It's a charming boutique. I really like the color palette here. We stumbled upon this store randomly but fell in love and plan to go back. We bought a couple of cashmere items, and a couple of long shirts that are just so comfortable.

This is my favorite women's boutique in downtown Mill Valley. They have a great selection of…read moreclothing, accessories, jewelry and shoes. You'll find lots of staples here including jeans, tees, sweaters and dresses that are perfect for any occasion whether it be work, weekend or a date. I love the range of brands they carry -- everything from Vince to Citizens of Humanity, Trina Turk, James Pearse, Ella Moss, Joie, C&C California, to lesser known, harder to find brands such as Hartford and It L.A. jeans. I love the fact they carry a large selection of Current Elliott and Mother jeans. That fact alone makes the store my go-to shopping destination when I feel in the mood to shop. Most of the merchandise is arranged by color which makes it easier to find things that work and look good. The store is always packed full of merchandise so take your time looking around, and for those looking for a deal, be sure to check their sale rack out front and in the back and they often have some real steals. They also have the best selection of jewelry. Whether you're looking for something for everyday or a special occasion, they have options at various price points that should meet your needs. Ronnie and Melissa are very nice, friendly and helpful. They have great taste and will always give you their honest opinion about fit, size, style, etc. I never feel pressured into buying anything and feel I am getting great, honest, trustworthy advice. And if for some reason they don't have your size, they will take down your name and number and can usually special order something for you.

Im sad to write this as Carolina has been one of my favorite stores for many years - they always…read morestock such beautiful items and the people who work there are kind, never pushy and always helpful. With that said - the experience of shopping there has changed...pretty dramatically. I won't pretend that Carolina was ever a place for a bargain - it's always been a high end store with items that would be considered splurges or even out of the range of possibility (for the majority of people). In the last year, the prices have skyrocketed. What used to be the highest priced item is now the norm. $600 sweaters, $800 slip dresses, etc. Listen I get it, it's Mill Valley and an increasingly wealthier demographic with inflation being insane. But also, this sucks? Your prices have literally doubled. What once felt like an occasional shopping treat now just feels alienating and over the top. The owner / buyers have the best taste in town - if you're reading this, could you please bring back some of the more moderately (reasonably) priced brands? I think a lot of the non ultra elite 2% Mill Valley-ites would be super appreciative and love to support you again. But as of now, it's literally impossible. For what it's worth this is not just an opinion of mine but fellow friends who just want to go back to their favorite Carolina. I appreciate you taking the time to read and consider!

Happy Earth Day 2026!…read more If you're a data driven person like me, you know or will look up the tons of clothing that are polluting the planet. Solution? Resell or donate the things you no longer find useful, no longer want, and/or no longer bring you joy. The beauty of being a stylish woman? Someone out there wants the things I don't. They really REALLY do. Create space in your wardrobe and jewelry box, get some cash in your bank account, it's all good. Reaching out to The RealReal to start your consignment has never been easier. Once you contact a representative, they can send someone to you home, send a truck to do a front door pickup, or email you a label to ship the items you want to sell. So convenient! Once they receive the items, you will receive notification. They will have their experts review the items authenticity, photograph them, and list them. You will get a link to watch your items as they launch and sell. The cash lands in the account of your choice. Your beautiful things are now someone elses beautiful things with renewed positive energy. It's all so very wonderful and you saved those things from clogging the landfills and littering the planet. It's a win win, my favorite!

I stopped into the Marin store today ready to purchase a handbag as a gift. I've always enjoyed…read moreworking with the sales team and have had positive experiences there. What gave me pause was that one of the bags, priced around $2,000 and described as being in excellent condition, had noticeable discoloration and color bleeding along the top. Quite frankly, if a bag has visible discoloration, it should not be listed as being in excellent condition. Let's be truthful and accurate in how items are represented. Customers rely on those descriptions when making purchasing decisions. Seeing that immediately made me question the inspection process and naturally led me to ask about authentication. The conversation that followed was even more concerning. When I asked what would happen if a bag later turned out not to be authentic, I was told it wouldn't be returnable. That response honestly stunned me. Authenticity is the entire reason many of us choose to shop with a company like The RealReal rather than buying from a private seller. Just as importantly, the person I spoke with seemed unable to clearly explain the authentication process or stand behind it with confidence. Luxury resale is built on trust. Hiring knowledgeable authentication experts and ensuring they can confidently answer customer questions is vital to maintaining that trust. I ended up walking away from a purchase I was fully prepared to make. Not because of the bag itself, but because I no longer felt confident in the process. I wanted to share this feedback because I genuinely like the store and the sales team. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed, confused, and questioning whether I could confidently purchase a luxury item there in the future.
