I came in for breakfast early on a weekday morning and they were quite busy. I sat at the bar where Melloni helped me out... She was very pleasant and helpful, offering great service! She offered me some really nice suggestions, offered prompt service, and kept my coffee hot! I tried their breakfast chimichanga which is a very interesting and unique breakfast entrée. And since they offered sausage gravy, I ordered a side biscuit with a small side of sausage gravy, as I enjoy trying this when it's on a menu. The food came out rather quickly and looked amazing! The sausage gravy was very nice, the biscuit was great. The chimichanga was excellent and HUGE!! I liked the crema on top of it, but I really liked their selection of hot sauces, with their house-made "gator sauce" being my favorite. Clean and quick paced. Sat down and served immediately. Our server Johanna was great, knew when to pop up and check on us if we needed anything. I grabbed the BLT sandwich which comes with eggs but I got them on the side to give to the hubs. Its a good size sandwich that I could just barley finish. Not one of those tiny sandwiches you would see at most breakfast places. The cubed potatoes tasted like any other place you would grab them so nothing special there. I ordered a cheese steak with fries and buffalo cauliflower. The cheese steak meat was tender. The flavor was good, and I'd get it again. The buffalo cauliflower were a little on the spicy side, but they were good to. They come with ranch. The customer service was good and the restaurant was clean. There's plenty of parking out front. The Belgian Waffle was slightly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Exactly how a waffle should be, absolutely delicious. The cubed hash browns are decent, and the biscuit is always served warm, soft, and buttery. My go-to drink is a Hot Latte with white chocolate mocha and caramel macchiato. It's always made to perfection; smooth, rich, and consistently delicious. The prices are fair, and the portions are more than satisfying. I also love the cool art and vibrant atmosphere. Adorable diner like restaurant with bright colors and murals of Virginia Beach. Our server, Trish, was so down to earth, took the time to go over the specials and answer any questions. I recently moved to the VA. Beach area and I've been on the hunt during my Doordashing for my new "goto" spots. I've picked up and delivered 2x and both times this establishment was brimming with activity, so I decided, I needed to pay a visit. The Egg Bistro has definitely made the cut!!! I asked the waiter Jay, if he would encourage the cook to put his whole foot in my corned beef hash, let me tell you something, that cook broke off a leg with the foot attached!!! The fresh corned beef first passed the test because it wasn't canned, and second because it was cooked with onion and served like someone in the kitchen cared!!! Jay gave impeccably impressive service, I'm hoping he becomes a manager sometime soon because his customer service skills and attention to detail were on point. I've only been to their Strawbridge location and it's always busy! Luckily, there's usually only two in my party, so we grab a seat at the bar and skip the wait. Their Banana Nut Bread French Toast is what brunch dreams are made of. Seriously. Although I get it without the vanilla cream and caramel sauce. This dish comes with hashbrowns, eggs, and a choice to meat, so you definitely leave feeling full. I've also had their avocado toast (one of the few places that thankfully doesn't use red onion in their avocado spread). I get that one without the balsamic. Can you tell I'm not a fan of dressings and condiments?! This dish comes with hard-boiled eggs and fruit. It's a healthy alternative to the former. Parking is plentiful onsite and they have a covered patio for nicer weather. If you have a larger party, trust me, it's worth the wait. read more

I have been to the Egg Bistro a number of times and have been meaning to post a review for a while. These folks do it right from the door to the final sip of coffee when you pay the bill. Today I had the Don and I selected scrambled eggs, apple wood bacon, shredded hash browns and butter grilled Sourdough bread. It came out quick for the number of folks who were being served -- impressive. I sat at the bar this morning and *Jamie* greeted me with a warm smile and hot cup of coffee. She was kind and attentive to everyone seated at the bar and made sure my coffee cup was full, and that I was enjoying my meal and experience. This was awesome. Ask for Jamie. The gal tending bar was stepping in as a great team mate. Those two know what they are doing. We spoke briefly and it was a pleasure. The cooks of the line that you can see were on it. The team that manages the plated food ran a tight ship, getting orders out to the right patrons. These folks at Egg Bistro have it down cold and have FUN doing it. Love this place.
