We came here for my birthday dinner. We were seated within a few minutes as we had a reservation. Highly recommend calling ahead. This was a small yet classy establishment. An older crowd in the restaurant. Very nice and quiet with a nice ambiance with candles on each table. The menu was delicious yet simple ingredients which was exactly what we were looking for. This did not mean it was lacking in taste. I had the linguini with blackened salmon. Next time I would order it with half the sauce as it was too much for me. My husband had the NC trout. There was a 40 minute wait in this pint-sized establishment for a table on a not very busy day in Brevard. I was in a laid back mountain mood and did not mind. I wanted to try this place. I got the fish and chips as did many patrons that day. There were many gristly parts, and, I found it greasy as well. The fries were good. Dinner on a Tuesday evening. Surprised that all booths and tables in the bar were reserved at 5pm. Very good service offered by Brittany! Nice selection of beer on tap. Inconsistent mix on 2 old-fashions that were ordered. One was perfect and the 2nd was tart and not really drinkable. We had daily specials: an order of duck and an order of trout. Both dishes were well prepared. Evening vegetables were a mix of brocolli, sliced carrot and summer squash. Squash was delicious but broccoli was not fully cooked. We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary at The Falls Landing in early September 2018, and they went over and beyond to make it as special, as if it, were someone in their own family. Living 2 1/2 hours away, I worked with JJ and the owner, Mike, over the phone weeks in advance. They took what I envisioned and made it come to life. Everything from custom menus, when I decided to go to a set menu, to setting up the flowers, cake, and signage I dropped off earlier in the day. The food and wine selections they suggested were excellent and made everyone happy without costing a fortune. We weren't rushed, they attended to our every need, and made it beyond the perfect celebration I had hoped for. For your next special event, I highly suggest Mike and his staff. Meh- this place needs a menu revamp, or a chef that can execute the current menu. Service was mostly miserable. We tried the risotto special, it was undercooked, and 100% flavorless with a dishwater after taste. Clam chowder- no flavor, but not terrible. Maybe whoever made it didn't take the time to taste it. Husband had the trout w/ mash potatoes. Trout was okay- slightly over done, mashed potatoes were overly salted. Caesar salad was great! My Mom and I happened to be in downtown Brevard today and we decided to stop in to The Falls Landing and have lunch. It was around 11:30 am and the place was about a 1/4 full. I was kinda surprised when the woman asked us if we had reservations. I was thinking, were we supposed to. She then came back and asked if we would like a table or booth, and we went for the booth near the bar . They set up a chalkboard with all their specials of the day for us to read along w the menu . My Mom had coffee and I just wanted water. My Mom really enjoyed her coffee and asked the waitress what brand it was. And she said it was from a local beanery just down the street. The Brown Bean coffee Roasters. They served us water with sprigs of fresh mint. Very refreshing. I had the Santa Fe Chicken club for 9.95 and my Mom had the 1/2 sandwich special w a cup of soup for 7.50 . My sandwich was great with sourdough toasted bread that was very tasty. I like spicy food and the chipotle mayo was a bit hot. Left an afterburn a little bit. But, the flavors of the chicken with the ham and bacon w tomato and onion worked well together. I had a salad for my side and it was all of about 5 or 6 bites Very small portion. Did come w a pickle spear. My Moms Clam Chowder was okay. She thought it could have had more clams. She said the chowder here was better than most She's had. Her half Chicken salad sandwich was quite small . The bread was very small. All in all , we had a nice lunch and our waiter was right on top of everything. By time we were about finished with our lunch , the place was packed , including the bar. There were some "fine dining" options on the menu, but the 5 scallops for $31.95 was not worth the price not only looked burned but were pretty bland. The rice side dish was mushy and also not very tasty considering it was supposedly Cajun andouille and lobster rice. My husband ended up getting a burger, which was good, but it was a burger. Coleslaw is a bit pungy for my personal taste but that is my opinion based on southern pit bbg slaw. Ceaser salad was good. Our absolutely favorite place to eat in Brevard. Whether we sit in the dining room or the bar, the food and the service is second to none.

I ordered tge bacon blt which was amazing. I've never had this combo before and I was really pleased. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and said it was pretty dry and bland, but the fries that came with it were pretty good. The local brewing company also serves their beer here and we both got the ipa and really enjoyed it. Our server was really nice and polite. And our food came quickly and hot! read more

We have been looking forward to going back here after a great dinner. We went to lunch today and were very disappointed. We ordered clam chowder and received cold broccoli soup instead. We heard the table beside us complain about cold soup as well. I ordered a $9 taco salad that was mostly lettuce, less than 1/4 cup of beans and a very greasy taco shell, and almost nothing else. Moved to Brevard a year ago and everyone suggested Falls landing as a good consistent quality restaurant. I have not been disappointed. I have eaten there several times, and taken out of town guests. The trout is excellent, and so are the scallops. This past week I ordered the lamb stew from the appetizer list. Very good flavor, but served luke warm - disappointed. It was a cold rainy evening and I thought a bowl of stew would hit the spot. I noticed the china bowl itself was cold.
