This place is such an experience. The interior is a bit small, but gives off a coziness rarely experienced in restaurants. It was very clean, with music perfectly paired to the already present atmosphere. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They all greeted us with a warm smile. We started off with two Chai Lattes: one with whole milk and one with almond milk. The presentation of these lattes was top tier; definitely worth the minor wait. They also tasted even better than they looked. For our brunch, we had gotten some chips and guacamole to start. For our entrees we shared a couple of plates: the body builder omelette with hash browns and a side of white toast, a side of beef sausage, and the French Toast (topped with Pineapple chutney with vanilla glaze and strawberries) with scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. All of the food was presented beautifully and tasted even better, just like the Chai Latte. The portions were large considering the affordable cost, and it all came out in a timely manner. Aside from the atmosphere and food, the one thing that stood out here was the customer service. Our waiter (I think his name is Wil) was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with their machine when trying to pay and Wil handled it quickly and professionally. Even if we didn't have that issue, the entire customer experience was great, and you could tell from the faces of the other tables that they shared our experience. For all that, they get a well deserved 5/5. I would highly recommend checking out the West Side Diner if you want to try out a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that won't break the bank. read more

Lil gem up in paterson, delicious food and generous portion, found my new weekend diner place. Avocado toast was good according to the wife and will try it again. I ordered an make your own omelet as per the one I would have ordered "the meat lovers" in the menu is not part of the omelets in the menu but more like a pressed grilled plate if those mixed ingredients with eggs on top your choice, will try that next time. Coffee when asked to be served on to go cups even staying in for breakfast doesn't get the coffee designs in case you like taking those pics as well and keep in mind the chia latte mix they use contains 62 grams of sugar, so it taste very sweet, sugar less chia mix will be a good addition to their menu. I just happened to be getting my car repaired close by and was told to try this place. My lucky day! The French Toast is to die for. Wish I had taken a pic of it before I dove into it. Looks to be the first review since the remodeling. The waiter told me it's a new owner now. Let's start with ambiance first cause right off the bat - it's a whole few shades nicer than before. Nothing against the old look and feel but it's more welcoming and more natural light. Presentation of the food, counters, booth and the diner itself was clean and sharp Service itself was top notch. The waiter kept checking on me without interrupting me. They made it known that if you need anything we are right here. Prompt service - was seated as soon as I walked in at a booth. Order taken within minutes and thankfully it's a smaller menu than your average diner. Got my food within 8 minutes. Now for the food itself - amazing. Everything was seasoned. Home fries were crispy but tender. Eggs even tasted great. Beef sausage had a great snap albeit it being a bit on the greasier side. Got the waffles and it came out soft but crispy and flavorful. Will is an absolute artist with the cappuccino art and he has one of the best personalities in the world. Philippe made one of the best omelettes I've ever had. A few burgers and sandwiches for lunch. Fast friendly service and good prices. I stopped in for breakfast - corned beef hash, eggs, home fries, toast, coffee. Came to just under $7.00 before the tip.
