    Festival of lights

This is for the Festival of Lights 2020 version. This actually was a great way to get out and enjoy the season of Christmas. We arrived around 5 and we were done about 6:15. The wait was not bad at all and we arrived at the starting point about 5:20. It was awesome and they had their own radio station loaded with only Christmas songs. Such a nice touch. The lights were great a visible from your vehicle and you were able to get some great pictures and videos. What I loved was it was during a Bills game and one of the first set of lights was a Bills helmet. I knew it was going to be a good day all around. Everyone was good while driving and made sure everyone had time to take pictures as well. It was a nice night out and we even followed social distancing. Woo Hoo!

I must say that I love the fair! It is my happy place, especially at night time with the lights illuminating the grounds. This year, I was lucky enough to attend on 4 occasions! From rides, to the ferris wheel, to caricatures, to the butterfly room, to the delicious food... oh there's not a thing I would change! Hands down one of my favorite times of the year. I cannot wait to see what next year brings!

Masterson's Garden Center had a honey tasting bar. Yum!

This review is for Preview night at Plantasia held at the Hamburg Fairgrounds on Wednesday evening, March 20. What an incredible event this was! There were tastings, free samples, live music by Gimme Buffet, and beautiful landscapes. It made me feel like Spring is actually here at last! The vendors participating were: Andersons: Sampling plant based frozen desserts & hard ice cream The Aurora Popcorn Shop: Sampling gourmet popcorn Tops: Sampling cupcakes Buttercrumbs Bakery: Sampling little bitty cakes Abbott Road Pizza: Sampling pizza and subs Finnerty's Tap Room: Sampling rueben meatballs Donna's Pepper Jelly & Jam: Sampling cranberry orange jalapeno cornbread, merlot fudge and raspberry riesling cake Great Lakes Coffee Roasters - Sampling various flavored coffees Black Button Distillery: Sampling Black Button spirits This was definitely worth the $15 admission.

A great venue whether you like to gamble or for family fun Hamburg fairgrounds has something to offer for everyone! Special events are hosted year round including the festival of lights and is home to the Erie county fair! Can't forget to mention their racetrack where horses are trained and raced throughout the year. Very easy to find with a large sign. Inside of the venue is always very clean!

I come here each year. Today was opening day with free admission with a two canned good donation to the Food Bank of WNY - win/win! Love to try all the new foods and explore! One of the best county fairs I've ever been to.

I'm always out in Irving, or close to it so I decided to take her out here. We ended up getting there roughly around noon, the place was packed with 40+ year old patrons. I couldn't believe how packed the parking lot was. The gaming floor looked promising, and if I had more time I would have definitely explored all of it. Customer service is exceptional here, security was friendly and helped us navigate where she had to go. The lobby is very spacious, they have vending machines and tables right when you walk in. Customer service was giving out popcorn. The whole lobby smelled like buttery goodness. I definitely plan to come back.

Three sisters breakfast buffet. ... expensive continental breakfast. (Same free at a name hotel) Bear Claw cafe ... Epic huge donuts and decent coffee. (The only plus I've found here!) The rooms are nice and clean and the Shower is roomy and nice and powerful. I'd give another half star for the swimming pool and gym. Also has a full spa. Another negative is the attitude of the casino attendant that stopped us from walking through with my 20 yo daughter. She had here carry a yellow card and stay on the red carpet. ( I understand this being under 21) but just her attitude of incredulousness that we were trying to pull one over on us. She should be fired! Not a good look for Seneca Niagra.

I've never smoked, so I notice cigarette smells easily, and wasn't bothered by it in our room. It *did* reek of cigarette in the lobby and around the casino however. Unpleasant. The bathroom was amazing with a large shower. Very spacious. Room key was needed to access the elevator and your floor, which was great (*cough* The canadian side Doubletree needs this right now *cough*) The US side of Niagara Falls is super sketchy and just for that I wouldn't be in a hurry to return - I also have no interest in casinos so there's not much for me to do here. Staff was polite. Overall I would stay here if I was on that side of the border.

There's a hotel attached, at least one restaurant, and a sports bar in the part that i was in. Apparently, there's also a concert venue (i saw Quiet Riot was going to be there) and a horse track. Go for a good brunch, it was good, not too salty and everything, including a breaded chicken with a roux (white flour) gravy with a hint of lemon that was delicious. The standards, eggs, sausage, bacon, were cooked well, although the sausage could have had a little darker outer color to make it looked cooked (it was). The racing was fun, and I did a little betting, lost a little, won a little more than I lost and prepared to leave. Going through the casino, it is sad. It's only machines, its a beautiful summer day, and there are mostly elderly, with walkers, scooters, oxygen masks, spending what time and money they have left in the dark looking at a screen. Ironic, isn't it? If our kids did that we would be horrified. I wanted to say "go out and play!" but whatever. So if gambling is not that important, good food and I know they have an entertainment and hotel that I have not experienced, so I think the potential for a meal and entertainment without spending anyone's inheritance. One note, I grew up here and used to come to the track with my mom in particular as a fun and exciting nite out. Those machines were not allowed then so you went for the horse racing. If they could have table games or at least an environment that didn't feel like a farm for taking your money, that could be fun.
