Go to page for the location on Ruston Way for that stuff. This location is the wholesale and retail warehouse on 56th. Now that the PSA is completed, this IS the place to go if you're planning a meal and need a shoal of fish with which to make it. It's also the place to go for friendly, knowledgeable people who will help you with your decision making and purchase. They stock primarily fish from the PNW/Alaska. There are no worries about stinky, old fish here, as the processing is happening on location. Along with the fresh product, they also carry frozen products like squid if they're not produced locally. Their selection of smoked salmon seems a little smaller than that at Ruston, but their fish selection is more varied. The service there is top notch. On a recent trip I called in advance to see if they had 5 lbs of halibut carcasses (I was making soup). I didn't leave a name, only saying that I'd be in soon, and when I got there they'd already put it aside for me without even having a firm order. That's just typical of the help I always get there.

For nearly $4000 the cold sandwiches and meager salads sans the promised fruit did not taste good, nor were they presented in an attractive way. In retrospect could have done better with Panera. Also, though additional money was sent for their contracting to set out tables and chairs (Pagoda House--Pt. Defiance)--those who came to serve knew nothing about that arrangement. The wedding party ended up setting out all of the tables and chairs though it had been prepaid for to Jonz Catering. One funny thing--the owner of Jonz Catering said that food should not be taken out by guests. Frankly few wanted to, so that was not a problem. Though polite, many guests complained to others in our wedding party about the poor quality of food. The only good thing about the experience with Jonz Catering were the two women servers who stayed (the owner or woman I made arrangements with left quickly). The two servers were polite and graciously cut our wedding cake when the baker left. I would warn not to use Jonz Catering. I did not have a good experience. I have been embarrassed about the quality of served food and it was definitely a disappointment of our important day.

When my mom paid the clerk didn't even thank her, just directed her to slide her card. Then I too purchased an item, and the clerk handed me my change, and she walked away. I said to her: "Thank you- but - is it all you do is transactions, and no 'Thank You's?' " she said "What?" I repeated it and then she just stared with a blank stare. So I said.."A 'Thank You'?- is that too hard to say to myself and my Mother? She then said, "Oh have a good day?".(reluctantly) I then said "You were very rude to my mom!". Having just talked about some fun little holiday gifts for our mail carrier, dog sitter, and handyman, it seemed the perfect thing. Been a long time fan of See's Candies going back many years. The shop is small - I'm guessing it's starting out as a "seasonal shop and let's see how we do" sort of thing. So the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is we were really hoping for the candy case with all the yummy individual candies that See's is famous for. But the staff were super nice, and the selection for holiday gift goodies was very good. Prices are, well, "candy store" prices - not "dollar store prices" but you'd expect that from a quality brand store like See's. I really hope they stay on and build out the full "See's Candies" experience that so many of us know over decades. Nice little store.

The staff was polite, professional and incredibly thoughtful. They even supplied to go containers for leftovers. My words cannot express how wonderful the entire experience has been. They seemed to be having a good time at the party, and everything from set up to service to tear down was easy schmeasy. I literally did nothing. The only thing I did not like was the way they packed up the leftovers (we had curry over rice and I would have packed them separately to freeze... but I mean not really a big deal we had them for leftovers). While Gayle is a bit more on the pricey side, at the end of the day when it comes to events most people are only going to remember the food and drinks- and Gayle delivered! I would 10 out of 10 work with Gayle again for any event, large or small (or for specific items if she just does that).
