Ebelskivers with honey, lemon and mascarpone cheese

Note this is a seasonal shop, they are only open November through mid-March. If you are a chocolate lover and enjoy trying something different, you should absolutely try their Sipping Chocolate. My favorite flavor so far is the classic. These are European style hot chocolates which are very thick and rich. It's not like your typical American hot chocolate that tends to be on the thinner and more watery side. Like with a classic Italian espresso, it should be shipped and savored slowly. They also have these fun danish pancake balls (Ebelskivers). My one complaint is that they are a little on the expensive side.

The workers were nice and the chocolates weren't that bad. It is a little overpriced and a little gross but other than that it is great

Came up to Leesburg, VA a few months into the new year 2022…read more The place is a corner business on the South road into, and out of, Leesburg proper. Leesburg 'Gourmet' was a business selling very expensive German wines, overpriced (import) chocolates from Belgium, 'beer' from all kinds of new englnd joints (for the tourists I suppose) and mugs, saucers and beer taps.. To me 'Gourmet' was just a little bit oppressive and too haphazard. Let me explain. I made some way obnoxiously priced purchases from the gal behind the counter - then half way into that the phone rang. Then the gal yacked. Then while I was chatting, some 'beer guy' came in with what just looked (and reeked) like a cooler for fishing and tried to sell the place MORE beer. It was too yokel for me. The chocolates I bought could have been found any place in D.C. and there was not much in the way of courtesy after spending $25! The place was NOT ACd and the owners (I was told) were off golfing some place.. Typical. This gourmet turned into a phone-booth, which in turn became a chat-shop, hiring fair and finally a lost corner storelet which bank-rolls some ritzy local couples' mid-week bonanza in other states.. There was one clammy person running this place. Review: 3

Whether you're a chocolate lover or not, The Conche is a spot you need to experience at least once…read more There's really nothing else like it, the way they incorporate chocolate into both sweet and savory dishes feels creative without being overdone. For drinks, The Moussetache was smooth and velvety with rich chocolate notes, while Fetish felt like a true dessert in a glass, decadent and indulgent. The espressotini had a bold coffee kick, and the Passion Agave mocktail was light and refreshing. The entrees were just as impressive. The Conche Burger was juicy and flavorful with subtle cocoa depth, the Harissa Chicken Sizzle came out tender with a nice balance of heat and smoky sweetness, and the Ribeye was perfectly cooked, rich, and elevated by their signature touch. The ambiance is warm, modern, and intimate, perfect for a date night or a special dinner. Service was attentive and welcoming, and they even surprised us with a birthday dessert of assorted chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's one of those places where every detail feels intentional and it definitely leaves an impression.

Disclaimer: This review is purely based off of my interactions when trying to book for a birthday…read moreparty. I am also leaving this review so that others do not have my experience and are not mislead. I was looking around at different options for my daughter's joint 8th and 9th birthday party. Last year we had their party at mocatinas and it was so impressive. I was trying to find something that would be equally as good. I found the Conche chocolate and cake studio and was interested in their party package. I contacted them and even on their Yelp page they advertise pictures of the parties in a private studio. We thought that was really awesome and wanted to do their cake pop making party. At no point during my discussion with their employee did they disclose that this party would not be at their private studio. There were so many chances they had to let me know during our conversations. I finally was given a contract by them and quoted over $800 for the party. We were happy to pay that but during that conversation I realized that it was casually mentioned it would be held in a restaurant. I paused right there and carefully re read everything. I made sure to ask questions and confirmed that not only would the party not be held in their private studio that the owner advertised on this very Yelp page, it would be held at a completely different restaurant. Not even the conche restaurant and no private at all. I think it's incredibly sneaky to charge someone $800 and not give a full disclaimer that this would not be held at the advertised location. Also in my personal opinion it's greedy. I told their employee I cannot justify paying that amount for a children's birthday party held in the corner of a restaurant open to the public. When initially it was advertised as private and even showed pictures. I called them out and said you do know that you have a private studio advertised right? They tried to come up with an alternative solution to put the kids in a "cramped room". While still charging $800 lol. No thank you. We have booked somewhere else. This sort of situation turns me off from even eating at their other restaurant. It's a complete lack of general care. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and I really hope people read this review so they are aware that children's birthday parties are held at a random corner of a rest and not the advertised private space on this page.
