Most watery thing I've ever had. As you can see, looks nothing like what they used to be advertising.

Update: their boba is still trash But a NEW PLACE koyo ramen opened and they actually have really good boba

I thought this place was super cute upon walking in the store. It's very bright and colorful and they were playing a whole Taylor swift playlist so good vibes all around lol. They also had so many cute kawaii/boba items you can purchase from pens, keychains, snacks, and more. They were actually pretty affordable too, I was surprised. I got the Lychee Green Tea w/Boba less sweet. I waited a bit to drink my boba so the boba got a little hard but it was okay. The drink wasn't bad either, not too sweet which I liked. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Overall, a pretty decent spot with very cute aesthetic vibes!

We absolutely love this restaurant and it's such a fun addition to Purcellville. Their boba is hands down the best tasting boba in the western loudoun area! We can vouch for this because we love boba and have tried all of the boba cafes in the area. Not only does their boba taste fantastic but they have such a great variety of choices in milk and fruit teas. The atmosphere is very pretty and the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. We love Empress Pearl and will continue to visit often!

Wonderful tea shop! The employees were all incredibly friendly with quick service. The boba I got was absolutely wonderful and with lots of options. Will definitely be coming here often now that I know about it!

Tiger sugar milk tea with large tapioca pearls

Went for the soft opening last weekend. Ordered a tiger sugar milk tea with bubbles - it was excellent! I'm picky about tapioca pearls, but these tasted great. The owner made a point to speak to everyone in the line which ran out the door, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely be visiting more often.

They don't pay their workers. Drinks from this establishment are also overpriced and watered down.

Very good. And $25 for those three items was a bit of a steal, especially since the rolls were huge. They have a cute little toy/knickknack area, too. Ohhh, and there's a kids table with coloring supplies. It's small and intimate but very cute. Jasmine milk tea: delicious. Jasmine apparent and can be tasted but not overwhelming. Honestly, though, what I loved most was the service. I think the owner was the man working and he was so sweet. Him and the young woman working were so nice and even so patient with my little when she was paying for her items. I'd recommend and return!

They also have some snacks and a couple of mains if you are super hungry. On Fri, Sat they sell spam musubi. The pork eggrolls are SUPER delicious: full of meat and the eggroll wrapping is the best, reminiscent of the original Four Sisters. Parking is easy since the Giant grocery closed so many spaces in the lot.

Their employees are all really hard workers but also working very hard... so service can be hit or miss depending who you get. The store is designed really well and the ambiance can be chill or busy depending on when you go, but it's generally a bit loud from all the drinks being made and orders called out, etc. I personally rank their fruit drinks as the best, followed by the matchas and then the milk teas. I love the option of being able to get toppings on the side and seasonal drinks that rotate every month or so. Highly recommend this place if you stop by Tysons Corner Mall.

We got the Coconut Mango Boom and a couple of Cloud Crisp Grape drinks. Both were really good, fresh, and not overly sweet. The Grape Boom with cheese foam was especially refreshing. The wait was longer than I'd like, but the quality of the drinks made up for it. I can definitely see why this place is so popular.

I was in the strip for dinner next door and saw fro yo so I knew I had to come here after for dessert. They only had 4 froyo flavors and one sorbet. One of their machines was out of service so it's possible that they might typically have more flavors available. It wasn't the best froyo I've had but it wasn't bad. The topping options were ok but the setup was odd. They had candy bars but most weren't crushed up. Most of them were mini size bars (like mini Snickers) in their whole form. Not how I want my chocolate/candy on my froyo. Everything had lids but some of the lids didn't have handles so we awkwardly had to maneuver them while spooning out the toppings (you get your own toppings). We got here 1.5 hours before closing so I hope the lids were only on there because they were preparing to close. I will give them credit that it was one of the cleanest group places I've ever been in, and I've been to a lot.

When they first opened they were strictly a frozen yogurt place and bubble tea. Now they offer less frozen yogurt (but still have a nice selection) and they have a nice offering of Vietnamese food. They have beef and vegetarian pho, as well as other selections. They have also added pretty murals to the walls. On this trip, we tried Taro Milk tea, Peach milk tea and a beef pho with an extra side of vegetables. The owner was there and was super helpful about my options. The pho was piping hot when I got home and tasted really good. They gave me a generous side of vegetables. The pho was my favorite part of the meal. Our milk teas were good. I personally prefer a "stronger" taro and could have done with it being slightly less sweet (I usually don't add any sweet to my teas, or almost nothing). You can't control the amount of sweetness here. My daughter liked her peach tea but thought it was a little too sweet for her but still good. Each Boba shop has a different take on their milk teas (we're boba addicts and have tried most of the ones in Montco), so I think over time, we've developed a taste for a certain type of milk tea. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice food additions to their menu and thought they were delicious. If you're in the Urbana area and craving some good food, frozen yogurt or Boba, then definitely check them out..

If a place delivers quality drinks, good variety, and meets expectations for what it is trying to be, that earns a strong rating from me. We recently visited Y-Tea for boba. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing especially memorable. The milk tea was decent and certainly drinkable, but it did not stand out in flavor, texture, or quality compared with stronger boba spots we have visited. It was fine, just nothing special. One disappointment for our family was the lack of lemonade options. The kiddos were hoping for something along those lines, so that limited the menu for them and took away a bit from the experience. There was nothing bad about the visit, but nothing that really wowed us either. Overall, I would call Y-Tea a solid 3 stars. It is fine if you are nearby and want a boba fix, but for us it did not separate itself from the pack.

It was actually quite delectable! It hit the right spot for my cravings! The Summer Crunch croffle has granola, banana, strawberries, vanilla gelato and raspberry sauce. It was a great combination of crunch and sweet and savory! I also ordered a white peach fruit tea, which is pretty much my order of choice every time I've stopped by. As always, their staff are polite and come ready with their recommendations if you need them. The shop is fairly clean, and I've noticed that they have a pretty steady foot traffic. In the summer/warmer months, I've definitely noticed a lot of groups hang out in the shop. They don't have a lot of people staying to enjoy their orders in the middle of the day, so I think they'd be a good spot to do some remote work if you wanted to. Overall, solidly good experience. I would definitely recommend the croffles. The boba can still be a hit or miss.
