My sprinkler system had an issue with low water pressure. My gardener diagnosed it as an issue with the irrigation valve needing replacement and cut the PVC pipe output but wasn't able to remove it from the copper pipe input because it required soldering. That's where I called Chris the Plumber who gave a fair quote to replace the irrigation valve and he sent his associate to replace it. We got a new irrigation valve but it turns out my gardener's diagnosis about the irrigation value didn't resolve it after all. We notified Chris and he came himself to troubleshoot the issue and it turned out to be a broken sprinkler head letting out too much water. Chris was on time and he and his assistant put shoe covers on which I appreciated. I thought all the parts in one of my toilets needed replacing but he told me only one part needed replacing. He stopped the slow leak in my bathroom faucet but had to go to Home Depot to buy a part. Meanwhile his assistant kept working. He came the same day I called and let us know that our water heater was still under warranty and suggested calling the manufacturer (Rheem) to request the parts he told us we needed. Just got off the phone with Rheem and they are shipping the parts for free! Chris could have easily told us that we needed a brand new water heater and sold us a new one, plus installation. We had tenants that moved out and never disclosed a leak in the bathroom. The leak came from the upstairs bathroom to the downstairs bathroom. We had request quotes from multiple business most of them wanted us to go through insurance ( mind you this would cost thousands of dollars). There's a reason why Chris has all five star reviews! I'm going to add to the stack! I had a leak under my sink somehow related to the garbage disposal installation and my dishwasher. I reached out to several companies via Yelp and Chris was very responsive. Through messages, we worked out what might be the problem and he set up an appointment with me that same day! Three of the other plumbing companies just gave me the stock reply to call them to make an appointment. Chris took the time to diagnose what could be wrong. When he talked to me, he said it was a very simple fix and he probably didn't need to charge me. When he got here it took him a whole 5 minutes or less to solve the problem. Turns out during the insulation of the garbage disposal a little cap wasn't removed. It's a cap that's there if you don't have a dishwasher but if you have one you have to remove the cap. Chris & his assistant were on time, respectful as they put on shoe covers before they came into the condo, and after he fixed it, he said he felt bad for charging me. I asked him to charge me as I respected his time and energy to take the time out to come over and fix the problem. Chris and his assistant were super professional, and more than reasonable. I mean, what other service technician would not want to charge you for showing up? Where I live, the technicians show up and charge you even if they don't know how to fix it!
