Beaver Pond Farm - The magic of winter snow awaits your visit at Beaver Pond Farm Inn!

To the left is a mud room with a bench to take off boots and various informative brochures for the area. The kitchen is behind and seen through a window along the bench wall. The kitchen was wide and bright with a picture window over looking the land view behind the Inn. Just to the left of the bench starts the entry way to the next room and the heart of guest gatherings, the dining room. Wide pine floors, post and beam. Beautiful country style dining room table with a bright window on the rear wall. Way better than a hotel that is for sure! Continue past the dining room and enter the next room, the living room. Roaring fires, parcheesi, the game of life, reading magazines about vt real estate, the New Yorker, and just lounging in a vt country setting. That's how I spent my NYE 2014 with my wife and baby to be in the living room. This living room with it's wide pine floors, Christmas tree with lights and hydrangeas from Kim's garden, rocking chair and oversized brick rustic fireplace, oriental carpets...half way into this room on the right wall is an entry way back to the rear of the dining room. Just before the dining room is a small bar area and coffe station. VT craft beers and VT coffee and teas! Also the storage area for games and a CD player, a small bar sink as well. The breakfast each day were amazing! The homemade granola was out of this world, the scones, waffles, sausages, baked pear were out of this world. Again, way better than a hotel could ever do. The bedroom we stayed in was Babcock. It had a queen sized bed with lots of pillows and a nice semi firm mattress. We also had a small TV and a private bathroom with shower and tub. Always a nice touch! It had wide pine floors too. Outside of the house is a large deck and hot tub. We didn't try it but I think a guest did on the first night we were there. I think you should book a night or two at this Inn and enjoy all of what VT and the Mad River Valley has to offer. We had a great holiday vacation.

Kim and Bob are such gracious hosts. They knew the valley so well and were so friendly and fun! Kim's breakfasts would make even Gordon Ramsay cheer! The puff pancake with marscapone and fresh berries was A-mazing. The room was exactly what one would expect at a beautiful inn: fluffy pillows, down comforter, large private bath... We will definitely be back!

The food was suburb! Lots of farm to table meals, and home cooked baked goods too. The staff went above and beyond creating plates just for me, a vegan, and for our girlfriend who is gluten free. I was treated to specially made vegan enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo, incredible tofu masala, tasty shashuka without the egg, Vermont maple soaked oats, and a memorable pineapple coconut rice pudding. Margaritas and Old Fashions were great, and the Heady Topper was free-flowing! Oh yessss! I loved fact that they use local fan favorite Fox Hollow Apple Cider too! Go for the cran-apple juice! Yum! The wedding was absolutely stunning! The ceremony was on the grass under the pretty arbor. The cocktail hour was on the terrace with passed hors d'oeuvrs, and the reception was in the round barn. Just gorgeous! The coordinator was on top of everything! I mean everything! Rehearsal, to hand-lettering, to fixing the bride's gown. Awesome job! The rooms were so lovely and each had their own personality. Some has a jacuzzi tub, all showers included a seat, which we love, and each room had a fireplace. I couldn't help but imagine how super romantic it would be laying in bed with that fireplace blaring on ones of those frigid, but beautiful snow-filled Vermont nights. Made me want to return late fall and around the holidays! The beds were super comfortable and our bed in "Dana" was a four post elevated, which required stairs. Loved it! We also had lovely views of The Green Mountains from our bed and there was a vaulted ceiling and a loft too. Wine glasses left for us also. We were very happy with Dana as our choice for rooms. No detail was overlooked here. I loved the black embroidered makeup towel for the ladies to use for face washing. The lovely toiletries were nice also. The warming tray for their hand made ceramic mugs...nice touch! The dining area was cozy, as was the game room where we enjoyed games of checkers and diving into one of the many books in the library. The staff were all wonderful and overly accommodating in every way possible. Check in was simple. Checking out even easier. We felt so safe and at home here we didn't even lock our room or use our key. The area is fantastic! It's right near Sugarbush for some skiing. There was even some snow left on the mountain early May! Warren Falls and National Green Mountain Forest is just down the road where the hiking is great, and the moose crossing signs are out! Warren Falls is great for families and has a swimming hole. Moss Glenn just a bit farther is a super impressive waterfall. Woodstock/Queeche, my favorite town in Vermont is just a half hour away and Stowe is about 40 minutes. Lots to do in both! I would absolutely come here again! Everything was pure bliss. The only mishaps which I should mention, but it didn't personally bother me one bit was that the power went out during a pretty bad storm. The rain pounding on that old roof so loudly and passionately....I thought it was super romantic! The staff was very well prepared with lanterns and flashlights, which actually makes me feel this isn't their first rodeo. Just a heads up. Highly, highly recommend for first timers to Vermont, for an iconic New England experience. It's equally as great for old pros who love the outdoors and need to reconnect with nature and/or one another, and for brides! It's definitely not cheap, but if definitely shows. It's a unique and special venue. Perfection.

Karen & Mick are the most wonderful innkeepers and keep the space warm and inviting at all times. Karen also happens to make the best breakfast scones (fig and vanilla! cheddar and chive!) in the morning that are served warm, freshly baked, with butter and jam. We particularly love how it is dog friendly, too!

Prepare to have your day begin with a thoughtfully-curated, multi-course selection of delicious food. Breakfast starts off with a fresh scone (the vanilla Fig ones were our favorite) and then a creative fruit plate of sorts, and, finally, the showstopper (puff pancakes with maple bacon, breakfast cubanos to name a few). Starting your day off with these elaborate breakfasts is truly such a treat. The location: Incredible. Tons of restaurants (we loved Peasant), amazing breweries (Lawsons!), scenic hikes (can snowshoe from the property), skiing and more! There is even a farm with pigs / cows/ tractors 2 minutes from the property that our toddler son went absolutely bananas for. The property: Magical. Hard to describe the serenity that the property espouses. It is truly magic. The main Inn is so cozy with a roaring fire every morning and night, amazing guests to chat with and cookies to enjoy by the fire after a long day of skiing / snow-shoeing / drinking beer - whatever floats your boat. There is also an incredible hot tub and cozy robes to take advantage of. The Innkeepers, Mick and Karen: no words can describe how amazing they are. There is a reason why every other review mentions them -- they are warm, caring and make you feel so incredibly welcome in their place. You feel as though you are staying with your family at the most amazing, cozy place you could possibly imagine. It is clear they care deeply about their guests and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They cater to your particular interests/ needs and really do go above and beyond for their guests. Every little touch this place offers makes for a truly incredible experience. To summarize - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY HERE !!! This place does amazing things to your soul.

My husband paid for the romance package, it was beautiful when we walked in with the "rose petals" and tea lights on the bed. My husband paid $60 for the romance package which as I said was beautiful, however the rose petals were fake, not worth the $60! My stay was more than comfortable, the pool area was nice but the water was below freezing, almost like swimming in the middle of the Atlantic. I also got a chance to enjoy the morning breakfast. I got the scrambled eggs with bacon and orange juice. The eggs were cooked just the way I liked them and the hostess was more than accommodating even if I was late and had come back from an early morning nap, I mean yoga lesson. I would happily come here again for a little R&R if given the chance.
