You Won't Want to Escape These Games Our friends, who also love escape rooms, raved and raved about this place so we had to check it out. We decided to attempt a double-header and take on Prison Break followed by The Playground. I know that's insane but they were offering 20% off our next game if we bought it that day and we're suckers for a discount. First up, Prison Break. Initially I was very concerned because we were paired up with a group of teenagers, all but one of whom had never experienced an escape room. This is listed as one of the hardest rooms so I thought for sure the kids would crack or get bored. Boy was I wrong! Right from the get-go this room was so immersive and challenging that everyone really came together to beat it because they were having so much fun. Even with us all unified, I still thought the room would best us with its complex and challenging puzzles, but we won in the end. Sure we only had 6 minutes left on the clock, but we cheered as a team. Everyone had been an active participant and the sense of accomplishment was palpable. I would definitely suggest this room for those who love great visuals; fun, challenging puzzles; and teamwork. Next up, The Playground. After a quick lunch we returned to take on this room. This time we were joined by a fun family of three: mom, dad, and 18 year old daughter. They all had experience with escape rooms and the daughter professed to being an escape-aholic as well so we felt more comfortable headed into this one. I also felt like I was getting ready to do an escape room with the Weasleys since I was the only non-ginger in the group. Wow, another amazing looking room. This place is on point with its visuals. I felt like this room was actually a bit more complex than the other. There were almost no physical locks so very little guessing could be done. While I loved this challenge, I could also see it being overwhelming for some who have relied on combo locks to get out quickly. What a blast this space turned out to be! Right from the start the puzzles were complex, challenging, and super fun. This room requires players to be analytical and detail orientated so bring that one friend that always notices when you change your hairstyle or gain an ounce. Together we conquered this space with 12 minutes to spare. It was a sweet victory full of high fives and "woohoos." I would definitely recommend this space for thinkers, puzzle lovers, and anyone with an inner kid wanting to revisit the 4th grade. All in all, this was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The Escape Game - Dallas is a fantastic facility, even if it is in a noisy, busy mall. Wow - just wow. This company knows what they are doing!!! We've played two of the four rooms at this location, and that was in the same evening because we had such a blast during the first one! Prison Break - I really enjoyed how you start off in two cells and have to work together to get past certain clues. It really enhanced the experience and made it feel like a real prison. Once you get further into the game, the other rooms are just as enjoyable and you really feel like you're in the middle of escaping. The puzzles are difficult (but not impossible) and our game master was very helpful when we needed him. Playground - This is by far my favorite room to date. The theme is kind of silly, but the creativity behind some of the puzzles is fantastic! I've never seen some of these ideas before, I doubt I ever will again. Plus, this is one of the only rooms I've ever been in where you are allowed to intentionally break something. Even though I accidentally "broke" the game (no spoilers!) the game master was able to resolve the issue and get us back on track in no time. And the final puzzles really made this room special - I'm tempted to do it again with new friends, just so I can be a part of the joy the room brings them. The only thing I might change about the rooms is that they all have a secondary entrance that you can open from the inside one access is achieved. I think this is probably to allow for more accessibility to players (which I completely agree with) but in one puzzle it ended causing us a tiny bit of grief (again, no spoilers). And I wish they sold the pins the employees wore on their lanyards - I would absolutely collect them each time I beat a game. I will definitely be going back to do the other two rooms! read more

I have been to multiple Escape Rooms, both local and distant, and The Escape Game Dallas is by far the greatest! It is the perfect place to escape the summer heat and spend some time with your friends or family! The rooms are engaging and require effort, but the work is outweighed by the genuinely fantastic time that you have trying to escape! Having played Gold Rush, The Heist, and Prison Break, I can tell you that The Escape Game spared no expense in constructing the rooms; you immersed in the theme of the room and transported to a gold mine or prison and do not feel like you are still in Dallas. The games are worth EVERY penny! The staff are extremely friendly and seem to enjoy what they do, which is seen by their extensive knowledge of the rooms and the desire to ensure that you have an AMAZING time. We had an absolute blast at The Escape Game Grapevine! We played the Playground room, and it was one of the most fun and unique escape rooms we've ever experienced. It was an easier room than we usually do but the physical tasks kept everyone engaged and entertained the entire time. The setting was a fourth-grade classroom, and the game had a great mix of physical challenges and puzzle-solving. The staff was amazing--friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, and clearly passionate about what they do. As self-proclaimed escape room super fans, we especially appreciated the special treatment we received. It made our experience even more memorable! Thanks staff! Best customer service and amazing rooms! My daughter and I spent a full day escaping all four rooms. I think we enjoyed Prison Break & Heist the most! The rooms are all very challenging but not if everyone works together. We had the same family of 3 with us for two of the rooms and we quickly learned how to use each others strengths, prison break I recommend at least 6 people as there is a lot of team work needed! We def will be recommending this to family and friends and will definitely return ourselves. Shout out to the staff they are truly amazing and their patience and explanations are definitely better then I've experienced at other places! Their escape room is top notch! Their rooms are very engaging and well planned out. My group and I (3 people) have been here two times already and they have always been friendly and helpful during our escape room journey. Previously, we had done the heist and prison break. Today specifically, we did the playground and Aileen was our game host and master. She was super helpful and kind. She came in clutch and gave us 2 extra minutes to finish the last puzzle since we only had 3 people. Overall, you must go to their escape room! It is an experience you will never forget. I went with my schools junior class officers & it was such a great bonding activity for our group! It was so much fun working out all of the puzzles & getting to be interactive with the room. Some people were worried about feeling claustrophobic while being in a room with 10 other people for an hour but " the playground" room was spacious & had many puzzles so that everyone could spread out & be involved. We all loved getting to work together & help improve our leadership & teamwork skills while also having fun! 11/10 would recommend going with your friends or family as well! read more

My school's senior class officers went tonight to the escape game playground. We had so much fun together! It truly was an unforgettable bonding experience. We were able to really make our selves stop and think carefully while, practicing our leadership skills. Our group learned valuable lessons while, making memories and laughing. This game was a truly enjoyable bonding expierience for our Senior Class Officers. We were forced to work together to solve the puzzles and made great memories and had fun all at once. I would for sure recommend this escape room to any group wanting to bond with their team and expand on their problem solving and leadership skills. We had a great experience and the girl working there, Sydney, was amazing! I have done an escape room at another place before and this was so much better. We had 4 people doing the gold rush room and needed some extra hints but we got out of there with just over a minute to spare. We did this as a part of a bachelorette party and the bride seemed thrilled! The rooms looked great and really let you get into the story. I want to go back and bring my family next time! read more

My family and I went recently and played The Heist at this location. We absolutely had the greatest time! Our game guide, Camille, was excellent, friendly, professional, and added so much fun to our experience. The Heist was challenging and intriguing and in the end we had each played an integral part in accomplishing our timely escape!! We had so much fun! My wife and I went as a date back when we were dating and had so much fun we kept going. We love the staff there, they are so kind and fun and really make the game fun, as well as possible when you get stuck! We did every single game they had to offer within three days because they were so ridiculously fun. A few months passed, and our memories of the rooms faded, so we went back and did it again! Do not recommend The Escape Game at Grapevine Mills Mall. Our time was scheduled for 8:20am, our group arrived at 8:05am in order to sign waivers. No employee has arrived to unlock the doors and it is 8:50am. My time and energy has been wasted. Very disappointed with the lack of organization and I will not be coming back. Saw this Escape game many times while shopping in the mall. Finally decided to give it a try. Oh ! What fun we had. What a blast ! We were a team of 3 for Heist. We originally wanted to do Gold Rush but the time wasn't available. Although we didn't complete the mission, we definitely want to go back and try it again and succeed. Easily the best escape room that I have ever done. The Riddles were tough but it was very realistic and so much fun. We escaped from Gold Rush with only two of us so even if you are a small group still go give it a shot. Rebecca was our game master and she was really nice and accommodating. The Escape Game Dallas was a lot of fun. We are a family of four who ended up grouped with a young couple. We played the Heist and it was challenging and very creative. Wasn't a fan of paying so much for an hour activity, but in the end we LOVED it! Prison Break was an amazing experience. I did the room with my husband and we escaped with just minutes to spare. We had the opportunity to have Nate as our game master, and he was very helpful and has a great personality.
