I travelled about 700 miles to eat here, even though I wasn't sure what to expect. For a while, the family who owns this restaurant had another restaurant in the town where I was, for lack of a better term, stuck. I ate there many times, enjoying the casual food they offered. This week, I'm back in NJ for some east coast time before I leave for California permanently, so I thought I'd try some local places. First, where do you park on weekdays? OMG. I parked in front of the bank but that has to be slammed, even with their own parking lot. (I was told that there is a municipal lot somewhere near the building.) That said, they had a large number of tables, for four people and for two people, along with counter seating. The restaurant is quite casual but comfortable. I was greeted enthusiastically by the host, and he took me to a booth where my backpack and I could sit. It wasn't long and a waitress asked for my drink order, and I continued to read the menu afterwards. It was a bit difficult to pay attention to the menu, because I was impressed with the efficiency of the staff handling customers, food, and clearing tables. I decided on the Lox and onion 3-egg omelet and home fries, without the toast. I don't eat bread a lot, but I've had quite a lot lately, what with all the sandwiches you get while travelling. As the waitress brought my juice, I was ready for a little wait. Since it was busy, I figured my little wait would be increased. It wasn't instantaneous nor was it long enough to be measured in eras or eons. Their other restaurant wasn't extremely fast because they took time to cook things just then. It was worth the wait. I was glad to see that the home fries were not white on the inside, and just flipped to brown the outside. Also, the lox and onion were mixed into the omelet rather than just sprinkled on top. It was all tasty, even though there didn't seem to be any salt. They had a wide variety of sandwiches, so later this week, I think I'll return to see what's good. I don't usually eat breakfast, but it was worth the trip--50 or 700 miles. Oh, and I saw something special. One of the waitresses came up to the host while we were talking. She had some stuff that the customers had left on their table. He said "run after them", and so she did and gave them their stuff. That's pretty rare! :-) read more

Great local breakfast spot as well as lunch, it is closed on Mondays. I always find the owner to be pleasant and he greets you with a smile. I think the staff is always friendly and attentive, my aunt loves coming here for breakfast and lunch it's a great place to eat. read more

Nothing fancy with atmosphere local diner approach. Got there early with plenty seating at front but taken to back booth??? Great and attentive service, but the breakfast quesadilla was awful. First try came out with slices of American cheese- yuk. Second try came with cheddar and I could barely find the cheese and in my mind cheese is a main ingredient. Eggs were made like an omelette with bacon and I don't like flat greasy omelettes. So very disappointed. My husband got the Florentine omelet and he found it very tasty. Back story....I was killing time and was hungry while waiting for my wife to have a medical procedure nearby. This place had good reviews. I'm not familiar with this place or the town as I live about 35 minutes away. Now to the establishment.... Just sitting at the counter by myself having the breakfast sampler I quickly realized that this is one of the friendliest places I've ever been to. The guy that seemed to be running the place knew almost every single person that walked through that door by name. They obviously have tons of repeat customers. None of the staff seemed miserable about being at work early on a Saturday morning. A truly friendly, everybody seems to know everybody kinda place. Very refreshing to see such a place. Visited this location today for breakfast based off the reviews. I like how big and clean this place was. It was pretty packed when we arrived and left. I personally enjoyed the food, I thought it was great. I had an american cheese omelette, hash browns and side of sausage links & bacon. It was delicious, the bacon was cooked perfectly. Nothing stands out from other breakfast joints. My boyfriend ordered blueberry pancakes, he got the short stack so it came with two. He didn't even finish 1, he didn't like it at all. He felt the sausage was okay. He said he wouldn't come back and wasn't happy at all with his food. I felt bad. Service was quick just wish our waitress Hailey would have been less standoffish. Truly impressed by this restaurant! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly host. Then we were taken to our seat all the way in the back which I didn't understand but just continued with the flow. The waitress was very quick to bring us our drinks and answered all our questions. The prices of this restaurant are honestly amazing especially for the quality of food they offer. In my opinion way better than any fast food chain like IHOP of Denny's. Missed breakfast today but tried the lunch. It's Thursday so it is always split pea soup day in Jersey. Tried a cup, served with crackers -no croutons. It was okay, but kind of bland tasting and creamy with no chunks of anything. I also had the tuna melt on grilled rye. Looked good and was tasty-good tuna salad. All white meat. The rye bread was too crispy and dry could have been grilled with a lil bit more grease. Unsweetened ice tea was very good (Gold Peak). Service was very good. Nice roomy place located 90 Main St, Little Falls, NJ. Open Monday through Saturday, 6-4.  Sundays from 7-3.  The place is clean and although it's not modern it is nice and enjoyable. Meredith who was my waitress was pleasant and more importantly she smiles. What a relief to see a smile anywhere you eat. Simply makes the experience that much nicer. I ordered 2 eggs over medium home fries and toast with coffee. A simple dish that seem not to be done well many places I have frequented but "The Falls Kitchen" hit it on the nose. If I wanted an omelette I would have ordered that. The home-fries lacked flavor, no peppers, onions, or any type of seasoning, and the salt and pepper I added didn't do much either. This is a terrific breakfast spot! I have been to other diners in the area, but The Falls Kitchen has been my favorite so far. My boyfriend and I come here almost every weekend for breakfast. The diner is really clean and the staff is very nice. I love ordering the belgian waffle with strawberries with a side of turkey bacon, and my boyfriend orders the light omelette which comes with bacon, home fries and toast. Just moved into the area and stopped by this morning for breakfast with my daughter. Nice small town diner vibe where the waitresses know your order before you sit down. We got the Falls French toast which was 2 massive piece of Challah French toast with an egg inside served with bacon and home fries for $7!!! First time we tried this place was through Door Dash. I have two small children and going out to breakfast is tough! The door dash driver was taking longer than expected and the manager called me to tell me he is tracking the driver and will make sure they start my order so I get it nice and hot. This morning I fell in love with The Falls Kitchen. I drive my younger son to school at Montclair State U and back home, so I've been looking for a nearby breakfast spot with wifi for days such as today, when Ari has just one short class from 10-11:15. The idea is for me to do a little work and catch a bite while waiting for him. But it wasn't panning out. Every place near the university seemed to either lack wifi or be 10-15 minutes' driving distance away and I had a terrible experience recently at one of those places - The Hearth - so when I looked at the Yelp reviews for The Falls Kitchen this morning I was cautiously optimistic. And, it's only 1 7 minute drive for the university. Well, let me tell you that the place completely surpassed my expectations. A quick phone call confirmed that they do offer free wifi, which worked great. I found parking right outside but it turns out there's also a lot around the back. The spacious interior is delightful. Some tables have comfy padded benches and I sat on one of them, relaxing :-). A table of seniors were having an animated conversation at the table right next to me but the acoustics are such that their voices weren't distracting at all. The food? Hmmm. Possibly the best prepared breakfast food I've ever eaten. Just eggs, toast, homefries and sauce, but everything was cooked just right. The service was excellent as well and so were the prices ($6.40 for my meal, which included coffee). Thanks for an enjoyable experience. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Ok I was looking for a local place and stumbled upon this on yelp a few weeks ago, we literally passed this place 9 million times and it has zero curb appeal just due to signage and location, from the outside it definitely doesn't look like anything special at all, or is it? When we first walked inside we were blown away, a huge, bright diner type setting that was well lit and crazy clean! We ordered the breakfast and all parties were pleased, good prices, great food, nice portions and a friendly waitress. I'd give it 3.5 stars. This is a new diner in the center of Little Falls. It's located on Main Street so there is only street parking which can be tough to find in this area. I came on my lunch break with 5 other teachers. Everyone liked what they ordered but the service was very slow so we were almost late getting back to school. I got the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and it was huge. I couldn't finish it and it was very good. I'd come back the next time I am not in a rush. read more

Start with the owner Steve who is the nicest man. His care and concern for his staff has been evident these past couple of years. The staff are kind, considerate, pleasant and extremely helpful. The main reason to go however, is the food. Breakfast, omelets, pancakes, waffles, combo platters are all top notch. Lunch items, wraps, burgers (the Jersey Burger is incredible) are just as good as the breakfast items. If you believe in the "support your local business" motto then you should be trying the Falls Kitchen. It is everything a local spot should be. read more
