We have been here a handful of times for breakfast because they have good ingredient food. We have always taken our one year old. It is quiet there at 9 am. We had a disappointing experience this time. The eggs were dried out, the fruit cup was like half of the bowl or less and like 5 of the berries were shriveled and not edible. (and it's like $5.99) I asked if we could have a bigger (4 top) table for high chair (need space for the one year old- a two top doesn't work for 3 people total no matter how little the baby) and the host was like "I don't think so, let me check the reservations." And went over to host stand and didn't even look at the tablet for reservations. To add to this, no one came in during the time we were there. We were the only customers on that side of the restaurant. Rubbed me the wrong way, it was rude. read more

Looking for a last minute restaurant for an early Sunday dinner and didn't want to go out for "bar" food nor any of the "supper clubs" nearby. Pleasantly surprised to find The Eleanor Room with decent reviews. Not a busy time and we were seated promptly. The Viejo Old Fashioned (tequila was a refreshing take on an Old Fashioned). Started with the beet salad and oysters followed by a short rib risotto and schnitzel with spaetzle......very nicely done and presented. Our server, Anna, was very attentive. Oh did I mention the ambience? The dining room is nicely decorated with beautiful wall paper and gold accents. The bar looked like a nice place to "hang out" and may try that next time for our Sunday supper. read more

first of all the service was less than good one and one of our meals you couldn't even cut the pork chop and we asked her to take it back to the chef, and he was only willing to remake it. It was so tough not to be believed and we were more than disappointed with the menu. To add injury to insult the Waitress at the end after we paid the bill didn't even make an attempt to say thank you for anything. The workers are extremely kind, drinks are pretty good. The food however was a huge let down. One of the things ordered was the charcuterie board and the meat was brown. The cheese was not good. Terrible service & food was fine. I had a group of 6 for a reservation at 6:45. We were sat right away but didn't get any type service - not even water - until 20 minuets later when we had to ask for a waiter. The waitress came to give us our drinks then disappeared for another 20 minuets until she took our order. The food took a long time to get to us and none of us particular enjoyed it. Small portions for a very pricey reaturant. Not sure if it was a bad night and they were short staffed but the resturant was not very busy - especially for a Friday night - and it seemed our waitress was only waiting on us. Reading the comments on yelp, it seems other people have had similar experiences so I won't be going back. read more

Service - very long wait for entrees but aside from LJ g wait from kitchen the servers etc were good. Bar 4+ excellent selection of quality liquor and good cocktails. Food- appetizer humus board lacks creativity. Ribeye- under seasoned no crust /char and under done good cut of meat but lacked flavor. Twice baked potatoes are a lie they are deep fried breaded potatoes skins with a smear of mashed potatoes in the middle, poor. French onion soup lacked depth of flavor kinda watery close but not quite. Some good things some misses in kitchen. read more

I have eaten at Eleanor Room about seven times. From early dinners to lunches to larger groups, we've frequented TER due to its convenience, location in the suburbs and several of our favorites. TER feels like it solves a little bit of a gap in non-chain "polished" dining in the South Metro that doesn't follow the Supper Club model. There are some very good dishes on the menu, for instance, any of the fried chicken dishes are absolutely wonderful. I've had a Risotto dish and the Schnitzel along with a few of the other rotating entrees. They also are very conscious about allergies and gluten intolerances. The servers are generally responsive and treat "regulars" with familiarity. I've rated it a "Great" even though there are some challenges. I know when we had a large group in around the holidays, timing of entrees was difficult and there was an issue with someone's meal, but the manager and chef were responsive to taking care of it. I would say there are times when you can tell the kitchen is at max capacity and if there are four people dining, one of the meals may come out a little delayed, and this may also be due to the wait staff also expediting. (With their layout, I actually have an idea to solve this from my time in restaurants). The wine list is limited because of the location sharing a landlord with Vintage 38, it could still better leverage the space it has on it (I believe 7 wines) with a few more well-matched wines. The bar is extremely impressive and the bartenders are very well versed at what they do. We're eating there again tonight...I think I'll have the chicken... read more

My mom took me for my birthday dinner. Upon arrival, there were birthday decorations on our table along with a bday card signed by the staff - nice touch. Service was excellent all around, as well as the food! From the chocolate martini to the brussel sprouts and tenderloin steak, all the way to the incredibly delicious complimentary piece of bday cake - it was all fantastic! My mom has already let me know that's where she would like to go for her bday dinner. We will be back! read more

The decor here is nice, but we were disappointed with our overall experience. My significant other and I showed up 15 mins early for our 5pm reservation. We were told by the host to wait at the bar because they were having their pre-dinner meeting and that someone would be with us after that was finished. We waited at the bar and when it was 5:00, we noticed people getting seated. We thought someone would come up to us to seat us, as previously stated, but no one did. We wondered if something changed and the bar was our designated seating area. The main host who told us to wait at the bar earlier was still standing at the front but said nothing to us. We were patient and kept waiting for another 15 minutes. We asked the bartender and she clarified that no, this wasn't our designated seating area and someone should've seated us. The main host failed to communicate that with her. She was finally got a different hostess to seat us. When I explained the situation to that hostess, she brushed it off and didn't even apologize for the miscommunication. That was very unprofessional. Our server was much more polite than the other workers. The food here is okay. Not completely worth the cost. The sliders were flavorful. However, they were supposed to be medium but were cooked well-done. The ahi tacos also were tasty, but the bottom of the wonton wrappers were full of herbs rather than fish. Overall, we wanted to like this place but how we were treated was not professional at all. read more

I have been to this restaurant location for each venue that existed. The Eleanor Room was created to feel warm and relaxed. Great bar setup with excellent craft cocktails. We moved to a table for dinner, waited on by NaNa, who was efficient and attentive. We shared a beet salad wonderfully balanced with arugula and a lively dressing. Next the entrees; pork schnitzel done just perfectly, crispy and freshly cooked, not warmed over like some places. The risotto with beef was also very tasty. Consider the Eleanor Room for a special night out. It was so worth it. Chain restaurants cannot duplicate this kind of fine dining in a relaxed setting. We had lunch on a Thursday, 5-8-24. Its a very impressive space, with a well done interior and seating in those big leather banquette seating booths. The curved and tiled bar set the mood when you walk in. The service was great...and the presentation of each of our entrees was beautifully done. Two things that stood out were the drinks (try the Basil lemon drop Martini) and the SHORT RIB CROQUETTES with onion aioli sauce...and are worth writing home about. We plan to go back soon just to have a lunch of their appetizers', they were done so well. read more

Happened upon this place on second weekend open. Soft opening still but they did a great job. Raw Ahi tuna tacos, stuffed cremini mushrooms, slider trio and frites. Homemade sauces for frites....ranch, in n out animal style, ketchup. Really thin and crispy frites. Great cocktails - best gimlet with homemade lime outside of downtown. First time at this restaurant. Took my parents for Mom's birthday. Lovely place. We had a great meal. The charcuterie board was well balanced and Mom was in heaven, our party had the scallops entrée, the pork schnitzel and risotto- the additional salmon was about 8 ounces so I had a few scallops instead. I'm looking forward to the leftovers! We enjoyed our dinners. The cocktails were innovative and yummy. Dinner was leisurely, we had the table for hours and didn't feel rushed. Our wait staff was terrific. Tip them well. The restaurant is loud, especially in the main bar and dining room. If you need regular seats instead of a high-top let them know when you make a reservation- which you should. There is a patio with umbrella tables outside. Accessibility: accommodated my elderly parents, bench seating in back room was comfortable and had enough room for Dad to get in/out, chairs were comfortable, typeface on menu was small and a light and magnifier on the phones was needed for parents. I didn't use the bathroom so I can't comment on that accessibility. There is a handicap parking space right be the front door. Walking paths were wide enough for a walker and probably a wheelchair. My wife and I took a chance to try it out, and we are pleasantly surprised. The setting is modernized and classy. The staff was super helpful in making good selections of cocktails and food. There is a large selection of alcohol choices for the adult looking for a good night, however it remains family friendly in case you want to bring the whole gang. Lastly, if you're into tequila and want to try some new selections, this is the place.... I have never seen a selection of tequila this large at any restaurant. My wife and I play a game every time we go out and eat where we let the staff pick out shots for us. The owner actually came out himself and talked with us for a while as we tried some Lost Lore Reposado (which I recommend).
