This place blew me away with how good it was. So amazing. Like stay in town another night to eat here again good. This was so reasonably priced. The service was delightful and the owners both talked to us. We got 2 appetizers: we got the individual loaded bread sticks, but that was a perfect appetizer. The green pork chili I didn't share because it was AMAZING. We got 4 main courses: individual pizza which was great, calzone which was amazing. And we got the pork schnitzel and the Parmesan chicken. It was all fantastic and we were so full. But still somehow made real life heart eyes when we saw the Philly cheesesteak and the wings go by. The facility was clean, and obviously loved. I've never seen a buffet as well-maintained as this one was. We did not eat the buffet but it's one of the few buffets in my life that I've seen that I would've eaten at. read more

I was so excited to try this restaurant, but when I arrived, it said that it was closed and a Mexican restaurant would be opening soon.

Our first time in was a great experience which means we'll definitely be coming back! We had dinner at this great little place based on wonderful reviews. We had no intention of having the buffet but were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well presented everything was. They have a salad bar, a nice variety of pizzas, and a few other dishes including Mac & Cheese and Pork Green Chili on the buffet and I'm sure this changes a little from day to day. Toward the end of our meal, the owner, Jessica, came to our table and asked if we'd like to test a new dessert item on the menu. Her Blueberry Cheesecake Tacos were delightful! The no-bake style cheesecake filling was perfection (not too sweet with great flavor) and the blueberry pie filling was a perfect accompaniment. We stayed at the KOA in town and a few campers recommended The Feeder. Our waitress was amazing as the rest of the staff. We had dinner here on 3/24/23 after a long day in the car they were pretty busy and it took a little bit to get our food but all of the food was super good and the staff went above and beyond to make up for the food taking a little longer. Wonderful service and they had a great pizza buffet! They also had some other appealing options but we didn't want to wait. We just got through a lot of hiking and we were starving! We were so thankful to find such a little gem open where everything else was closed! Fresh homemade pizzas were great, nice variety and they also had spaghetti, mac & cheese options along with a great fresh salad bar! Our server was super nice to our kiddos and even popped in a cheese pizza for the little ones. Desserts were a apple cobbler and some cinnamon sticks (which was really good!). We stopped in The Feeder Restaurant this evening after driving by and turning around for supper. Very friendly and attentive staff. Kept up with our drinks the entire time, and checked on us regularly. Everything was very good. Generous portions. I had the schnitzel- WOW! I don't know what is in that sauce, but that stuff had so much flavor! Twice baked potato was great! Wife said the catfish was good, mom said the stroganoff was really good- very tender meat, daughter said the huge parmesan chicken was very good too! Overall, a very good experience. She was doing AMAZING, but had at 10 tables to take care of (bring out food, take orders, and seat us) and there was a whole other dining room she was taking care of too! Our family of five spent a night in Horse Cave while traveling back to Wisconsin from our annual Florida road-trip and I'm so glad we did because The Feeder Restaurant was a highlight of this year's trip! Not only was everything delicious, but our server's attentiveness, including making sure we got tortillas for our special needs sibling and checking back frequently, made our experience top-notch. From yummy appetizers like the Steak Bites and Four Cheese Sticks, unexpectedly tasty dishes and sandwiches like schnitzel (a huge win for our German heritage), and the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, The Feeder had something that hit the spot for all of us. And with amazing prices, we couldn't pass up desserts! The cast iron chocolate chip cookie came out perfectly warm and gooey and the ice cream was the perfect bite. Went to cave city for a quick get away. Found the Feeder by chance and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious! They were short staffed but still quicker than most restaurants. They messed up our pizza and put ham on it after we requested it not. The waitress noticed it, we didn't, and immediately brought us a new pizza. If you're up that way, definitely stop by. read more

My hubby had the Pork and Apple Burger and added Fries($1.99) and I ordered the Beef Stroganoff after reading the reviews with a trip to the salad bar($3.50). Nice selection of toppings with your classic iceberg lettuce and a dash of baby spinach but after a long day of driving it hit the spot. Main course came out quickly and were enjoyed. Burger was cooked nicely and served on a Brioche Bun. The Beef Stroganoff had a nice flavor and plenty of well seasoned mushrooms...the noodles were the typical grocery store egg noodles but were cooked correctly. Two pieces of garlic toast on the side which I didn't even touch as it was more important to enjoy the tender beef. Negative were two things, an awful compressor noise that just would not end and a "convenience " fee for using our Debit Card. We travel this way a lot and will bring cash and stop again. read more
