Avocado toast

Lil gem up in paterson, delicious food and generous portion, found my new weekend diner place. Avocado toast was good according to the wife and will try it again. I ordered an make your own omelet as per the one I would have ordered "the meat lovers" in the menu is not part of the omelets in the menu but more like a pressed grilled plate if those mixed ingredients with eggs on top your choice, will try that next time. Coffee when asked to be served on to go cups even staying in for breakfast doesn't get the coffee designs in case you like taking those pics as well and keep in mind the chia latte mix they use contains 62 grams of sugar, so it taste very sweet, sugar less chia mix will be a good addition to their menu. Until next time to try another dish from the menu

Wow what a pleasant surprise! This place will put a smile on your face! The ambience, cleanliness, service 1st class! 10 out of 10! I just happened to be getting my car repaired close by and was told to try this place. My lucky day! The French Toast is to die for. Wish I had taken a pic of it before I dove into it. Freshly squeezed orange juice, any coffee treat you like. Only drawback is they're not open for dinner, was told hopefully soon. So check it out, you won't be disappointed I promise! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

West side Grill Diner never disappoints! From the beautiful decor to the amazing service I will always come back. The food is really good and the music had me dancing in my seat the whole time.

Looks to be the first review since the remodeling. The waiter told me it's a new owner now. Let's start with ambiance first cause right off the bat - it's a whole few shades nicer than before. Nothing against the old look and feel but it's more welcoming and more natural light. Presentation of the food, counters, booth and the diner itself was clean and sharp Service itself was top notch. The waiter kept checking on me without interrupting me. They made it known that if you need anything we are right here. Prompt service - was seated as soon as I walked in at a booth. Order taken within minutes and thankfully it's a smaller menu than your average diner. Got my food within 8 minutes. Now for the food itself - amazing. Everything was seasoned. Home fries were crispy but tender. Eggs even tasted great. Beef sausage had a great snap albeit it being a bit on the greasier side. Got the waffles and it came out soft but crispy and flavorful. Overall - I love what they did with the spot and I'll def be back over and over again They are suppose to start a dinner service soon from 4-11 pm. Breakfast is from 5-3pm

The total experience! Beautiful decor upon entering..Very cozy and inviting. Well lit with bright , fresh aptong like colors and clearly immaculate. Great genre of music. Warm smiles and greeting upon arrival . All staff are dressed neatly and uniformed alike. Very professional . Good of colorfully presented with csliced fresh fruit as garnish . Servers wil assure that your order is made to your request. Very accommodating. Food was perfect and well plated.,I had not one issue . Very reasonably priced. Street parking is hot or miss. However , there are 4 parking spaces on the rear that are almost always available. Don't pre judge without trying. This place is a GEM!!!

The service and workers were very well mannered and respectful. Made sure we were good many times after receiving our food. Food was overall amazing. Once food was served, we received all the orders at the same time but one. As we were waiting for food, the music played was fit to all and many genres were played. The vibe and decor were amazing. Definitely a place to go to for a nice and chill vibe!

I would recommend calling before visiting on a weekend. We just left and they were closed for a small event on a Sunday. Hours showed open on Yelp. 🙏 We are looking to returning when they are open again.?

Do you ever have an experience at a place so bad that it ruins the trajectory of your whole day?…read moreThat was my morning at Jackie Smalls. I don't give out one-stars on principle unless the food is inedible or something egregious happens but I feel in this case it is warranted. This is my third time at Jackie Smalls. My first, I thought the avo toast was great. Second time I got a very bland breakfast burrito. My third, today, I brought my infant son and decided to dine in. I asked for a high chair and once seated was told by my "waiter" that he could not take my order but I had to order at the front. First issue was this high chair. Nobody knew how to adjust the straps including me, and it was some minimal little aesthetic thing that looked like he could easily topple out of. This is important later. Anyways no big deal with the ordering, front guy was accommodating and let me order from my seat. I ordered the Smalls Scramble for me and French toast for my son with the syrup and raspberries on the side, no pistachios or whip. Food takes a good bit to come out, which is no biggie either. When it arrives, they set down the French toast plate with a knife (a knife knife not a butter knife) on it in front of my son. Ok not great but I hand them the knife back. Then I try the food. Honestly, I'm not sure what to say about the food but...yikes. The eggs were certainly not soft scrambled, and the toast did not look buttered, and the weak potatoes were somewhat like a thick flaccid potato chip drenched in truffle oil and, by the way, not more than a speck of salt on anything. It looked pretty but that was about it. The French toast was deep fried or air fried and it was just not good. Sorry, no other way to say it. So I go to ask for two things: salt, and to inquire as to whether the multi-grain toast has nuts since I have an allergy and it looked concerning. I keep having to go up to these counters and leave my baby unattended in his unstable high chair because nobody will come to me and keep making me get up. I had to ask like five people about the bread until someone pulled out a binder and started looking for allergens. Everyone was just pointing me to the next person and many seemed to simply not understand my question due to a language barrier. I get my salt, and this is some COARSE salt. So I couldn't even fix the seasoning. Not flaky, but like coarse and pebbly for pickling or seasoning steaks, not for food. While I'm up and bouncing from person to person I keep gesturing at my son and nobody will come to my table. In the meantime, he smushed the raspberries and spilled the syrup and I'm back and forth between my conversation and keeping my son in his chair. At the end, I just didn't trust these people's knowledge of anything and could not eat any of my food but brought it home for my husband. It's one thing to serve food that needs a bit of work, but you need to at least offer normal table salt for folks to fix it. It's another thing to have the majority of your staff not know about allergens or how to navigate your high chairs. Also that food needed more than a little bit of work. I will say though those pancakes did look good. I will not be posting pictures for this review because I don't want to mislead with the pretty plating.

It was so small Me & family took over the whole seating area it wasn't much to begin with. But they definitely wasn't expecting that huge of a group to come in all at once. Some of the dishes were unique and tasty. These are some of the dishes we got - Mozzarella Sticks - Zucchini Sticks - Chicken Fingers - Qeema with Paratha [ Patistani Bread , chicken qeema, salad and mint sauce] - Reg waffle [huge] - Paratha Omelet [3 eggs, onions, green chilies, tomatoes, coriander] plus patistani bread on the side - Chai with Almond milk - Wings and fries which waited for the longest time [almost an hour] and it was still raw inside smh Overall this place was ok. The service wasn't even the greatest nor the food. Which it was quite a disappointment. My nieces food was uncooked and they only gave her a free milkshake as an apologize. I don't think we be coming back here again. When i asked one of the staff what is this wthat comes with the paratha Omelet and the staff gave me an attitude and said it's patistani bread like i should have known. It wasn't even listed on their menu that's why i asked. It's a cute place but with their rude attitude, uncooked food. No thanks

I had that "Jersey Meat" (Taylor ham or pork roll, whatever you call it) egg and cheese but I'm happy I listened to the owner here and also got the Chopped Cheese. This breakfast sandwich was stellar but the Chopped Cheese was very possibly the best one I've ever had. The Jersey meat had a hard sear to it, which I love. Plenty of meat, cheese, and eggs on a fresh hard (Kaiser) roll. I got it with just pepper. Jersey meat is salty enough on its own and I typically don't rock ketchup with eggs. This would have been awesome with a splash of hot sauce though. Great sandwich. The chopped cheese was the hero here though. This was on a fresh jersey long roll and the seasoning in the meat was fantastic. Best seasoned ground beef I've probably ever had for a chopped cheese. Plenty of cheese, the roll, and the toppings were all very complimentary. The sauce is great on this as well. I got that extra drizzle overtop and I'm pumped I did. I had a side of it as well and trust me, I used it. Do not pass on this sandwich if you come here. The owner here is awesome, the food is great, plenty of parking on the streets around the business in a residential area, and the price is right. Salt Pepper Ketchup - Didn't Suck!

With its unique harlequin decor, Chit Chat remains a chic, upscale diner that we frequent often with friends and family. Upon arrival this morning, my partner, his family, and I were greeted by the staff at the host station, and we were able to get a table quickly. The menu was extensive, and we took our time looking but did not feel rushed. Their menu includes a lot of things one may not find on a regular menu. We decided on their brunch menu and ordered Raspberry & Brie Stuffed French Toast, Santorini Benedict, Bro-Nana Cocoa-Nuts Multigrain Pancakes, and Chorizo Hash & Eggs with a choice of a complimentary mimosa, bloody Mary, or Bellini.
