I've had issues off and on with my plumbing over many years. As property ages you can expect a few. Well, many of us have had upgrades to our houses and bathrooms and kitchens seem to be a favorite to advertise by contractors. Some with good credentials and others who do shabby work. So I had both bathrooms redone. Only to find out that the installed fixtures were not done properly. One bathroom completed many years ago got seldom use. Recently we had company and come to find out that there was only a trickle of cold water coming out of the shower fixtures. Mostly hot water. That problem was troubleshot by The Family plumber. But alas, after much trials, Nick from Family plumber found an adjustment screw that had been limiting the cold water flow and made the cold water flow again. I cannot express how wonderful and professional The Family Plumber has been with my needs. My home was diagnosed with a large crack along one of my pipes underground as my home is on a foundation. Mario and his crew helped identify the situation and carefully constructed the best way possible so I wouldn't need to cut into my "exposed" floors. Instead we removed both bathroom vanities to enter underground and they were able to replace all my plumbing pipes, including a new sewer in the front of my property for easy clean-out. It was a major project but the crew kept me informed of everything they were planning for the day and showed me everything they were working on as this took about 5 days but I was okay as I wanted things done correctly. Every day they would clean up their work area and showed up on time the next day. I am very pleased with the work done and the office assistant, Jenn offered a wonderful "no interest" company that will finance this project. We cannot be any happier knowing our plumbing is in good "new" condition and that we shouldn't be needing any plumbing needs.. for awhile!! Don't sign an agreement until you get the written breakdown of hours charged and parts needed. If you're like me and my wife tells me there's a leak in the garage... no problem it's just a little leak... who helps me out will fix this right?... just so I sent him a picture... he tells me it's serious and call a plumber... my heart dropped... he's my "plumber"... Thank God for my friends referring Family Plumber to me,.. two of my friends who live in Cerritos and Los Alamitos both used them and gave their approval... so I called with no other bids... They came out the next day... as soon as the technician came out and looked at the leak... he knew this was not an easy job... so he let me know all the piping will need to be replaced because most of the pipes were plastic and they were all cracking.... they came out a couple of days later and replaced all the piping and valves with copper... it was a work of art... my buddy knew this was a job for professionals... had no idea they were craftsmen too! We live in a house that was built in 1947, so the plumbing is old to say the least... my wife and I discovered a leak from the cold water valve under our bathroom sink that ruined our vanity. We pulled the vanity out and I went about replacing the valve only to discover that every time I tightened the new valve down, the old threads would crumble underneath causing another leak. On Saturday from 8am to 11:45pm I tried everything I could to get it working until I just gave up and called The Family Plumber. Even thought I called super late on a Saturday, they came through for me. Charlie G. came out and knocked out the problem in about 35 minutes! He was awesome and was able to replace the crumbling pipe with a new copper one. I was at my wits end and was ecstatic that Charlie was able to fix it so that my wife and I could turn our water back on, shower, and go to bed.
