This is for the Festival of Lights 2020 version. This actually was a great way to get out and enjoy the season of Christmas. We arrived around 5 and we were done about 6:15. The wait was not bad at all and we arrived at the starting point about 5:20. It was awesome and they had their own radio station loaded with only Christmas songs. Such a nice touch. The lights were great a visible from your vehicle and you were able to get some great pictures and videos. What I loved was it was during a Bills game and one of the first set of lights was a Bills helmet. I knew it was going to be a good day all around. Everyone was good while driving and made sure everyone had time to take pictures as well. It was a nice night out and we even followed social distancing. Woo Hoo!

I must say that I love the fair! It is my happy place, especially at night time with the lights illuminating the grounds. This year, I was lucky enough to attend on 4 occasions! From rides, to the ferris wheel, to caricatures, to the butterfly room, to the delicious food... oh there's not a thing I would change! Hands down one of my favorite times of the year. I cannot wait to see what next year brings!

A great venue whether you like to gamble or for family fun Hamburg fairgrounds has something to offer for everyone! Special events are hosted year round including the festival of lights and is home to the Erie county fair! Can't forget to mention their racetrack where horses are trained and raced throughout the year. Very easy to find with a large sign. Inside of the venue is always very clean!

Masterson's Garden Center had a honey tasting bar. Yum!

This review is for Preview night at Plantasia held at the Hamburg Fairgrounds on Wednesday evening, March 20. What an incredible event this was! There were tastings, free samples, live music by Gimme Buffet, and beautiful landscapes. It made me feel like Spring is actually here at last! The vendors participating were: Andersons: Sampling plant based frozen desserts & hard ice cream The Aurora Popcorn Shop: Sampling gourmet popcorn Tops: Sampling cupcakes Buttercrumbs Bakery: Sampling little bitty cakes Abbott Road Pizza: Sampling pizza and subs Finnerty's Tap Room: Sampling rueben meatballs Donna's Pepper Jelly & Jam: Sampling cranberry orange jalapeno cornbread, merlot fudge and raspberry riesling cake Great Lakes Coffee Roasters - Sampling various flavored coffees Black Button Distillery: Sampling Black Button spirits This was definitely worth the $15 admission.

I come here each year. Today was opening day with free admission with a two canned good donation to the Food Bank of WNY - win/win! Love to try all the new foods and explore! One of the best county fairs I've ever been to.

After getting to Armor Fire Hall too late last week we decided to make sure we got here extra early and arrived about 6:15. We were not the first ones there but there were tons of seats and tables at that time. The space here is much larger than Armor and had 2 levels of seating which is great if it's busy. It was our first time and we did not really know what to do but some very kind regulars helped us. They suggested we each get a special, which includes 3 boards for almost every game that is played and cost $20 a person. After buying the boards there is not a lot of instruction. The first game is a little wild and there are numbers up before they start for the evening. It's weird because no one tells you this and if it wasn't for this very kind lady we would have been lost. I think they should have someone to make sure if there are new people they can help explain this. There were also a few bulbs out on each board so it was confusing if you needed to recheck your numbers. My final thought about the game itself was it was pretty fast. I could handle 3 boards but it was a bit stressful. 2 boards would have been better for me personally. Overall it was a different and fun evening. Nice to get outside of our regular activities and try something new. There are bingo dabbers, pizza and snacks here. All are very reasonably priced. If you want a slice of pizza make sure to pre pay for a ticket before the game starts to lock in your piece. There is also an additional split club if you are interested. No beer or wine served for bingo. There is plenty of parking here as well which is a plus.

I would have give them 4 stars but their service are slower than molasses…read more Ok, so this restaurant actually part of the clover bank country club. We saw the sign that it open to public. We thought hey nothing to do today so we decided to check it out. They have patio outside facing the golf course. It was a nice patio and a nice view. We opted to just ordered appetizers. Something light to enjoy the companion and view. We ordered mussels, Crunchy roll, and garlic Parmesan wings. Our favorite is the wings. It's very nice and crispy but still juicy and the garlic Parmesan flavor is very good. I can't get enough. Now it said a pound in the menu but I doubt 6 tiny pieces of wings equals a pound. The mussels also have nice flavors. The bread on the side looked quite burnt and hard but when you soaked it in the mussels broth, it was pretty good. Now the crunchy rolls... I wanted the steak one but they run out so we got the Buffalo chicken wings. It's pretty much Buffalo wings sauce barely meat on it. Would I come back to it again? Yes I will. When I have a lot of time to wait for molasses service. Took more than an hour for our food to come out. And the place not crowded at all. Would I recommend? Only if you prepared to wait for the service without getting hangry. Or maybe you get lucky and getting faster service. Considering what I ordered it should come out less than an hour.

Everyone loved their food; we had several sandwiches , a burger, a flatbread, a salad and a filet between 9 of us. Everyone was pleased with their meal! The service was friendly and attentive. Would return and would hope locals do the same!
