Where do I even begin?! Adina gave my husband and I the wedding of our DREAMS! Let me back track and tell you how amazing Adina and her team are.. My now husband proposed to me in February 2020 and I went straight into wedding planning! We had originally booked a venue (not related to The Event Set) and paid a deposit, then one month later, the pandemic happened. My husband and I patiently waited a few months to see how the pandemic would affect our wedding plans but the situation only got worse. State mandates prevented us from having any indoor wedding over 100+ guests and the place refused to change our date or give us our deposit back :( Enter... ADINA! I found Adina by yelping other wedding venue's to see if I could find a new place and came across her company The Event Set! From the moment Adina texted me, I loved her personality and knew we would get along. She looked at our old contract and matched everything + more! I loved working with The Event Set because it's like a one-stop shop for all things wedding related. Not only do they find you the perfect venue but they curate the catering, alcohol/beverages, florals, all rentals (tables, chairs, dance floor, lighting), Photo Booth, photographers, videographers, and more. Though most of our vendors were already booked, Adina made everything else smooth and easy for me. She worked with my month of wedding planner seamlessly. Together they worked their magic and gave us the wedding of our dreams. We even had a little hiccup. When we contracted with The Event Set, they had found a beautiful estate for our wedding. We loved it and we were so excited! Unfortunately, a year before our wedding the estate became unavailable. Adina THEN found us an even more luxurious estate that I didn't know was possible! 2 1/2 years of planning later, my husband and I finally got married at The Vineyard Estate. It was the most perfect day. The estate was dreamy and our guests continue to tell us how beautiful it was. We had the indoor "guest house" that comfortably fit 160+ guests with a bridge leading to a scenic view. We mostly used the indoor guest house for cocktail hour since our wedding fell on a heatwave (go figure). After cocktail hour, we celebrated the rest of the day outdoors surrounding the gorgeous pool with views of the Santiago hills. Our family & friends had the time of their lives and I tear up thinking about how beautiful our day was. The rest of the team were awesome! Kelly (also part of The Event Set team) was an angel! She made sure I was well hydrated and relaxed, always asking me if I needed anything. She made me feel like a celebrity! She was such a sweetheart. The Event Set also provided our guests with valet shuttles to and from Santiago Canyon College since parking at the estate was limited. Catering was delicious! We opted for asian cuisine with 2 hors d'oevres, a 7 course meal, and late night dessert bites. As the B&G, I didn't get a chance to eat much but our guests mentioned how good the food was. The bartenders were a hit! We managed an open bar the entire night and our guests loved the drinks. Florals were gorgeous! We did a white & gold dance floor with our initials also provided by The Event Set. Honestly we didn't need much to decorate because the place speaks for itself. I didn't think writing this review would make me nostalgic but here I am fighting my tears because I miss our perfect day. If you're reading this review and thinking about hiring The Event Set for your future event - this is your sign to do it! Trust me, you will not regret it! As for Adina and The Event Set team - thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

Truly the best group of event coordinators you can find! Adina and her team put together our wedding and it could not have been more perfect. It was personalized and was so special to have our wedding feel like it was so us. From planning leading up to the day to every small detail day of, we enjoyed working with the Event Set throughout. On our wedding day, Kelley made sure we tried all the food and we got to enjoy every moment of the day. Cannot thank the Event Set enough for making our wedding a dream come true!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with having the Event Set host our wedding!! We got married at the Ocean Terrace in San Clemente in May 2024 and had our ceremony inside the beautiful chapel and reception outside on the ocean view terrace. It was nice to have a company that was all inclusive with vendors since we planned our wedding in about 4 months. I worked mainly with the coordinator, Stephanie and she was amazing. I sent her pictures of different bouquets, styles, and etc that I liked in order to give her an idea of what to create. I was blown away with how beautifully the wedding came together. I LOVED the flower bouquets and arrangements. We chose not to do a tasting of the food and desserts and were also very happy! The cake that they created was the prettiest wedding cake and tasted really good too! We loved the charcuterie board appetizers! Another highlight was the photographer Trisha who the Event Set paired us with. I am so happy with the quality of the photos. I had a shorter veil that I wore to the reception but later realized that it was a different shade of white than my dress; Trisha edited it to the same shade! Our friends and family rave about how great all the pics look. She captured our special day perfectly and was so nice to work with. The DJ was great too and communicated well with my cousin who sang at our reception and ceremony. I recommend the photo booth too! Thank you Stephanie and Adina for going above and beyond to host our wedding!!

This review is a long time coming but very well deserved. We had been on the search for a venue for some time and had looked at quite a few before we ended up going with The Event Set at their San Clemente Gray Matter Museum of Art location back in April of this year. From the very first time we met Adina, everything felt so natural and genuine, and we're so thankful that we were able to have her guide the process for setting up our most important day. She made sure to take all our crazy ideas into consideration as well as keep both of us involved every step of the way. Although we had a very short turnaround from when we found The Event Set to the day of the wedding, they still were able to put everything together without a hitch. Adina took care of finding the florist, the cooks, all the decorations, the DJ, and even any specialty request that we had for our ceremony. She was consistently available, truly listened, and added such a wonderful personality that truly made what can be a very stressful experience, honestly joyful. She and her team put together a ceremony and reception better than we could have hoped for and worked so hard to make our day perfect. We felt lucky the day we found her and The Event Set, and we're just so very grateful for how special and wonderful they made our day. Thanks Adina!

The final last two weeks, Colleen handled all vendor communication, confirmation, and insurance logistics. One thing that would be helpful would be the communication after requesting and placing a deposit. They also asked for a tip prior to the day, but we opted to tip on the day because again, I had already paid for the entire experience before the experience. Thanking God it all worked out!

I'm just wondering what Oceanside parks (not on sand) you are allowed to host on assuming 8-10 people. PC: I apologize I am not familiar with the city of Oceanside. I think just googling the parks would be your best bet for finding a location Me: Oops sorry I mean ocean side - meaning anywhere in San Diego. Any park that's near an ocean. PC: The only one I am familiar with is South Embarcadero Park Me: Ok so I guess then my question is do you have suggested locations? Or do I research and propose that? Where are you typically hosting picnics I mean? It seems there's a lot of rules so I can't figure out what is and isn't allowed. PC: I think you have to pick a place and then call about that specific place is how it works. Me: Ok no thanks looking to pay someone to do that legwork for me. Thanks. PC: Happy to do that for you. We offer location scouting which we charge $499 for this I was surprised at the price to provide me a list of allowable locations. So I pinged another company to see if they had a list of sites. I got a reply in 5 min with a list of locations that only the county allows. It's a very short list and easily posted online by county. Picnic collective charging you $500 to send this list is a scam and also you should seriously second guess they don't know or supply this to you with your inquiry. When I brought this to PC attention, instead of acknowledging the feedback - they proceeded to engage in a combative back and forth with me. I wonder how many suckers they've gotten for this $500. They're other untrustworthy & ripping people off or unknowledgable. The pure fact they wanted to argue with me on this simple issue was also indicative of what might have happened running a large event with them in recognizing a mistake. Be very careful committing thousands of dollars to an event with them and the county kicking your event out.
