside. Thankfully after we got back from a walk, it was gone and we were able to see the ferris wheel and pier. This location is super close to the pier and to Pike Place Market. We briskly made it there within 15 minutes. There are plenty of bikes available for rent and highly recommend renting one if you don't plan to shop. We ordered room service, and it was incredible! Far superior to the dinner we had out that night. The dessert was to die for as well. They have long shade to draw over your balcony door, however, if you like to sleep with it open - the sounds of boats and boat horns may awaken you all hours of the night. Definitely was a great stay and would recommend choosing a room over the bay versus on the side near the docks. read more

For our 30 year anniversary we selected this hotel knowing nothing about it. Now we know a little about its history with the Beatles! There is a Beatles suite where they stayed and took an iconic picture on the balcony. My friend has this T-shirt and she's from Seattle. We invited her to see it and took her to the Beatles suite and she was so emotional . Rooms:. We stayed in room 318 with a water view on the 3rd floor - the 3rd floor used to be the top level so these rooms have vaulted ceilings and they feel very airy. Fireplaces act as an aesthetic heater.Next time I visit I'll try the first floor since those rooms seem like you're right on the water like a houseboat.I loved it so much. From our room balcony on a clear day (which wasn't often) you could see Mt. Rainer. I had no idea how ginormous it was! The bathroom had great lighting and was cute and rustic with a bit of modern. Beds were a little worn but still comfy. The staff: EVERYONE was so nice to us except a young male host at the Six-Seven restaurant (see Yelp review). Parking: They lost one star due to the parking. They force you to valet at a whopping $55/night. Later, we saw there is some limited street parking across the train tracks. We didn't trust the lot across the street because it closes early and had a slight uphill walk. Be aware of the parking situation if you plan to stay here. It's rare that we find a hotel that we are loyal to and will stay at again but this time we would totally stay here again and again! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights and I don't want to be bashful but there is a lot of hidden details they intentionally evade that should be mentioned: For context we booked it through Amex and got a 60 dollar breakfast allowance each morning and a 100 dollar hotel balance for our stay. We were put in the ADA unit on the first floor and neither of us are handicap. The hotel room itself was sweet and quaint. It was right on the water and had a very beautiful view where you could watch the ferries go by all day. The bathroom's floor was made of stone and during winter in Seattle was FREEZING to walk on and at times we put socks on to use the restroom but there was also water partially on the floor from the shower. There was a nice bed and a cute fireplace with two chairs and an ottoman and a desk with the snacks you can pay for. Their heat system relied on the fireplace so the fireplace would randomly turn off when the place reached the temperature set which was fine but in the middle of the night it would turn on and emit a really bright glow to the room. I'm sensitive to light when I sleep so waking up on the middle of the night because of the fire and not being able to cover it in anyway was a bit frustrating. The first morning we woke up there we decided to get room service with our 60 dollar credit. We both got the same breakfast which was 23 each so our subtotal was 46 dollars which we felt confident would stay under 60 dollars after taxes and fees. We got the receipt and noticed a $14.20 DELIVERY FEE FOR ROOM SERVICE. I do not order room service often so I cannot say what an average delivery fee is but this felt outrageously overpriced and knocked us over 60 dollars without tip!! (Also my bacon was burnt :( ) The gym was small but I will admit there was nice equipment there and I never saw anyone else in there with me. We took the train/ubered there so we didn't have to deal with parking and we were a close walk to pike place market which was nice but my boyfriend and I agreed we would not be going back to stay there. It was overpriced for what you were given and this was after a complimentary upgrade through Amex. read more

The Edgewater has lovely views and some very friendly workers, and that is the best I can say about it. The room we stayed in, while equipped with the stunning view of the water, was worn, with frayed chairs and a shower that consistently flooded the bathroom. The air vent didn't work, and neither did the Wifi until I got on the phone with technical support, after which it still lagged throughout the stay. The worst part of the hotel though is that they tack on exorbitant hidden fees. When we arrived we were told it would cost $65 a day to park with no real alternative. At the end of the trip they charged us a $33 daily amenities fee which the concierge explained was for things like the slow Wifi and coffee and having a gym and things that literally every other hotel has. It was absurd and left us feeling extremely ripped off. I think my favorite part was, the morning of checkout, overhearing one employee telling his compatriots he'd been fired, walking past the coffee shop and being told it was closed for maintenance, and then another employee telling me that the hotel was run by terrible people who didn't care. Hey buddy, I got that loud and clear. Amazing location! But not much else. read more

The hotel ownership has chosen cost savings over people once again. Choosing to close the restaurant in the morning serves no one but the bottom line. Guests are being inconvenienced and the staff that has given so much to the hotel and restaurant over the years are being screwed over! We went to the pop up cocktail bar in the Edgewater hotel for some drinks and snacks. We made a reservation ahead of time for a party of 4 on Friday. We are glad we did-the reservation was needed, because it was packed. We thought their decorations were fun and festive! We chose to dress up, but appreciated that all were welcome. Their drinks looked pretty flashy and great-it was fun seeing people's cocktails presented in glass skull heads and saline bags. I ordered myself a "Hell-on-wheels" which was a tequila/mezcal margarita. A margarita is tried and true-I loved it and it came with a black salt rim. I tried some of the drinks of my party and while the presentation was flashy, I loved the simplicity of my cocktail the most. We split amongst us a fondue that was a smash hit-it was a fondue that came with chorizo, mushroom, squash and served with pretzel sticks on the side-this was the combination of fondue we did not know that we needed in our lives. So. Good. We needed a spoon to finish it all (or more pretzel sticks). This was a fun pop up to enjoy-they had several places to take spooky photos with, and the vibe was very relaxed. This is my first experience at the Edgewater. While we would have lowered the prices of the cocktails by a dollar or two, this is a fun to do! read more

My wife and I have lived in Seattle all of our lives (60+ years) but have never set foot inside of the Edgewater. Despite some of the negative reviews, we decided to book a two-day "staycation" to celebrate our anniversary. We chose the waterfront executive suite. The valet parking and check-in process went smoothly and we were in our room minutes after our arrival. We were blown away by the quality of the room and the spectacular views. There was an outdoor deck that extended the entire length of the room with three glass sliding doors. The room was surprisingly quiet considering we were in the heart of a big city and we felt almost as if we were in a private home facing the water. The hotel is a bit outside of the downtown core so requires a moderate walk or rideshare to get to the attractions or to restaurants other than the one in the hotel itself. The room was not inexpensive but not out of line with other top quality hotels we have stayed at. We would definitively recommend the Edgewater for those wishing a special experience when visiting Seattle. read more

I had an opportunity to stay at the edge water hotel. If you recall, this is the classic hotels that hosted the Beatles. There's a famous photo of the Beatles hanging out the window with fishing poles into the bay. I had a room right on the water open the window and did the same thing. It's amazing how close you are to the water. Throughout the day you get to enjoy boats going by cruise ships and seagulls moving around looking for food. The room was a sweet, very spacious very cozy fireplace, mini fridge glass shower doors, you name it they had it. The hotel is beautiful. It is the hotel that does host the restaurant Six Seven. This means that you don't have to leave the hotel if you want to go out for a nice breakfast lunch or dinner. The lounge is spacious and there's plenty of seating if you wanna just hang out and enjoy the water. They also offer free bikes that you can check out and cruise around the boardwalk. Next time you're in Seattle check out the Edgewater hotel. read more

It's a scam. I'll be honest - the hotel is lovely. The view, the fireplace and all the amenities are wonderful. The problem comes when the staff erroneously charged me $241.77 for food and gift shop items that I never purchased. In fact, I never set foot in their restaurant or gift shop. To make matters even worse, the charges came hours after I had flown out of Seattle back to the east coast. The staff have yet to resolve the issue, despite multiple phone calls (yes, they say they'll transfer you but they hang up), and multiple emails. So no matter how good the place looks - it's not worth being stolen from after you leave the property. read more
