Amazing food! Delicious drinks. The smoked meatloaf sandwich was unreal. Tee Time is a new favorite drink. 5 stars.

It's alright. Just okay. Bland and off-putting food, with a weird and uncanny atmosphere…read more Here is why I think that: I went here once before and had a dish I absolutely was disgusted by. , "The Tortellini Michelangelo." I could not finish more than a few bites before throwing in the towel. I played it off as maybe I just didn't like the dish. Maybe my palette wasn't meant for it. A year or so later, today, I order a lasagna, something my microwave is quite familiar with. With my vivid familiarity of microwave lasagna, I'm not proud to inform you that great-value microwave lasagna brings me more joy than the lasagna I had here. The lasagna here was not bad, but it was not good. I would eat this again if I was hungry, but I would never seek this lasagna out. Each bite was so oily that I became a meteorologist for my stomach's own forecast. While the oil was consistent bite to bite, the meat dispersion wasn't. The meat was hanging out on one side of the dish clumped up together, making the bites with meat feel either lonely or overcrowded. Now that I have tried a dish that I know how it should taste, I can admit maybe, "The Tortellini Michelangelo," is likely objectively not good too. Or I should just appreciate the one-note musky mushroom taste and nothing else. The atmosphere feels weird and tacky. I understand what they are going for aesthetically but the execution feels like a fake halloween mimicry, rather than being authentic. Not that I could tell you anything of being authentically italian. I am mainly thinking of the black drop ceiling tiles which turn into regular white drop ceiling tiles at the diagonal edge of the wall or any time there is a ventilation tile. The service was okay, it was very busy so it was hard to flag our server down, but nothing bad. Considering all of this, I think this place as a very middle of the road experience. It really only feels like it is doing the bare minimum to be a restaurant, as such, it meets my expectations for a restaurant.

It was so delicious the first time and even better the second time. Their shrimp Alfredo is the best I've ever had. The sauce is delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfectly I genuinely don't think anything could have been better about it. Their rolls are hot and fresh and the dipping oil it comes with is delish. We got our food quickly even though it was busy and the staff is all so friendly! Nonna's is definitely my new favorite Italian spot!

Chicken Piccata was light and fresh, although the chicken seemed almost poach rather than pan fried seared as described. The side Cesar was very good and the garlic knots were fresh and delicious. Two friends had eggplant parm that looked amazing and was a very large portion. Another had chicken fettuccine which looked equally good. The dining room was filling up as we left and the hard finishes in the dining room make it noisy which wasn't a problem for us, but wouldn't be a good choice for a quiet romantic dinner unless you dined very early or late. Small things when compared to the overall experience.

Wish we had just one more piece of garlic bread to eat with it! It was exactly what I was expecting. The pasta carbonara had a nice meaty flavor throughout from the guanciale. My husband loves meat so he added an Italian sausage which it really did not need. But I'm glad he did because the piece I stole from his plate was amazing with the tastiest char. I want to go back just for a side of Italian sausage. As for the wood fired lasagna... it was good. I saw reviews where people said it was the best they've ever had. I can't say the same. When the description says sweet marinara or sweet red sauce, believe the sweet part. This sauce is SWEET. It's definitely oriented for those who eat and love a lot of sugar. I personally think if it had a splash of béchamel on top to counterbalance the sweetness, it would be better, but that would totally change the dish. I'd DEFINITELY try their white lasagna anytime if they ever have that on special. The pistachio butter Panuozzo Dolce is pretty much exactly how it looks. Think of the pistachio butter just like peanut butter in texture. It's just green instead of brown, and tastes of pistachios instead of peanuts. It's wood fired dough and the pistachio butter. I think it needs some whipped cream on top to jazz it up. I'll try the tiramisu next time! I appreciate the decent priced bottles of wine. One thought on the decor (which is pretty cool), is that it would be really nice for those patrons sitting facing the big black wall, hanging some big black framed mirrors would be fabulous so we have something to look at besides our table mates. We will be back.

Fantastic you-pick farm!…read more I wanted to pick some sort of fruit while I was running around the countryside near Lexington. Yelp found Fahrmeier's Farm and a quick visit to their website informed me that blackberry season had just opened! Well who doesn't like blackberries? So off we go, ready to go pick some fruit on the way to the Battle of Lexington State Historic Park. Super friendly girl came out to greet us and escorted us to a row of blackberries that she said were especially delicious. She showed us how to pick them, twist not pull, and then off we were! These blackberries were the largest berries I have ever seen! A few were as long as my thumb. They were bursting with sweet juiciness. I couldn't help eating one or two during the picking process, but they all looked so good. I'm pretty sure I picked all of the best ones... lol... ok not really, but had a whole tray at the end of going down one row and back up the other side. All those berries cost less than $20 too! I think the total was like $17 and change for about 4-5 lbs at $3.99/lb. Everyone in the little market was friendly and they had a few things for sale there from their farm, fresh eggs, ginormous tomatoes (seriously, huge, like 3-4 lbs) and various other things including cold drinks. You end up with an open tray of berries in a bag that only covers half, so be careful driving with them. But I had the best time being a city gal in the country and seeing cute goats and birds flying around. I had some berries on my cereal this morning and omg so delicious - seriously the best I've ever had. My bf doesn't think I can eat all the ones I picked. Watch me.
